Appeal: Sex Offender Law Makes Homelessness a Crime
« on: July 08, 2008, 11:10:23 PM »
Quote from: news
ATLANTA — A strict new Georgia law is designed to keep sex offenders away from children by monitoring how close they live to schools, parks and other spots where kids gather -- and threatens them with strict penalties if they fail to register.

But what about the offenders who don't have an address?

Appeal: Sex Offender Law Makes Homelessness a Crime

Ahh... gee whiz, this homeless guy who is a registered sex offender, wants the registration law ruled unconstitutional as "cruel and unusual punishment"!

That was the same argument that the US Supine(!) Court agreed with when it ruled that child rapists couldn't be executed because it was "cruel and unusual punishment".
So, raping and abusing children is not cruel and unusual, but requiring that a "homeless" sex offender register his whereabouts is!

BTW, this dirtbag got kicked out of homeless shelter in July 2006 and now wants to be free from sexual predator registration because he is, well, "homeless". In China, this guy what have been executed for his crimes, but in the US, the ACLU will have another "poster boy" for injustices of the US legal system.

:(
