I have expressed my hatred for Johnnys before, but please allow me to repeat. It's enough to split valuable tracks and PVs across several releases. It's enough to keep the boys from having their pictures be placed on drama character maps. Making it impossible to find viewable cover art less than a week before the release of a single or album? That is ridiculous!

I've been searching high and low for the Arashi covers, and now, thanks to the commercial for Aozora Pedal, we.. sorta have them. I screencapped them anyways!

Arashi performed a medley including Aozora on this week's Utawara.

The song is really starting to grow on me now, and JUN EXTENSIONS AHOY!

EDIT: Also note that the medley includes a performance of the great track "I Want Somebody" from their latest album, Arashic.

I liked the PV myself. It'd be nice to have subtitles to fully understand the dorama in it, but I liked the love story aspect. Plus, the girl was cute.

Doesn't keep me from wishing we got to see them actually singing the song, but I guess that's what we keep really good performances for.

One of the limited edition versions of this single is now up at JPopSuki. However, since there is nothing to really set this single apart from the regular edition (which has an extra track), and the PV is not included in the file, you might want to hold off for the regular edition to be uploaded.

In the meantime, be happy to download the two limited edition tracks and enjoy them until the regular edition shows up online. I've uploaded both tracks to YSI for you wonderful people. Especially suki, who has gone out of her way to support this thread with her posts. You and I rock, my cousin.

Actually, the title is a pretty confusing mix of engrish and japaneze. But whatever, take it as it is.

I actually quite liked 'Aozora Pedal'. It's a very "feel good" track. That and with Spitz's 'Mahou no Kotoba' which was BEAUTIFUL song of it's own, I'm looking forward to the OST for the "Honey and Clover" movie.

Arashi's Aozora Pedal finished at number one for the weekly sales! Congrats to the guys again. For a better comparison, let's look at the top four on the weekly chart.

1. Arashi - Aozora Pedal - 154832 units sold (1st week)
2. GLAY feat KYOSUKE HIMURO - ANSWER - 146750 units sold (1st week)
3. Koda Kumi - 4 hot wave - 75296 units sold (2nd week)
4. WaT - HAVA RAVA - 64351 units sold (1st week)

They just edged out over GLAY, but the rest of the new contenders sold less than half of what Arashi did. Only Koda Kumi stood strong on her second week sales.

Starting into their second week, Arashi is at No. 11 on the Oricon daily charts.

Total Sales Thus Far: 171193 units sold

Today, Aozora Pedal sits at No. 16 on the daily charts.

Three weeks on sale and Arashi's single came up at 20th on the Oricon weekly chart.

1st Week Sales: 154832 units sold
2nd Week Sales: 16361 units sold
3rd Week Sales: 8775 units sold
Total Sales Thus Far: 179968 units sold

I think it is safe to say that the single will get the 32 units sold to pass 180k, but I think it will quickly fall down the charts after this point. As of today, Aozora Pedal is no longer in the top twenty on the Oricon daily charts.
