Man, great two chapters, seems as though Sayu perhpas left for her own reasons, and it seems as though she found someone in Jun but, she cant say that the loves Jun..... hmmm something to do with a certain Ai perhaps?.......

Seems as though they could be connected to this shootong to, even though it was not them and as undercover cops no-one will perhpas think otherwise either.....

And Ai, well seems as though she got through the scuffle on the train but it seems she is shocked at what Sayu is supposed to have done, I wonder what the mob bosses wife will tell her?

@oddy surprisingly my approach has been that everyone seems to have a link to the past and that link will bring them together one way or another

Chapter 8

Reina's POV

The feeling of hunger filled my mind as I headed over toward the police station.  After Ai left, I decided to walk into the convenience store.  It was weird that only a night ago I was on the floor with the robber inside.  My body lured me to the hot food section and I felt a tap on my shoulder.

“Hello… boss.”  I turned to find a girl bowing her head to me.

“Boss?  Who are you?”  She pointed at her name tag, I looked at it and read it as Maasa.

“I was a trainee when you left, Miya and Aika were my teachers until you left, they went their separate ways, and left me without a group.”  She explained.

“Aika went on deliveries and Miya was sucked into the prostitution.”  Her body cringed when I mentioned Miya’s name.

“I saw Miya a while back, she never looked like a prostitute, but she had told me about you going into the police force.  I never believed it because it would only risk yourself for your past.”

“Well, I did get in, because I had knowledge that could get the high officials fired.  However, they sent me into a special division, in which Miya gave me some insight.”  Maasa’s eyes lit up.

“Miya never gave up hope that you would come back, but I think it might work out for you, especially your compassion.”  She smiled as I took her to the side.

“I will still kill you if you do give it away.”  I whispered into her ear as she pulled away from my grip.

“Ok, have a good day!”  I grabbed the items I needed and walked up to the cashier.

As she progressed in checking out the piles of noodles dishes in front of her, I called Maasa over to toss her a container, and gave the cashier one for appreciation.  Then, I took Maasa to the side again while the cashier took the next customer.

“What about the youngins, how they doing?”

“They just make trouble to the local police and steal to feed the elderly.”  I smirked at the explanation.

“Thanks for the info, I’ll be back.”  I walked out and opened the container of hot noodles.

I put a decent amount into my mouth before chewing it, as I walked to the station.  Rarely, I could enjoy noodles but since it wasn’t an emergency, I could take my time to arrive at the station.  However, I heard my phone ring and answered it with my mouth full.

“Tanaka, swallow and answer me properly.”  I took down the big mass and wiped my mouth with the one napkin provided.

“Gomen, Nakazawa, what’s up?”

“Your partner is on her way to the station, please come down immediately.”  After she hung up, I dumped the open container into the trash and ran all the way down to the station.

After about a mile of running, I stood by the corner and someone pushed me from behind.  Before I could say anything, she lifted her head, and watched the banana get squashed.  Then, she looked at me through her sunglasses and ran away with whatever was left in her bag.  The tall figure left a receipt behind, in which I picked it up, and saw the name of the customer:

Coastline Protection, Inc.

I just slipped it into my pocket and ran the half of block down to the station where Risa had been waiting for me.

“Ai is coming back to the station, she was attacked, but it has been neutralized by her and Yoshizawa should be on their way here.”  She reported.

“I see, are we going to start on the interrogation?”  I asked as Risa looked through her notes.

“Soon, she has requested her lawyer, he should be coming down soon enough.”  I walked to my desk to relax as we waited for the people to show.

Risa took the seat next to me and we looked at the clock waiting who would come to the station first.  I was looking over at my food and offered Risa a container of noodles.  She politely accepted it and put it aside for later.  I didn't know when Ai would be coming so I placed it in the fridge and walked back to my seat where Risa put her head onto the table.

“Lucky, you get your day off, I have mines tomorrow, but I am tired.”  I smiled to agree to that point.

We were soon approached by Ishikawa who was waiting for her partner to come back after the response of the attack on the train.

“Takahashi is a hell of a cop, she took down two people with guns, Nakazawa should be happy that she didn’t follow Sayu.”  I turned to Ishikawa and tilted my head.

