Shrewd Proposal Chapter 4 5/12/2013 2nd update
« on: May 09, 2013, 10:17:51 PM »
NOTE: If you like plays, you'll like this.

Chapter 1

The birds called out their usual melody to awake the two from their sleep.  The elder of the two was a slender woman with long, black hair.  She reached up toward the ceiling and felt the edge as she reached out over to the other, who was wrapped up in her blanket like a child.

“Mayu, wake up.”  She mumbled as she reached out to touch the woman and rolled off the bed.

“Nee, stop touching my butt.”  She warned.

The younger of the two stripped off the blanket and walked to the bathroom as the normal routine would go.  The elder looked outside to the sun beaming in and rushed out of bed into the bathroom, fully awakening the younger one from her sleepy self.

“YUKIRIN!”

“Gomen, gomen.  We got to get going we overslept again.”

Mayu hearing the charge in her voice forced herself to finish her business and dress up in the usual shaggy clothing for their job.  Selling trinkets was their game and especially to people outside of Tokyo, it was a reminder of the glamorous city that many people couldn’t get to without permission but their items were made in the outskirts which made it easier to sell at a premium price.

Yukirin got into the same set and carried the heavy burlap bag into the cart that both share on their way to the next destination: Nagoya

The two set out toward the open road still smelling of the alcohol-filled room they were in the previous night mixed with their unwomanly scent of hard work.  Pushing it with three good wheels brought out many issues with the bumpy road ahead.

“Do you think we can find a better place to stay?”  Mayu asked.

“Maybe Nagoya we can sell twenty trinkets for the best inn.”

Yukirin dreamed of the vast open space and the alcohol flowing for her as Mayu could eat to her heart’s content.  It was open for them as it was untapped from their sleazy ways.

They arrived into the center of the city at noon where a crowd had built around the stage set up.  The two looked up to see a man dressed in his best clothing and next to him where two females stood behind him.  Mayu pushed the cart between the people to get a better view of the stage and stood on top of the cart.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I, Matsui Hiroshi will let my daughters court any person willing to catch their hearts.”  He started.  “Any person, male or female shall court one but the other must be courted at the same time.”

The crowd reacted over the decision as the courters lined up to the right of the stage leaving the two out in the crowd staring at the stage.

“Shall we try?”  Mayu questioned as she pointed the stage.

“We need to make money first.”  Yukirin reasoned as she pointed toward the half-opened box of inventory.

“If we court them both, we can live with them.  Don’t you think we can live in luxury for our lives?”

Yukirin ignored the younger woman and headed toward an empty spot next to the fruit stand.  The two stood over their cart as the people slowly came by and a short-haired person observed the trinkets with a close eye.  Lifted one in the air and flashed a smile.

“It would look great on you.”  She spoke to Yukirin.

“Thank you.  Would you buy one?”

“If it was for you…”

Yukirin’s cheek instantly turned red as she handed over the money to Mayu as Yukirin wore the trinket like a necklace.  She winked once before grabbing her hand.

“I’m Sae.  I’m the local prince around her.  If you want to know more about the town, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

“I’m Yu…kirin.  This is my partner, Mayu.”

“Hello to both.”

Mayu pointed over at the stage and noticed the line had shrunk.  She ran over to the end of the line leaving the two talking to each other.

The overexcited youth within gave her confidence and ran up to the man as she stared down the one near the father.  She was tall with black hair that reached to her shoulder.  She waved towards Mayu as she stepped up and bowed deeply to both of them.

“I’m Watanabe Mayu.  I want to court your daughter.”  She explained to the gentle laugh of the man.

“Well, Jurina is more of the boyish type and didn’t have a lot of suitors so you may but you must have a person for my other daughter, Rena to accept the full contract.”  He explained.

“I understand but may I talk to her?”

“Surely, you have a moment with her.”

Mayu stood erect towards Jurina as she grinned towards her.

“You may speak, Watanabe-san.”  She ordered.

