Planning a European summer vacation? Save your money.
Eight of the ten costliest cities worldwide are located in Europe, according to a recent survey from The Economist Group. (http://www.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/2007-03-05-most-expensive-cities_N.htm?csp=34)

Would've been interesting if they had provided the full list.

"The Economist Intelligence Unit survey compared prices and products in more than 130 cities worldwide and used New York as a base index of 100 for comparisons."
LA came in surprisingly cheap.

so much for my wish to travel the world... haha well at least il stay away from europe...
-
That says to the poor countries "Stay in your home you little third world person!" like mine in South America.
-
Tehran, Iran at No. 132, the least expensive city on the list.
I would much rather live here in Oslo than in Tehran, even if it's a lot more expensive to do so - and when we Norwegians travel abroad we're sure to find lower prices than at home. :D
-
I wouldn't live in Teheran in these days, you know...Bush is coming to get you and all....
-
Am surprised Banglore (India) doesnt figure in the list. I recently read that the tariffs in Hotels there were the highest in the world.
-
The cost of everything else is cheaper though.
