I don't think that'll really work. It'll just be annoying when you get back home.

Besides, good liquor stores have wine chillers anyway. Wouldn't take much effort to dunk it on your way out anyway.

A friend of mine went to Germany for a few weeks while working on her Master's Degree, lived with a host family and everything.  Apparently, beer (or at least German lagers) are SUPPOSED to be served at room temp, and NOT chilled. According to her, the Germans say that chilling beer deadens (sp?) the actual beer flavour (like the taste of the hops or something like that).

JPH!P 's kuro808, Fushigidane, ChrNo, Jab & marimari. Always.

It depends on the beer really. A lot of American beers (Coors, Bud, etc.) are intended to be drunk cold. Their also not particularly heavy of alcoholic.

Many German beers are thicker and better when they're not ice cold, even when they are lagers.

Honey beers like Sleeman cold go either way.

Anyway, I've got to spend the next four hours doing legal research, then I'll meet friends for some Strongbows.  :)

That senator needs to leave his cave and see the rest of the country.