“I am a merchant from Tokyo and have been with my partner for a few years and we have lived in every place imaginable.  The question is if we court both of you, can we live with you?”

“Surely.”  She replied.  “You seem rather sweet and if you need a place to stay, I’ll offer the cottage outside of the town for both of you guys.”

Mayu nodded as she let her giddy self let the emotions out in her brain.

“Meet me at dusk tonight.”  Jurina whispered as the family exited the stage.

Mayu returned back to the two speaking to each other and slid between the two, catching Yukirin by surprise.

“We have a place to stay!”  She announced.

“Mou… I could offer my place.”  Sae interjected.

“Sorry Sae, I couldn’t turn down this offer.”  Mayu apologized as Sae let out a sigh.

“I see.  Yukirin, I must go to work with my father on a new project.  I hope you two can survive here.”  She said as she waved goodbye.

“Baka.”  Yukirin yelled as the red flush turned into anger.

“Chotto matte.  I found a place for us to stay for a while but there is one problem.”

“What is it?”

“For me to be accepted, you need to court the other daughter.”

“No I won’t do it.”

“Please Yukirin, I can’t refuse such services and if you have a drinking partner you don’t have to bug me with your problems.”  Mayu begged.

“I’ll try.”  She breathed as a small line was created for them.

Readers, thanks for reading hope it entertains an idea to the inspiration although it is modified to enjoy the taste of other themes

@Shinoki: Love? That won't happen for a while.  It is non-existant for a reason

@cisda: Yeah that is mostly the whole story the courting process and the existance of Nagoya.

Although the MayuxJurina will be set the other pairing could be more complicated than just RenaYuki... just saying and I need to add in characters to round the Nagoya side of the story as Tokyo will be set in my characters :nervous

Chapter 2

The trinkets were cleared out of the box and politely turned the crowd away.  Yukirin and Mayu smiled at each other as they tore down the only box in their possession.  The sun had hit the edge of the day and Mayu went to seek Jurina in a place only she knew leaving Yuki by the cart.

“Hello.”

“Hello.  Did you want a trinket?”  Yuki asked as she gave her a smile.

“I wanted to go to Tokyo.”  She said with a grin on her face.

“I see.”  Yukirin turned away as she followed her sight to the other side.

“I know you came from Tokyo.  The people loved the trinkets but…”

“We cannot leave as of yet.”

“I want to be part of the troupe.  The name is Kimoto Kanon.”

“Kanon-chan?  We are unfortunately not a troupe but merchants selling our stuff to the local areas.”  She explained as she held her kooky smile.

“I see.  Prince Sae would not be pleased if it was known about the trinkets.”

Yukirin knew she was playing a trick to help her out of the town but for Mayu’s sake she was staying rather than leaving at dawn like usual.  Kanon grabbed the woman’s arm and dragged her to the stage.  Trying to fight it off, Yukirin witnessed a crime in progress.

“Chotto matte!”  She yelled as the hooded figure fled from sight.

Yukirin followed to the end of the block before another voice caught the girl’s attention.  She turned to another girl on the other waving us down.

“Non, please come home before mama gets worried.”  She pleaded.

“Kuumin, I’m just meeting a new friend.”  She called the woman over.

“Well I need to go too.  My friend should be back soon.”

She ran over to get the girl from Yukirin but stopped when she looked up at her.  She grinned at the elder woman and stood with her hands clasped together.

“I heard you were wooed by Prince Sae.”

“That is true but she is quite woman-like.”  She admitted.  “Why is she called a prince?”

“Well the truth is the king wanted a boy but got Sae which she was trained to be boyish.  However, all the women in the kingdom are boyish except for one.”  Kanon explained as it got Yuki wondering.

“Rena?”

The two nodded.

“Rena is the lone princess-like woman here.  Everyone else has established a boyish charm but because Rena has developed beyond the mold.  They designated her; the lone feminine other than the queen.”  Kanon gleefully pointed out as Mayu came around the corner.