“What do you mean by that?”  Ishikawa paused before taking me to the back where the raid equipment was stored.

“After we interviewed Takahashi, we had a scoop that Sayu was given an opportunity to take on a better paying job, since Nakazawa had refused the transfer, Sayu went on her own by deserting the force.  She had been undercover since she had left us but we found out that Mrs. Kajiwara was employing her and two others.”

“If she is undercover then she could be helping us, but why isn’t she being cooperative?”  I asked as Ishikawa turned toward the room.

“For her own sake and Ai’s forgiveness, as a theory…”  I absorbed the words but somehow in me, I knew that I had loved her too much to give up for that reasoning.

“Sayu had a mutual respect for Ai, they spent nights together planning every thing out, I became kinda jealous when their names would up for anything because they were each determined to make things work out for each of us.”  She went on explaining.

“That’s why Ai never knew because Sayu had planned this all along, behind everything, she was determined to a cause.”  I began to speak to myself as Risa tried to catch my attention.

Before I could think about Ishikawa’s theory, Ai came through the front door, and walked through the door of the interrogation room.  Risa and I looked from outside as Ai became furious at the suspect.  It seemed that she had known this woman that she was inches from her face while she looked unfazed.  I knew that Ai could attack at any time and I charged in to protect Ai from anymore danger.

“Hmm, it seems you might have a person closer to you than that bunny.  I hope it serves you well that now you become enemy number one.”  Ai broke my grip and went back into her face.

“You were my idol when we were at the academy, I appreciated all the things you did for me as an officer, why do this to yourself?”  Ai visibly was ready to strangle her as I pulled her away.

“I’ll wait for my lawyer, so I can talk.”  She crossed arms while I kept Ai in control of her anger.

@oddy: the thought was if they manage to connect the dots, everyone gets into the action

Chapter 9

Sayu's POV

My mind was becoming congested of thoughts from the past.  I dropped the groceries off on the table and ran over to my room.  It was her again, she was still around, Ai has moved on without me.  The intimate thoughts I had began to muster up in my head had become shattered.  Although, I had held back because we were close, now when I am far away, I still can't get any closer.  I threw the sunglasses and hat onto the ground before locking it.

“Bunny, you forgot my banana.”  Junjun yelled out as she knocked on my door.

“I'm sorry...”  I mumbled through my tears.

“Sayu, you don't have to cry over my bananas.”  Junjun broke through the lock and saw me saturating my pillow with tears.

Junjun sat by my side as she caressed my body with her hands.  She knew how much I had suffered in my past.  The story about my childhood was scarring and leaving that imprint on her mind but hiding the truth was a great specialty to have as an officer.  However, Junjun was a great person to have around because she was the anti-Linlin.  She was caring and willing to accept my attitude.

“Sayu... a kiss can solve a lot.”  Junjun rolled me onto my back and pinned my hands down to the bed.

“Junjun... please stop.”  Her lips was on top of mines and my body felt that shock again.

It was a pleasurable feeling in my body as Junjun moved her hands under my shirt.  Before I could say anything else, the other Chinese came in to ruin the fun.  Junjun left me alone without a good bye kiss, I was still confused in everything that had been happening.  A few minutes later, Linlin dragged me to the front room and a fax came through.

Please come out to the parking lot below the lobby

-Anonymous

“Sayu, what do you think?  Shall we go down?”  I shook my head.

“I'll go down, you two stay here until the boss calls.”  I decided to put on my hat and sunglasses again to meet with the mystery person.

It was a short ride down to the basement parking and I had to keep watch on the person who called me out.  She was in plain clothing and she came out like it was a normal meeting but I had to hide my identity until I was required to give it up.  As I came closer, I knew who it was instantly, it was a friend that crossed me before.

“Isn't it the miss perfect?”  She smirked but she was distracted with the thought.

“Yes, Sayu, I'm sorry for before, although Ai is getting dragged into your mess.”

“Ai knows a lot and if she wants to find me, she has the information.”  The woman turned her head to the side.

“What do you mean?”

“I dropped my information by accident, she will give it off and she will know the truth soon enough.”  She grabbed me and slapped the glasses off my face.

“You will expose a whole new problem for yourself.”

