OK, I wasn't gonna do this, but I can't pretend this didn't happen. You all saw it! I can no longer be silent.
Dump Show SUCKED.
The biggest disappointment of the year. Why? I'll try to keep it short.

1. The story. What we get to see is basically 'the making of' Dump Show. Why they are doing it, how they gathered the girls, how they trained, etc. We barely get to see the actual Dump Show. The story of the first act, the first 33 minutes, are the girls failing at creating an interesting show. At around 32 minutes that guy comes down and says "ZENZEN DAME, it's not interesting, who would want to see a show like that?" And he's right, except THIS IS the actual show! If you know what I mean. I hope you know what I mean.
2. The songs. A musical should be bursting with various musical numbers. There is one basic theme and some songs, but there is a LOT of repetition and none of it is memorable. "Infinity" had a wide range of up-tempo songs and emotional ballads, which is what you want in a musical.
3. The pole dancers and the pole dancing. The professional pole dancers were really unappealing. Sure, they got in some jokes, but that's about it. Secondly, the AKB48 girls barely do any pole dancing! They do some quick moves during the practice scenes, but in the actual Dump Show, they stand on the truck playing with lousy props! wtf!
4. The outfits. The "Cindy made" outfits weren't all that, which I guess is part of the story... but the actual Dump Show outfits were disappointing too. The super hot outfits used during the promo pics aren't used in the musical at all!

...and then there's the 'sexy song' which has the daring dance moves with the akb48 girls spreading their legs in their sexy outfits, but it is so unbelievable. The song is horrible, it doesn't have any power or feeling. In addition, they smile too much. There is barely any 'sexual tension' or teasing going on at all.
However, there were a couple things I liked.
1. The line distribution. Every SDN48 girl, the AKB48 girls and other supporting characters had a good amount of lines. Sure, Amina and Mocchi are the stars, but I feel everybody gets enough lines to present themselves.
2. The SDN48 girls. Imo, they are the true stars of this musical. They had the best jokes and the best dancing scenes. I was especially impressed with Umeda Haruka. Funny, hot, a great dancer, a good actress, a true professional.
In sum, I am disappoint. IF I ever watch this again, it'll be for Umeda Haruka.
