LU LU LU is probably the first solid GAM single, both A-side and B-side. If the album has more songs in that style than in the style of say, Thanks!, I think it should be okay :P LOL Still, it's either hit or miss...
But I adore GAM, so I'll support them no matter what :heart:

Indeed. A GAM album does not/should not mean GAM remixes (even though they'd probably sound good if they do harmonies).

Mini-albums are generally cheaper and have less crappy songs. But 9 songs is a lot for a mini-album and would mean 6 "new" songs which would be one less than momusu's. Since sexy 8 beat had sme songs I would have rather not have on the album I'm hoping having less songs will be a positive thing. I'm still not that excited about this album and have very little expectations.

And 9 tracks would make it a pretty short album... Hence a mini-album :P Most full-length albums are at least 10-11 tracks, so while 9 is pretty close to that, it still falls 'short.'

I'm wondering if the girls will sing together on all the tracks or if they'll get solo songs too, especially since both of them are soloists too :heart: It'd be great if we got a couple of solo songs, especially for Miki (since Ayaya is due for her next single soon :heart:)

One thing I love about GAM is that though both are really good solo artists, but unlike most groups that come from soloists, they're not competing with each other and you can hear it when they sing together. They mix very well and their voices compliment each other nicely. That said I do hope that they do have solo songs as it lets their individual talent show more XD

I had to go for both.

A friend and I were talking about how the previews really show an 80's J-pop influence, which I think fits them perfectly :heart: Their voices really do complement each other so well! My fave is Aijou Oasis so far... I'm sort of disappointed with Ichaicha Summer too, but then again, previews are always like that :p

The origin of GAM
GAM comes from "Great Aya and Miki." He wondered if there was any English meaning to the word GAM, so he looked it up and found out that it was slang for "beautiful legs."
So with the formation of GAM and the support of fans, the first album is made!
He's extremely happy.
He feels that the girls are at an age of being adults and come to understand the responsiblity of being adults.
There probably needs to be things that are good and bad judgments.
Friendship
Family
Work
The opposite sex
Traveling abroad
Delicious cake
Midnight calls
The theme of movies
Exercise
Bath, etc
He thinks there are many things with many temptations.
And for fans, he thinks it's wonderful if the two girls are always "sweet temptations."
Matsuura Aya
From when she debuted, her singing has improved drastically. The album is able to expand by her sense of sound. Her voice and Miki's voice are completely different and by the stablity of her singing he is able to create songs not created before.
Fujimoto Miki
In Morning Musume, she has the best dance performance. The album is packed with Miki's confidence. By pushing out a rythmn of a mild voice, the album has wonderful charm.
"Thanks!"
Theme: "In thanks for meeting a lot of people"
Starts with the debut song.
He made this song thinking it will be beautiful if it turns out to be song where it is "thanks' for the two girls who have been in the entertainment world till now.
"Purity Only"
Theme: "Purity of a maiden being in love desperately"
With an exception in love, he wonders that acting more on emotion than thinking in your head will result more in doing something you regret. Using a little deception, you put up with something and think to praise yourself; you give a present, but it turns out to be harmful. You feel that attacking straight on is not good, you don't want to be hated, so you think of yourself of not being good.
However, you don't want love to become like that. Especially with unrequited love, if it's an older person at work you see everyday, after the ship sinks, you don't want to be at that place anymore.
This song is about the conflicts of a girl's feelings. Not just the feelings of girls in the teens, but 20's, 30's and even 60's.
"Melodies"
Theme: "Confirmation of love. Possesiveness."
Very adult-like and there's no song in Hello! Project like this one and fits the right age of the singers. It turned out to be popular and the girl's singing fits.
"Love Boat"
Theme: "Facing the future. With lots of love."
Out of all the songs in the album, he is most pleased with the message in this one. The melody is natural and elegant, and he thinks that only these two girls can sing it.
The sound is a medium tempo with a good beat and a sorrowful guitar sound, especially the guitar solo.
The harmony is pretty and he is able to brag about being able to listen to it many times and has great affection for the song.
He wrote this song thinking life as like a big lake with a row boat in it. A sea has waves, but a lake really doesn't, but a rowing boat create waves, wind create waves, and it can look like it is about to rain. There are a lot of things so he tried to take those feelings and replace them with life.
"Kiss Me Here"
Theme: "The selfishness of women. The feeling of wanting to be spoiled"
Miki is the 1st chorus. Aya is the 2nd chorus.
Because it's about girls begging for kisses, it's better to see each person's expression.
Even though it's the same song, there the nuances changes. He hopes that the listener will be able to feel the sorrowful feeling in the song.
"Lu Lu Lu"
Theme: "Broken love by loving too much"
The harmony in the song is important for GAM. He thinks that Fujimoto's attitude toward music changed because of this song. He feels the power of Aya's singing and the method of Fujimoto's singing combined together makes a really interesting unit.
"Flirty Summer"
Theme: "Flirty Summer"
The song is loaded with harmony. A special point is that it feels like continous whisper singing. By setting the whole tone low instead of the key, he is able to pull out a wider range of vocals. He feels that Aya's good sense of musical interval you can feel the song is hot and cute.
Look foward at the girl's expression when singing this song live.
"Love Oasis"
Theme: "Exhausting all civility to love, you are about to fall in love again"
A girl who its tired of love, when she realizes it, she is already in love.
A girl who is always passionate cuts corners without knowing, when meets of a love not so great, becomes tired of it. And it takes awhile for the heart to heal. But when she realizes it she is ready to love again fully.
It's about wanting a little moisture from rain for the dry desert heart.
The beat to this song is funky, so try to imagine the two girls singing and dancing in a cool fashion while listening.
"...H"
Theme: "The night you don't want to return to"
Please read it as the letter "H."
The guy you liked had a girlfriend. The guy says the right things at the right times. You have no choice to believe, but the guy thinks about the ex-girlfriend. That's the guy you like.
It repeats like this day after day until you finally decided on a day to say your motives. "Stop meeting the girl! Spend time with me!"
The song is like a disco song. It really has a beat and the melody is full of sorrow.
"Sweet Temptation"
Theme: "Temptation"
The last song, the album title.
It might not be a simple success, but the image of succes, holding justice, one moves foward everyday. This song is like that kind of guy written in a girl's diary.
He feels that the songs are like the point where you can image the live performance of the two girls. He feels that this album is just right.
"Thanks Tempation Remix"
It has a guitar sound that is also like, "It also feels like this," so he is able to complete it in a new way.