“I know, but I wanted to help her ever since I left and this is my opportunity to do so.”  The other woman picked up my glasses and nodded to the idea.

She ran into the car and drove off out of the garage as I went back to the elevator, I felt someone behind me, and I turned to find Junjun trying to hide behind the pillar.  I grabbed her into the elevator and smiled at her as unbutton her jeans.  She froze as the elevator rose us to our floor, before she could stop me, we arrived and pranced away with her jeans riding below her hips.

“Sayu-san, I am sorry that Junjun followed you down.”  I laughed as Junjun tried to adjust her jeans while struggling through the door.

I spent the next few hours by the phone awaiting a call from the boss or Ai.  I acknowledged to myself that if I could help her, I would do it without thinking but hiding the feelings was becoming harder as Junjun was good at cracking my shell.  Junjun kept her arms around me while Linlin was busy with our meal.

“Junjun, please help me.”  The taller Chinese girl left and the phone rang when she left the room.

“Hello, boss.”

“Sayu, my informant told me about what you gonna do, I feel indifferent on your plan, since Kajiwara had been murdered.  Before you explain the plan, tell me that it isn't related to why you left the police force .”  I took a moment to think of a lie but I knew that it would work.

“I need you to give me the green light, I have an insight to catching that bitch.  Her husband was the goat to the prostitution, because she was once one of them.”

“Can you confirm that?  If you can break it open, you will be worth your cost here.”  He was excited but still I had to find a way to send it over.

“Let me help my former employer, she would accept any help.”  I heard my boss talk to another person in the room but it seemed that he might have been busy with another project as the others came in with the plans to other missions.

“I will let you go and help them, however it will be on your accord, so anything you do from this point on, it will cost you your job if anything goes wrong with the two Chinese women.”

“I understand, thank you for believing in me.”  I hung up and laid out the evidence on my bed.

Everything that I had gathered since the start and the discs filled with surveillance footage of Miki talking to lower level pimps and the meeting between Kajiwara and her.  A special disc was needed for the times she had laced his drinks with drugs that would knock him out before intercourse.  The last piece was the hardest part and luckily for us, she was willing to give it away when we took over her mission: A video of Miki and another man embracing each other.

It was months filled with stuff that I had kept to connect the prostitution ring to Kajiwara, but it wasn't until Miki showed up to become the leader, that it all had made sense.  However, with time not on our side, it would be hard to get myself caught up in anything but the mission.  Then, as I put the evidence away I heard a call the front and saw two policewomen in front of the three of us.

“Michishige Sayumi, you are being brought in for deserting the force, please come with us.”  I nodded and dragged out a suitcase.

“I'm ready, let's go down to the station.”  The two women helped me pack up the suitcase and I was on my way to the station since I left.

Chapter 10

Reina's POV

Ai was advised to stay away from the culprit after the outburst and the station watched as the man walked into the room and talked to his client.  Risa and I waited outside as Miki held her poker face when he described the situation.

“Tanaka, have you ever seen Ai angry like that before?”  I shook my head.

“That was the first time.”  Yoshizawa took a seat across of us and gave us a cup of water.

“She was Ai's commanding officer before she got kicked out for bribery, her husband knew what persuaded her the most, power.  Nakazawa was very careful in picking who goes where and when she got left out, she went after her but her worst enemy was Ishikawa because she got the prime position in internal affairs.”  Yoshizawa took a sip of her cup and looked at the room.

“She had thought she was being demoted to teach the younger officers and had thought them very basic things.  Takahashi grew fond of her and admired her until she graduated from the academy, Miki knew that she was an admirer, so she began to show her everything until the day where her secret became known.”  Ai came out to talk to us but I wanted to know more about the story so Risa went with Ai as I stayed with Yoshizawa.

“Miki had left three million yen in a secret locker, Ishikawa became suspicious of Miki having the key to the locker where IA was involved.  She followed her into the room and caught her red handed with the money in hand.  Miki grabbed the bag and ran out, I had come out and saw her with a bag of money, I tackled her down to the ground, and everyone gathered around the scene.”

“If Miki took the money, how did Ai knew about the case?”  Yoshizawa took the last sip from her cup and crushed the cup in her hand.

