I like the way this OS uses some real-life references 

Btw, I took it as "bowling 90 degrees" …perhaps % is the symbol closest to "degrees" that can be found on our keyboard 

Anyway, fully understood that english is not the native language for most of us here, so perhaps we could focus more on the contents and story lines to enjoy these wonderful fanfics

I think learning to use a wider range of vocabulary in English as well as writing more detailed descriptions can improve the right feeling of the story a lot. Of course this not easy to accomplish - even for native speakers but more importantly for authors from other languages.
Nevertheless I'm sure jphip could benefit a lot from doublechecking own fics, using beta readers and asking for more detailed feedback from readers in future stories.
