Herb Nolan always knew he had a gutsy granddaughter but his admiration for 20-year-old Joni knows no bounds after a freak car accident left her alone on a road north of Pemberton, B.C., clutching her severed left arm.
"She lost a lot of blood but she never passed out or went into shock. She was determined to get help and get her arm re-attached," Nolan said Tuesday.
Joni Ross is in Vancouver General Hospital recovering from surgery after specialists spent nine hours last week re-attaching her arm that had been severed below the elbow. (http://www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/story.html?id=c1424bba-5516-4b02-96ba-1aca07af001b&k=44730)