“Ai was just a victim because she was just following directions and had made a copy of the key for her, as Ai became involved in undercover work, Miki took the bribes under her nose.  In the end, she had hated her for using her and you saw that hatred toward her.”  Yoshizawa walked away as the lawyer walked up to her and explained the offer.

I watched Ishikawa and Yoshizawa shake her head at his words and Miki started to smile as the lawyer was having his way.  Then, Risa came in with Ai as she took another glance at the room, I decided to comfort her outside as Risa took a seat at the empty table.

“I guess you heard the story, you think I was stupid.”  Ai hid her face away from me while I tried to compose myself.

“No, I thought you became starstruck and when you finally learned her true identity, you got tricked, we all do that sometimes.”  I patted her on the shoulder and then a taxi pulled up in front of the station.

The woman hid herself with a baseball cap and sunglasses, her black hair stream in the wind, and she had pale skin for a woman.  She walked up to us and lowered her sunglasses hiding her eyes from us until Ai began to notice the face.

“Sayu?  Is that you?”  Ai asked as I looked at her and she lifted her face up with a solemn face.

It was the first time I saw her, she looked tired but still held her fashion in high regard with heels.  Sayu lifted Ai up from the stairs and I stood there frozen in front of her.  Before she could make contact with Ai, I stepped in and took her around the corner from the entrance.

“So you are the one that disappointed Ai, why did you come back?”  I asked her.

“I heard that Kajiwara Miki was in custody and I was going to drop off evidence to the station, also apologize for leaving the force without notice.”  I closed my fist and grabbed her by the front of her shirt.

“You left Ai, she believed in you and your ways in getting criminals, why?  Why did you leave for what you are doing now?”  She turned my wrist to break my grip and I felt the pain.

“It was because of you and that other woman, Ai had been trying to get a good word into that bitch.  She thought that I never had the core needed to lead a group like Ai, I wanted to show her but she hired instead of promoting.  When I heard that I got passed up, an opportunity came up to take the problem head on.  So, I came here to take down Kajiwara and the prostitution ring.”  My eyes turned toward Ai as she was looking at us.

I began to notice that Sayu was like any other person who deserved a better position, she pursued the normal path for a long time with no opportunity.  Therefore, she took the path that could help her friend and break the case wide open but we watched as Miki walked out.  Sayu stood in front of Miki and bowed her head as she walked into the station.  Ai watched as the bunny took her first steps into the building since she had left.

“Tanaka, we may need to protect her.”  I followed Ai into the building and stood behind Sayu as Ishikawa confronted her.

The duo took her into questioning and left her bag by the desk, Ai brought it up onto the desk and dumped out the contents.  It was filled with tapes and an album of pictures, there was also a small package wrapped for Ai.  She opened it up to the badge that was in Sayu's possession, I realized Sayu was not out there to cause trouble but to make up for her own mistake in judgment.

“Niigaki, take this to the back room, let the people there do their job.  Tanaka, have you considered finding me as your mate?”  I felt my hand being grabbed and she took me outside, there was a light drizzle, and she pressed her lips on top of mines like in the morning.  I wrapped my arms around her body and the showers came harder as we both embraced each other outside the station.

“Takahashi, get in the station with Tanaka.”  Niigaki yelled out as Sayu saw us coming in with our hands together.

“Takahashi-san, thank you for being a good person toward me, I learned a lot and I didn't mean to cause you this much trouble.”  She bowed as she began to tear up.

“Michishige, you are good at what you do, I envy that about you, you look much better than when you left, I feel bad that I caused the stress.  You deserved better and thankfully you got it.”  As Sayu began to walk out, Nakazawa came out of her office.

“Michishige-san, I got a call and you can help us to take down Kajiwara, Takahashi will be your consultant since you have worked for her.  Get your two mates down here and design a plan to finish up your mission.”  Everyone was glad that Sayu had returned with evidence but it was a long way from capturing the woman that Ai hated.

Chapter 11

Ai's POV

Reina and Risa had lunch duty so they went to get everyone lunch for the whole station.  Sayu and I were looking over every piece of evidence as the bountiful pictures were showing Miki as the ringleader but I had a hunch that we could catch her with the right people in position.  Since Miki knew everyone, getting a person to sneak in would be our first goal.