“We need to go.  If you have more trinkets, please visit us.”  The two bowed before leaving.

“Hmm, those two are really cute.”

“Tell me where the house is.”  She sighed.

Mayu grabbed the cart and led them into a forest filled with leaves.  The fresh air was a different atmosphere than the town.  The path was cleared for both of them leading to a blue house.  They both entered into the house filled with ornaments lining the walls.  It was one floor with two beds on opposite sides of the house.  A partition separated the house that was moved to open the house to the lone window.

“It is such a big house.”  Mayu complemented.

“It is.  I should celebrate with booze.”  Yukirin joked as Jurina came into the house.

“Ah Mayu~ how is the house?”

“It is so good to be here.”  She commented as the younger female walked up to Mayu, moving her bangs away from her forehead.

“Where’s your sister?”

Jurina shrugged at the question as someone entered the door.  The two separated when the man stared at the three of them.

“My daughter has allowed you guys to live here for the time being.  I heard you guys are merchants so you should be planning to go back to Tokyo soon.”

“That is right.”  Yukirin confirmed.

“I see.  Jurina let them get settled.”  He commanded as she followed him out.

“He must think we are going to back out of our promise.”  Mayu pondered as she headed to the outhouse.

Yukirin parked the cart on her side of the house where there was a view of the ocean.  The soothing sea mist entered through the window giving her a chance to think about their next move.  As she closed her eyes, a sudden breeze blew through and she awoke to the slamming of the door.

“Hello.”

“Hello, who are you?”  Yukirin asked.

“I’m Matsui Rena.”

“I’m Kashiwagi Yuki.  It is nice to meet you.”

“Same here.”  She breathed.  “I know why you guys are here but I hope my sister and father haven’t been rude in any capacity.”

“They haven’t but they are concerned about our profession.”  Yuki informed.

“You guys are merchants.  I would be worried too because he sells dried seafood so anybody is a rival to him.”  She smiled.

“Hmm, I guess I could see the problem but since Jurina and my partner are willing to see each other, we should too.”

Rena smirked at the statement and bowed before walking out of the house.  Confirmed by the unusual presence, Mayu returned with a huge smile on her face.

“I have a bad feeling about this.”  Yuki thought.

“Well we both are in this together unless you want to stay at inns for the rest of your life.”

Yukirin nodded at her partner and slid under the sheets to start on her slumber.  Mayu turned in a little after and the lights automatically turned off with the wind.
-------

“Please don’t hurt me.”  He yelled as the blade reflected in his eyes

“You must suffer the consequences.”

The blade sliced through his warm skin.  The red splashed onto the face before it walked away with weapon in hand.  Throwing it away, a laugh echoed in the streets before the sun entered the sky again.

Getting interesting...

For now they are settling into the house...

King's daughters are all rose to be boyish, except Rena...

So Sae, Rena and Jurina are siblings?!

Well what's going to happen with the courting...?

Would Yuki courts Rena or Sae courts Yuki instead?

How about Jurina and Mayu...?

Who was being killed? by whom and why?

Can't wait to find out

Thank you for the update

@Shinoki: I guess it doesn't come off as boyish.  Jurina and Sae are boyish compared to the others.  Although the SKE girls I'm kinda going with whatever fits :nervous

@cisda: Well the king's daughter is Sae.  In which related to Jurina and Rena but their father is a merchant. (It will probably be displayed later on to why there is such a difference but the King and their father...)  So they are cousins without explaining it :nervous

The courting will come one way or another who will be first? yet to be seen

The person killed really isn't important   The person killing... is another story altogether.

Chapter 3

Yukirin awoke to the giggling on the other side of the room.  Seeing the two snuggling next to each other, she tiptoed past them and headed onto the forest path back into the town.

The crowd surrounded the center as the policemen were surrounding the slaughtered body.  Yukirin managed to get close enough to the source of the red river.  The head of the investigation ran her fingers through the short hair.  She removed her cap and bowed deeply to the victim as she looked at the woman.

