Someone please kill me for yet again writing another fic instead of continuing my current ones
I've been meaning to type this down though. Really. ;______; WFFVSFGVD "orz I should just die...
Anyway ;____; Here's the prologue... ;________; *Goes back to writing Unexpected*
PrologueThe cries of the cicadas began to fill in my ears as I slowly became conscious of my surrounding, my eyes fluttering open only to be greeted by the torturous shade of the reddish sunset from the window. Lazily, I sat myself up from my bed, leaving my hair flying from one direction to another. It was hot. Too hot. I could feel streaks of my hair already sticking on my sweaty skin, and my shirt which I had just changed into as soon as I got home from school already drenched with it.
I let my eyes adjust to the darkness before me. The sun had just set, completely invisible to my eyes with the night’s dark shade now taking over. Though I was too lazy to even think of standing, I still managed to crawl out from my bed, dumbly falling down on the floor with a slight thud as soon as my back met the cold tiles. Only then was I finally able to push myself up on my feet and drag myself to the light’s switch. Click. The sound almost echoed throughout my room thanks to the eerie silence enveloping it. The light flickered on and off for a second before finally deciding to stay on, lightening my once dark room.
The scene before me almost made me jump up in surprise, though I was more than sure that I was the whole reason for the mess inside my already too small room. Scattered clothes, books and mangas, figurines, blankets, stuffed frogs, used and unused socks, and is that underwear?
Despite being a girl, I never cared about being tidy. I didn’t mind leaving my room into chaos as I continuously throw my clothes on the floor as soon as I arrive home, picking up a random shirt and shorts from either my closet or yet again, the floor, to change myself into- whether it would be an already used pair or not, I couldn’t care less. Why bother tidying yourself up if once again, you would get dirty again anyway? It was a thought that would always come across my mind whenever my mother would scold at me for my sloppy attitude.
“Airi! I hope you’re cleaning your room right now! Remember, Matsui’s daughter is going to stay here for a few days!” I could hear my mother call out from downstairs.
Clearing my throat as I obviously forgot about it, I stared at the mess in front of me.
“…This is bad…”