“Ai-chan... do we have a person willing to be bait?”  Sayu asked as I began to look around for a suitable woman.

“Well Miki would be very smart in remembering our faces, so a person outside the realm could play a pivotal part in catching her.”  I saw the exhausted duo come in with our bentos from the convenience store.

With the food, we began a silent period of finding a person to do some undercover work, Reina's friends could take on the challenge but their backgrounds could cost them at the end.  Then, I had a thought about the woman at the hospital.  She may not fit the image of a seductive dancer but it could give us a chance to infiltrate the stage.

“Kamei?  The nurse?  You must be crazy.”  Reina yelled out as she swallowed her food with the idea I had left for them.

“We got to try something, it may be a wild card, but we have to take a chance, unless you have people that may take her place.”  Reina shook her head and I proceeded to the hospital with another officer in the car.

We drove straight over to the hospital without any harm but we arrive to a crowd of reporters, then Kamei, who was trying to squeeze through the crowd, couldn't find her way around and bumped into me.

“Ah Kamei, what's happening?”  Kamei took us over to the side.

“The Fujiwara guy was killed by his wife but the police investigating the case mishandled the evidence of the gun and it had disappeared.  From the other nurses, it seems someone took the gun and hid it somewhere.”  I began to think about the possible places and then it hit me quickly.

“Kamei, let's go back to the station, we can get your stuff later.”  I grabbed her hand and escort her to the car.

We drove back noticing the crowd had observed the car driving away, I told Kamei to duck, and wait until we arrived at the station.  I called Reina over the radio to get a mask for Kamei when we arrived at the station.  The driver was skilled with the backroads and lost the crowd easily to our destination, knowing that they may catch up, Risa had the mask at a rendezvous point.  With Reina holding onto the mask in the front the reporters attacked her while we brought Kamei into the criminals' doorway.

“Risa, good job on remembering the emergency plan.”  Risa walked over to the front to get Reina and we all met in the interrogation room blocking the cameras.

“Kamei, we need you to be a stripper for a night.”  Her eyes widened as the rest looked around the room.

“It will be a hard process but we will plant you with Risa, she will dress up as a paying customer, the plan is to catch her in the backdoor.”  I explained as Sayu raised her hand.

“I have two others who might be willing to help, however the timing is important in catching her.  The problem lies in showing her crime.  Kamei will need to catch Miki's eye but the hard part is performing because she doesn't trust any others for her performers.”  Everyone nodded to the information until Nakazawa came in.

“Fujiwara is very simple, leave that to me.”  Kamei followed my supervisor to her room while we designed our trap.

The club's backdoor was a special location because it can get crowded at any time for new meat to be forced to perform any type of act in the back rooms.  Sayu knew the rooms had cameras, so she could monitor the customers from the control room.  After a few viewings from the hidden cameras, Sayu found the blind spot in the rooms.  Sayu saw a tray in the blind spot, where she would feed them drugs to steal money from the customers.

However, the crimes were happening on the streets, which the back door would be a good place to catch her in the act.  We spent the next four hours planning the sting and it seemed Sayu was controlling the conversation with her knowledge, but I still had to convince myself how Nakazawa could place Kamei inside the club.

“Ai-chan, let's rest for now, I think we may need food to get ourselves back into thinking again.”  Reina went into the pantry and took out the last four packages of ramen for each of us.  Right when reina had the hot water ready, Nakazawa came in with a smile.

“Fujiwara bit the bait, eat and set up outside, the first group shall be there soon and you support them with whatever is needed.”  I nodded as the warm water was being soaked up by the noodles.

I grew nervous with every moment and began eating the barely soft ramen, by the time I realize everyone had just started.  I decided to leave the room and enter into Nakazawa's office.

“Takahashi, Fujiwara was always an interesting officer, she worked hard and got everything, but money and her never got along until she blackmailed Fujiwara.”

“Blackmailed?”

“She had her reasons until he offered marriage, then she had to make a decision, when she went with him, her plan was to take him down, but since she had power, she disregarded everything right.”  I looked over to find the three were ready to go.

“She probably was going to kill him somehow, especially since she knew the business like the back of her hand from our side, anyways everything is in place, go ahead and slam the spike into her.”  I bid Nakazawa farewell and traveled with the group to the club.
