So when did you notice Ayaya for the first time and what did you think about her? And if you're a Ayaya-fan how did you become a fan? :pimp:

I do know about Ayaya ever since I know about H!P, but I did not become a fan inmediatly. At first, she attracted me for her PBs, and I started to listen to her music at a H!P concert (I can't remember which one) many years ago. And, woah... there's a long story but I can't remember all of it now :doh:Gotta take a break and edit my post later lol Post your story!!

I downloaded her Tropical Koishiteru PV from some japanese picture site when it came out. I had no idea who she was and I didn't like the song too much so I almost forgot about her.
Later, when I discovered H!P, I recognized her but still didn't care much. She was just there.
It took me until the release of The Last Night to realize her greatness.
*hides*
But I've been following her ever since. So it's more like love at second sight for me...

Ayaya was my number 2 almost since the day she debuted.  At that time my number 1 was Yaguchi, and then Yaguchi got bumped to third when Miki debuted.  It wasn't until I saw the 2005 HaroPuro Party that Ayaya finally became my number 1, and when she did it was like the floodgates had opened and all my repressed feelings for came rushing forth.  It was a very emotional experience, I felt like I had been denying Ayaya for my entire life.  I think I changed as a person when Ayaya became my number 1, before I could easily identify h!p girls that I hated and I had a negative attitude towards alot of things.  Once Ayaya became my number 1, though, I found myself much more accepting and I became a much happier person because of it.  Thank you Ayaya for helping me to become a better person.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of her but I buy her CDs. I think she has a pretty voice! And I think she's the most prettiest girl in H!P with talents. Before I used to think Maki is prettier (especially around Gomatto time) but somewhat, Maki has changed a lot over the years and gotten more fake. And meanwhile, Ayaya has gotten more beautiful and mature and I love her ballads. Her best looking time was around Watarasebatsu where her hair is getting long with no bangs!

I didn't fall in love with her right away either. I think the first step was The Bigaku. The Bigaku was the first new Aya single that came out after I had gotten into H!P. I liked the song and Ayaya looked really nice in the PV so I decided to start following her. However the next single was Sougen no Hito and I kinda forgot about her for a while. I finally became a fan in 2003, when Ne~e single and Alo-Hello PB were released. So I have been a fan for like three years and she is definitely my favorite H!P soloist. My love for Ayaya is so strong that not even her recent singles have been able to kill it

I didn't really fall in love with Ayaya right away. When I first got into H!P my only concern was MM, and nothing else. Ayaya, Maki, Nacchi, were all just..there. But then I heard Ne~e, and Dokki Dokki Love Mail. Who was this chick? Ayaya, of course. Good voice, but I still didn't bother much. Then I met a few people on IRC, who were MAD CRAZY about her. And it somehow infected me. I started watching all her vids, and listened to her whole discography. I also knocked my head on the wall a few times, thinking 'why the hell didnt i notice her?'. But I finally did. And now I am a new man.

While I have fallen out of Ayaya for a bit now, she is what got me into the H!P world. I heard Ne~e from some online Jpop radio thing when it came out, and instantly fell in love. I remember searching to get her mp3s to hear more and falling in love further, and eventually buying her first 2 albums and finding any other merchandise I could find of hers. I was into her stuff for a while before I learned about Morning Musume. and the rest, so she'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I saw her on Utaban. Ayaya vs. Tayaya stare battle. then I saw the Ne~e? PV. That's the song that got me actually listening to hp music rather than just watching the funny shows all the time. She's really diverse in the way she can act cute or really mature, even when she was young (like in that movie, "blue light"). Greatest HP artist in my view.

Boring, bland, I know . . . I accidentally d/led Doki Doki Love Mail while d/ling some random MM songs. Though I realized the song wasn't an MM one after I listened to it, I fell in love with the insane cuteness of her voice. I didn't follow her up immediately, but a few months later I fell in love with the AyaMiki pairing (damn fanfiction!), and soon became more interested in Aya than MM. xD (Not that I don't like them . . .)

Lately, I've been perferring her ballad songs, because I feel her voice is too good for the bubblegum stuff now. Why waste such a great voice? Anywho, it's interesting to see how everyone jumps on the wagon, though. And, even if you aren't a fan, you can't deny that she's got one of the greatest voices in H!P.

I think she's too good for H!P. I hope Tsunku would stop writing such childish songs for her.

As much as i love and am such a perv for her. I hope she doesn't hop on the "whoreish look" wagon ala koda kumi. She's better off looking classy and singing classy.

On that note, Gam is sexy as hell but not so overboard as to come off as slutty.

I am on an Ayaya high right now. She's so amazing. But I came to like her rather late like 2ish years since I got into H!P. I ended up downloading "The Bigaku" PV and thought WTF is with the "Livin la vida loca" sound? But it actually wasn't that bad (and now it's like my 2nd most favorite Aya song XD) She had good songs but I couldn't get into her cutesy personality, it kinda freaked me out esp. when she's all peppy and bugged-eyed looking. But when she started to do mature songs I started liking her more and when "Zutto suki de ii desu ka" came out that's where I was finally hooked. She's amazing in that song. Plus her association with Miki has made me like Miki more too, and now GAM is my favorite pair.

Hello everyone, I'm new here!!

For me it was love at very first sight. I never liked Morning Musume, and I didn't even know about the whole H!P stuff. I downloaded Ayaya's Alo-Hello DVD by chance, because this guy I was trading files on Winny had it, and I was curious about the so-called Idol (or Image) Videos.

As I started watching it, I was instantly hooked by Aya's beauty and genkiness :panda_love:She was so cute and so natural in that video, I was completely in love even though I couldn't understand a word she was saying :P

Her PVs Ne~e and Yeah Meccha Holiday also had a great effect on me. There was a time I just couldn't have enough of her. I remember of dreaming about her at least twice:oops:... anyway, later I realized she actually had a beautiful voice too. So, for over 3 years now, I've been obsessively collecting all Aya stuff I can get my hands on.

Thanks guys, it was good to let it all out! :D

I didn't get into her until I timed Ki Ga Tsukeba Anata(thanks Meowchi!:) ). That became one of my favorite songs as well as Zutto Suki de ii desu ka. I just love that song! I may be a beginner at Aya songs, but I'm starting to love her music!

I didn't know about her until a few months after I got into Morning Musume. at the time, I didn't really care for the rest of H!P, but it was the Kiseki no Kaori Dance pv that made me start following. I actually thought she was a MM graduate, lol. It wasn't until Minna no Terebi started showing when I really started liking her. she seemed very different from the rest of H!P. through her ballads I realized how great her voice was. then I stumbled upon her awesome jazz performances. shit, that pretty much sealed it.