Ajiou Oasis & Amai Yuuwaku went straight to my iPod and I think that soon will ･･･H & Junketsu ~Only~ do that as well. Still need to give Koko de kissu shite & Ai no Fune another try. I really don't like Icha Icha Summer.

I find the album rather weak, except for Junketsu, which is really addictive and ･･･H's kick-ass arrangement (you gotta love Shouichiro Hirata).

i'm quite surprised about the diversity of songs on the album.
the new songs sound ok to nice, esp. oasis and ...H
the only song i don't like is Amai Yuuwaku. It should;ve have went straight to MK...
also while listening the album sounded as if Miki went solo again. Ayaya is too much 2nd vooice. Well, that was kinda expected with a strong voice like miki and a more suubtle and soft one like ayayaa

However, I do think Ayaya got more part in it than i expected all together o: I thought it was fairly even, although definatly, without question slanted towards Miki. I think Ayaya made an amazing vocal perfomance throughout the album, reguardless 8D

I'm so in love with this album :heart: The previews were good, but the album as a whole is SO much better! My personal favourite is a tie between Aijou Oasis and ...H. Icha Icha Summer is also growing on me, and Koko de Kisu is wonderful ~ It shows a really mature side of the girls and their voices complement each other so beautifully throughout.
Could be the best album out of H!P this year...

The first time I listened to Melodies (last year)I cried. Though it's a song about love, It reminds me my classmate (she's in heaven now :fainted: ). The song's melody sounds sad and...I don't know, it just can make me cry...It's my favorite song of GAM, but in fact~ when I saw the PV I was shocked then :scared: It's good but out of my imagination. :dizzy: The PV has nothing to do with sorrow!!Aha~ It's so fresh for me~! I don't know what I'm talking about...I just~ just CRAZY for this ALBUM~! :farofflook: :luvluv2:
...H & 純潔～Only～ are very nice songs!! Don't miss them everybody!

BUT!!! the point is, both the 2 albums are AWESOME!!!(at least for me it is) :hee: It's a long time for H!P to have a really GOOD album.Those songs in mini albums or something are not that good at recent years...it seems like Tsunku's too lazy(or too busy?) to write songs so just give girls a mini or a best one...But in 2007 there're 2 Wonderful Albums so far!! Well, it's been about a week since I got the email saying that my CDs shipped. With the recent Miki-leaving-MM news, it'd be nice if they were here when I got home so I wouldn't have to go into the weekend on a semi-low note.

I recieved my CD on Tuesday (and had the self control not to dl the album before - didn't know I had it in me :lol:)
Didn't find time to listen to it til Thursday and my first thought after it finished the first round was: Huh, over already?
What a short album. The only song that stuck out after the first round was Aijou Oasis.
Now after listening some more I like all the songs, all for different reasons. It may not be the best album but it's not as bad as some say and in the end it's all a matter of personal taste ^^

My wishes were granted! I arrived home yesterday to find that both albums that I ordered had arrived! :rockon: This definitely lifted my spirits. :) Therefore, to celebrate, went over to a friend's house and BBQ'ed myself a steak. :D That sounds like something Miki would do, doesn't it? =)