“Morning.  Did we disturb you?”  She asked as Yukirin raised her hands.

“No, no.  I was just wondering what the commotion was.”  She responded as the woman smiled back.

“I’m lead detective Nakanishi Yuka.”  She introduced herself with a bow.

“I’m Kashiwagi Yuki of Tokyo.”

“Ah the courter of Rena.  She is such a sweet person but her love of spicy food turn people away.”  She mentions with her cap on her chest.

“Spicy food?”

“Yeah, she is the cook for both her sister and father.  Their tongues cannot handle her level of spiciness but she is also an ambassador for melon pan.”  Nakanishi explained.

“That is quite interesting…”

“Anyways, whoever murdered this person knew what it was getting into…”  She glanced at the body one more time before it was taken away with a cloth over his head.

“Seems rather odd to be killed by anyone here…”  Yukirin thought as the detective left the scene.

The dried blood was all what was left of the scene.  Yukirin pushed toward the shopping district to find groceries for them.  She wasn’t expecting anything from Jurina and getting stuff would be wonderful but she drew a blank in finding anything for them.  She ran back to the house to a meal laid out for them.  Rena waved at her as a bowl of brown liquid was covering the white foundation below it.

“Curry!”  Mayu yelled as she took the seat next to Jurina and Yukirin took her chair next to Mayu as Rena took the seat right of her.

Mayu scooped hers first as the three looked at her.  She placed the spoon into her mouth and let the contents rest for a bit before her eyes swelled.

“KARAI!!!!!”

“Mou… Rena-chan.  Do you taste your curry before serving?”  Jurina pouted as the elder female gave a smile.

“I do.  People have cat tongues.”  She teased as Yukirin nibbled at the little bit feeling the heat spread quickly.

Yukirin tried to keep a smile as Jurina forced water into Mayu’s mouth.  Rena ate the food like it was normal for her and glanced back a few times before realizing the truth of the situation.

“Jurina, I gotta go see father about something.”  She excused herself.

Yukirin watched her leave and let the half-eaten food roll off the mouth and fan off the heat that was lingering in her mouth.  Mayu regained her composure with Jurina holding her closely.  Yukirin wrote down a few items for themselves for the trip back to Tokyo.  She wrote down a date for their return trip as they had to continue selling in the thriving town.  Mayu was disappointed for the date but tomorrow seemed too soon.

“Yukirin, I need some other stuff.”  Mayu requested as she added to the list.

She left to go to the shopping district for the items and found that the money was well beyond the list and got a bottle of sake for herself.  Gleaming at the sky, the forest was different in the afternoon.  The overall view was a pleasant sight but the hooded figure between the trees caught her attention and saw it run off.

Instead of watching it go, she followed it to the shady area of the forest as it turned to stare at her.  Yukirin froze as it glared back for a moment before rushing off to the house.  Mayu stood near the window holding her shirt.

“I’m ready to return to Tokyo.”  She coughed.

“You don’t sound good.”  Yukirin said as she felt up her partner.  “You’re hot!”

“Don’t make me feel better.”

“You have a fever.  You need to rest.”  She commanded as Mayu took to her bed and Yukirin got a bucket of water and cloth ready for her.

Yukirin sat by her partner as she rang out the towel and place it on her forehead, continuing the process until she managed to fall asleep.  Exhausted from the day, she walked over to the bed when a knock at the door startled her.  She grabbed a metal rod from the desk and held it in her hand as she answered the door.

“Good evening!”  Sae greeted as Yuki dropped the rod to the side.

“Oh thank god you weren’t the hooded person.”

“Hooded person?”  She questioned as Sae closed the door behind her.

“Somebody has been terrorizing the area with mischief.”  Yukirin pointed out.

Sae tilted her head as she took note of the situation and nodded in agreement.

“I’ll look into it.”

