AKB48's sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai7 released their latest single, "Hetappi Wink" last week. this single got the 2nd position in the weekly singles chart and sold around 80,000 copies.

Watarirouka debuted back in 2009 with the single "Hatsukoi Dash / Aoi Mirai" and all their 8 singles released since then ranked debuted in the weekly top 10. For subunits, Watarirouka are now tied at first place with Morning Musume's Tanpopo as the unit with most consecutive top 10 singles in Oricon's history.

KAT-TUN achieved their latest #1 single this week, with their “RUN FOR YOU” selling approximately 152,000 copies. So far, all 16 of their singles and all 5 of their albums since their debut have reached #1 on the sales charts.

Meanwhile, the AKB48 sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 took the #2 spot with their latest single, selling over 80,000 copies. As a group, they now have a streak of 8 singles in the top 10 starting with their debut. This ties them with Morning Musume offshoot Tanpopo for the all-time record of most top 10 singles by a sub-unit of an existing group.
