BLOOD 7Hitomi and Maki were walking through the hospital hallway. Tired except to the younger girl who seems satisfied. As they neared the door, they noticed someone sitting on the waiting bench outside. She suddenly stands up. Her eyes show a slight shock after seeing them, while holding hands.
Hitomi let go of the younger girl’s hand in an instant. She didn’t know why. There is no reason for her to do that since the new fact she gain that night is that she’s been going out with Maki. The other girl felt the tension between Rika and
Hitomi.
“ I think I’ll get something to drink. “ remembered the vending machine they passed at the main door earlier. With that, she gave Rika a mocking gaze before walking back to where they came from.
Now, the two are all alone. But no one seems want to start. Both hesitated to say something.
Hitomi knows that she can’t remember anything. But seeing Rika, a part of her mind said that they already meet. It only that she can’t remember where and when.
“Is she really the one that I ‘ve met?” “ Maybe she just resemble to someone I know?” She thought. On the other hand, Rika is starting to feel heavier. Fatigue added with mixed emotion is something that anyone wouldn’t want to have. She can’t take it anymore. She wants to get away from that place. That’s why she tries to muster all the energy she has left for that day. She looks at Hitomi with a friendly face.
“ It seems you enjoy your dinner with Maki. I'm happy for you.” With that, she runs towards the hospital’s main door. Passing the girl who is drinking a coffee near the vending machine. She just got a glimpse of Rika but the tears are still noticeable. A wicked smile draws in her face.

The elegant room is filled only with ranked beings. Hitomi assumed it was. The way they dress, and a calm face like that even in the front of the mistress herself.
“ Ahh. Baron Dominique Randal. It’s nice to see you too.” Hitomi in French dialect. Oliver tried to hide his delight seeing the result of their hard work. He was surprise to see how fast Hitomi memorize some of the basic of French words. Little did he know the fact that Hitomi’s job includes memorizing lyrics or any kind of scripts.
“Please, have a sit.” Hitomi offers to her guest.
“After you. Mistress.” The baron said with a gesture. Hitomi took the offer and sit first. But the Baron didn’t take his seat. He slowly walks around the room while resting his hands at his back.
“ I thought it settled that I will reign all the House in France? What can I do for you now… Baron Randal?” Hitomi, ignoring the master of the Eye Society action.
“ Well, I’m satisfied with the result of the battle. I know that the houses will develop even more under your leadership. But a news came to me from one of my watchers saying that the new mistress is gone…. Soft?” He chuckled on the last word. Hitomi didn’t know if it’s an insult. She was about to blurt something when Oliver cut her out.
“What are you trying to say? Baron Randal.” In a protective tone. The Baron gave a look at Oliver for a moment. A smile draws on his face and returns his gaze back at the fascinating figurine at the table on side.
“What I’m trying to say is that it’s time for a new leader. Showing weakness like the mistress do at the start of her reign is not good.” Followed by a slight laugh. Oliver was about to start his move when Hitomi raise her hand saying to stop. Oliver got the message. He stops but unsure if he did the right thing. Hitomi just meet this man for the first time. She don’t know how cunning the Baron is. The real mistress can play mind game with the baron. And in the end, his mistress wins.
“What about Hitomi? Can she play this kind of game as well?” Oliver was getting worried. Hitomi look at him steadily.
“Is she reading my mind? Are you saying that I don’t have to worry?” Oliver thought. Then Hitomi smiled. This make him tickled a bit.
“ Alright, I’ll leave everything if that’s what you want. But if things didn’t go well, don’t you ever try to stop me.” And with that, he calm down and refocus himself to the baron.
“ Oh my. What’s with the face?” The baron said as a slight mark of anger show at Hitomi’s face. His wasn’t answered by words. It was answered by the heavy feeling that suddenly felt inside the room.
“Oh well, I think I have to leave.” And then, the Baron starts to walk towards the front door. Then he stops when he reaches at least 6 inch from the door.
“But before I do that… “ The Baron turn to gaze the Mistress for one more time.
“I want to say that everyone doesn’t have the same luck… always.” And with that, He left. Hitomi relax a bit as put some more of her weight on the single couch she’s in. Oliver motions some of their subordinate to leave them. They bow and left as well. Now, they are the only one who is present in the room. Oliver was impressed at Hitomi. She manages to act like a mistress even infront of one of the most powerful ranked vampire. He is jokingly thinking that she’s an actress.
“You’ve done a good job Hitomi. You didn’t show any intimidation even thought he challenge you for a duel.” Even though it was praise, Hitomi still wears a serious face. But when she looks back at Oliver, she is starting to get anxious.
“Is…is that what the baron said earlier?” This is where Oliver starting to get the hint.
“You manage to stay confident because you didn’t understand what he said?” Hitomi nodded. She can’t believe that she’ll put her life in line on this stupid nightmare. She was expecting some sort of comfort. But instead, Oliver laughs his heart out.
“Your serious?”
“Hey. Is that how you treat women in trouble?” Hitomi in her Japanese dialect. She’s starting to cry as well.
“Hush... No need to cry love. Don’t worry. I’ll think of something.” He said while reaching his handkerchief to her.
“Don’t call me love. Idiot. “ Hitomi while wiping off some of her tears.