“Thank you, Sae-chan.”  Yukirin bowed as she left the house.

Sae returned to the city center where the hooded figure was following a drunk from the bar.  She followed it closely but realized the person and held up her advance.  She watched the person slash the man’s back in one move.  She stared at the hooded person and froze to point out the familiar face.

“It can’t be.”  She mumbled.  “It was only in legends.”

Sae returned home to confess what she had seen in the streets to the confidant within the house.  She held a smile as the “prince” saw through her.

“You knew?”

“It cannot hurt you.  We want to eliminate people for a long while and now with the terror Nakanishi could never anticipate the issues.”

“Sayaka… please go with the merchants back to Tokyo.”  Sae commanded as she returned to her room.

“I know you love her.  I could tell in your eyes.”  She breathed.  “Tell me why you must torture yourself.”

The night had grown cold to the lifeless body on the ground.  The detective ran over to find the body immediately and called the team over to properly care the situation.  She saw the similar marks from last time and ran her fingers through her hair again as she pondered the few clues she had left.  In frustration, she left the scene to head to only bar open in the early morning.  Nakanishi looked around before taking her seat at the bar.

“Nishishi~ what are you doing here?”  The bartender asked as he slid a cup of seltzer to her.

“Koara, this is getting bad for the police.”  She confessed as she downed the liquid.

“Don’t let it get you down.”  He smiled as he filled up the cup.

“Koara, you used to be on my squad.  Why did you leave?”

“You are a beautiful person but I couldn’t allow anyone to prevent you from being promoted.”  He breathed.

“You didn’t love me.”

“It wasn’t love.  I understood your feelings.”

“I see.  I need you back.”

“Let me think about it.”

Nakanishi downed the second glass with ease as she dropped her money and tip before leaving.  The weight of the cases was heavy but once Koara was back on her team, it wouldn’t be a problem for her anymore.

Ah... Rena is the family's chef... I feel 'Sorry' for Jurina and thier father to always eat KARAIIIII food all the time... :nervous

Also Mayu and Yuki got the taste of it....

Ah.. who is this killer...? What is this legend that Sae talking about...?

Why did Sae ask Sayaka to go to Tokyo with Mayu and Yuki? Did Sae want Sayaka to protect Yuki?

Would the killer be caught by Nishishi soon before more people being killed?

Why did the killer killing people every night?

What would Sae do about it... since she is the King's daughter... it is her job to help keeping the country a safe and better place for the citizens?

Would Yuki and Mayu able to go back to Tokyo on time with Mayu down from a fever?

Would Yuki and Mayu come back to be with Rena and Jurina respectively?

Would Yuki choose to be with Rena or Sae?

Did Sae really love Yuki?

Can't wait to find out

Thank you for the update

@shinoki: Sae saw someone and talked to Sayaka (sorry for the confusion :nervous)

@cisda: Too many questions, will be answered later

@DC2805: Complexity works XD

Chapter 4

“Father, tell me why you haven’t told me of the crimes.”  She commanded.

“The truth is… we cannot expose the truth yet.”  He replied as he stroked his thinned-out lightly-colored beard.

“Uncle…”

“He doesn’t know the truth behind the problems we are facing.  He has disowned the name but his daughters are still welcomed.”  He interrupted.

“Father…”

“Sae, what you saw isn’t true at all.  It was an illusion.”  He explained.  “As for Sayaka, please help her take the merchants back to Tokyo.

Sae hesitantly nodded as she left the king’s presence.  Walking over to the Matsuis, she found herself in a weird situation, visiting her uncle at his house.  Sayaka followed her out and stood at the gate as she entered the house.

“Uncle.”

“Prince Sae.  Is your father still holding you back as a boy?”  He asked as she organized his inventory for the week.

“What about Jurina?”  Sae quizzed, getting a laugh from him.

“She’ll turn into Rena soon enough but if she feels comfortable in that role, I won’t change her.”

