Man hid in body bag to solve three-year riddle

An investigator hid for five days inside a body bag concealed in the back of a hearse, as part of a secret operation to catch a vandal who had waged a three-year hate campaign against a firm of funeral directors, a court heard.

The investigator lay in a body bag inside the hearse watching live images from surveillance cameras on a computer, and saw Richard Bullen, 40, stab the tyres of the car with a woodwork tool.