His reply got a smile from Sae as she analyzed the seafood for the townspeople.  Sae remembered why her father and uncle fought about succession.  When Jurina was born, their mothers developed a weird illness from a long trip to Okinawa.  Both blamed each other for the sickness and died a year after.  Without their mothers, the kingdom was between two men who were brought in as suitors.

Sae’s father was from another kingdom as Jurina and Rena’s father was from a poor merchant family.  Their grandfather had developed a plan to establish the rules but the daughters would become trained as boys.  However, Rena was protected because of a loophole in the four hundred year rules.  One daughter would be saved if and only if there was more than one daughter based of the king’s ruling.

The decision was delayed for three years when Rena developed the same illness that took down her mother but a spicy elixir saved her life and confirmed her existence as a woman.  Jurina was left in training when her grandfather died and thus started the fight.  Based on the observations, it favored Sae’s father and it left Matsui to leave the main house.  He was angered by the decision but Jurina insisted on training leaving Rena to tend for her father.

“I heard you are leaving them to the merchants from Tokyo.”

He nodded.  “I want them leave this wretched area for the riches.”

“I understand.”  She said softly.  “I want to protect your daughters, let me send you my bodyguard to protect them.”

“Sae… you don’t need to do that.  I don’t want to sacrifice a person for their sake.”  He fretted.

“I need to do so to save this opportunity.”  Sae bowed beyond the ninety degree angle.

He stroked his shaved chin slowly realizing Sae’s plan could potentially ruin his plan to let her daughters escape but to open an opportunity to get at the prince could ruin the king’s plan.  He took a moment to consider the decision but hesitantly accept the help of the bodyguard.  Sae relayed the message outside and dragged Sayaka over to the house in the forest.

“What is your deal?”  Sayaka snarled at the prince.

“We are here to protect our investment.  My father wouldn’t care but if I can’t find anyone, it will only put more pressure to find anyone.  She is interested in me so I’m taking a chance.”  Sae explained.

“Are you out of your mind?  Your father will kill me if he finds out.”

“I will go with you because we need to save the kingdom.”

“Your father won’t understand the reasoning but if you feel jealous, you should tell me before going off on a suicide mission.”  Sayaka informed her, stopping Sae in her tracks.

She began to breathe a little harder as she saw the house in sight.  Sayaka’s words drew a picture of what would happen if she followed through but the image of Tokyo seemed to intrigue her more and paced to the house.

“Hello.  Do you want to speak to Yuki?”  Mayu answered the door as her partner was in back tying her hair into a ponytail.

“I might as well announce that we will tag along with you guys on your trip to Tokyo.”  Sae announced.

“What about Jurina?”  Mayu asked with her small bag in hand.

“We cannot allow any more in the group.  I am under orders to protect the two courting the Matsuis.”  She lied as Sayaka nodded in agreement.

“Mayu let Sae lead us back to Tokyo.”  Yukirin cut in as the younger woman relinquished her thoughts.

Sae and Sayaka called the cart over to the town center.  Jurina and Rena stood as the merchants were driven out with the prince and her bodyguard.  Detective and Koara stood near the station as the cart was leading out to road ahead.  She looked at the elder person and flashed a smile to him.

“Four people out of the town.  Now we shall continue the investigation.”

“Nishishi, I didn’t quit yet.  We shall work around this until I’m come back.”  He said with a smirk.

“If there were any problems, you would be back quicker.”  She joked as they went their separate ways.

Kanon and Kuumin sat on their porch overlooking the center with juice in their hands.  Both smiled at the departure of the merchants but the fear still ran into them about the hooded person.  It was a relief to rid of the distraction within the town but the murders were becoming common with the courting of the two sisters.

Sae managed to get onto the dirt road and let the horses charged onto the straight path.  Sayaka sat with her back towards Sae as she watched the two merchants glancing at the nature around them.  The bodyguard tilted her head up as the mist gently hit the faces of the passengers.

“You guys don’t look like merchants.”  She said pointing out the clothing.

“We are starting out on a national tour.”  Mayu joked.

“We were promoting Tokyo when we got an offer to leave the city to sell trinkets to the nearby cities.”  Yukirin added.

“Trinkets?”

Sae reached into her pocket and handed it over to her bodyguard.  She looked at it from different angles and placed it in front of her.

“This is rather cheaply made.”

“This one isn’t.  It has a small nugget of gold from America.”  Yuki informed the bodyguard as she lifted it up again.

Sayaka saw the yellow piece in the insert and placed it into the pocket as the ride hit a few rocks on the road leading to the turbulence and Sae slowed it down to a trot.  Heading into the darkness, Sae pulled up into the nearby inn and parked to the side of it.  She grabbed the fodder for the horses and the group walked in realizing the front desk was empty.

“Hello.”  Sae called as she knocked the wooden table.

“Gomen.”

“Ah Oshima-san, your father runs this inn?”  Sayaka asked as the squirrel-toothed woman’s smile disappeared.

“He passed away a year ago.”  She bended forward.

“My condolences.”  Sayaka returned the favor.  “May we have a room?”

“Sure.  Do you like room service?”  She inquired as she laid out pictures of three attractive women.

“No thanks.”  They said unanimously as Oshima led them to the first room with futons laid out for them.

“Yuko, stay strong and avoid being perverted with the guests.”

The owner laughed as she closed the door to the group.  Sae was the first to turn in leaving the three to look at each other with the dim lights creating a romantic hue in the room.

“Why did you guys accept the offer?”

Yukirin pointed to Mayu as she gave her reason and Sayaka curled her lips.

“I guess the legend is true.”  She spat to the merchants.

“What legend?”

“The taming of the shrew.”  Sayaka pointed out as the two moved in closer.

“What is that?”  Yukirin asked.

“Matsui has two daughters and in Shakespeare’s play, “The Taming of the Shrew,” One suitor wanted to date the one daughter but left it up to the suitor to find one for her older daughter to gain his acceptance.  Jurina is naïve yet intelligent but Rena is cuter than everyone and is ripe for marriage but…”

“What is it?”  Yukirin asked.

“She is cursed with men.”  Sayaka stated.  “Five suitors, five deaths.  All of them slashed.”

“Really?  Is that why he wanted a woman?”

Sayaka nodded.  “If a woman can survive her, I would say she is the one.”

Yukirin saw the change in Mayu.  She knew that fishing Rena in would bring honor to the family but her heart was with a sleeping prince.  Yukirin calmly smiled before turning in for the night.  Maybe it could work if Mayu could help but with her heart and mind with Jurina, it would be hard for her, Yukirin was now in the bind to win over two people rather than one.

Ah... The King might be responsable for the death of those people...

Ah.. So the King and Matsui's father are just suitors from outside Kingdom...

I think They are not supposed to be the leaders of the Kingdom...

They can be the advisors until Sae, Jurina or Rena coming to age to rule...

Ah... Sae knew what happen she just want to leave Jurina and Rena to some unknown danger there...

Sae seems to like Yuki... or wanting to court Yuki for a chance of happiness...

But Matsui's father wanted his daughters escape from this Kingdom... that was why he wanted his daughters to fall in love with the merchants

And to follow them out of this ill fated kingdom...

Ah.. Poor Mayu... she wants to make the trip with Jurina...

Only 4 people can escape... if Yuki and Mayu going... they can actually go with Jurina and Rena... Then Matsui's plan is working

But now Both his daughters are in this forsaking Kingdom...

With no way of escaping...

What's going to happen with WMatsui?

Ah.. Yuki is being tricked somehow... by Sae... Sae making used to Yuki to go out of the Kingdom...

Which part of Sae that wanted to protect her cousins.... She wanted to protect herself....and only think about her own happiness?

Can't wait to find out what's going to happen next

Thank you for the update
