Shattered Dreams- 6/14/14
« on: May 28, 2014, 09:26:45 AM »
It was just a normal day.

He glanced outside the window seeing the sunlight peering into the room.  The smell of bacon and pancakes were cooking as the bright-eyed had come in at the usual time of 7:12 to greet her husband.  Eye contact was a must.  They didn’t have to speak if they had their eyes met for a moment.  The sweet smell filled the house as he dropped the pancakes onto the plate as the wife picked up the few fried pieces of pork from the paper towel onto the clean, porcelain plate.

Every day for three months they followed the same routine without complaint.  The husband usually the early bird made the food while the wife would prep for work.  The only noise they would hear are the birds but it was eerily quiet on that day.  They ate their breakfast drinking the fresh orange juice he had made the night before chilled with the slight sweetness of honey drizzled covering the ice cubes.

At 7:45, she would be ready for the day and making sure the train pass was in her purse was her faithful husband kissing on the cheek as she walked out heading out into the driveway.  The husband looked outside again as the sun was at full brightness but the birds were not on the branches or even flying.  He stepped out smelling the usual grass and their neighbor’s cooking.

A sudden flash knocked the man off his feet as the run from the bright yellow had turned blood red.  He struggled to his feet as the sound knocked him back down hearing only the ringing in his ears.  The neighbors rushed out as the clouds had turned into a smoky gray.  He watched as the helicopters flew over them as the city was no more.  He ran to the phone seeing the message from his wife.

[I’m okay. The explosion happened toward the sea.]

He breathed as another flash had blinded him.  He rushed to the pillow blocking as much of the light before covering his ears when the ground had shook below.  The man felt disoriented as the blood red sun had become maroon with his neighbors by his side.

He gripped his phone hoping for a message.  Everyone had the only lifeline to their loved ones holding everything in the palm of their hands.  One had gotten their message and another few until he finally glanced at his phone biting down on his lip.

Hours had passed with no response as the sun still burned with fire as the clouds were still hovering overhead quickly spreading over the whole town.  The phone rang for him hearing about his wife was hit by the glass but it had made him cry with the grim diagnosis.  He drove down to the hospital as fast as he could.  People were packed worried when he reached the nurse and guided him to his wife.

The nurse gave him an oversized yellow suit.  He wasn’t sure to actually let himself die from the exposure but he decided to wear the suit and watched him be prepared before the doors opened to the room where two others were looking over her as he came running staring into her eyes.

“I’m glad you came.”

“I know you’ll get out of here.”

“Don’t make it hard on me.  You have me in your heart.”

She smiled.  The brightness in her eyes was now a dull brown as he held her hand.  He fought off the fear and placed his head onto her hand.

“You can make it!”

“Let me go…  You’ll live and I’ll pass on.  That is what has been planned for us.”

“I won’t!  I’ll squeeze it until you get better.”

She reached over patted him on the head and smiled as much as could before the sound caught his ears.  The two desperately revive her with what they could but the sound stuck as they pulled the plug.  He held her lifeless hand one last time before he felt his body being dragged out and the nurses pried his fingers off.  He wept for the first time in a while.  He didn’t want to remember when it was the last time he felt this horrible.  He saw them cover her with a white blanket before the doors closed on him.  He punched the wall with all his might rocking the station before crumbling to the ground.

“I’m sorry for your lost.”

He bit his lip and took off the suit before taking a shower.  It killed his heart the most.  He had projected a future where they would die in the same bed with everything withered except for their love.  That was gone.  Everything was lost on that day.  He returned home to the neighbors at his front door.

Many knew his wife well as they offered their heartfelt condolences.  He thanked them for their support before entering into the house where the phone had a flashing red light.  He pressed the button to turn on his voicemail.

“Sorry for your lost…”  It started.  “We are the Special Underground Police and we would like to recruit you.  Please call 81-58-4589-4135.  We want to help you.”

He jotted down the number and walked back to his bed.  Hours had passed.  Days had passed.  Weeks had passed.  He felt weak as he ate bits and pieces of food not going out to face the world he once knew.  He grabbed the paper and dialed the number within an hour; a package was dropped off in front of his door addressed to him.  He closed the door and opened the box to a bento and a player was set up for him as he opened it to the violent images of war.

“Are you ready to fight the fight?”  It asked as he saw the phone and pressed the call button.

“Welcome to the team, Kashiwagi-san!  You are officially one of us.”

Chapter 1

“Rena…  Rena-chan, I’m sorry for everything.  Does it feel great up there?  I’ve heard that you were at peace.  I’ll join you one day.  However, I’m finding out what had happened that day.  I’ll report back when I have the truth.”

Kashiwagi dropped the bouquet of flowers onto the tombstone.  He lit a few sticks of incense before pressing his hands together saying a prayer before bowing out to his deceased wife.  The weedy area was the only place he could afford after the expenses.  It was a beautiful area because it wasn’t perfect in his eyes.  Rena would have thought the same if she had seen the area.  The light mist fell upon him as he returned to his car.

“Yuki-san, how are you doing?”  The woman asked as they stepped into the gray Toyota.

“Sae-chan, it still hurts but once I hear what they did.  I will make them pay dearly for not informing us of the incident.”  He explained when she turned on the engine and drove off to the highway.

Miyazawa Sae had known the two from high school and hearing about their marriage, she felt happy yet jealous.  Rena had been her rival to Yuki’s heart but had an upper hand on her opponent.  Sae and Yuki were close because they had the same classes but Rena had joined them to work on a project and Yuki suddenly went head over heels over the pale beauty.  Sae kept her distance from their relationship but was a confidant when times were rocky.  She felt happy for Yuki since that time but time had passed that the love seemed to dissipate.  She took the exit to get back into the city and pulled into the parking lot.

“Sae, thanks for the ride.”

“No problem…”  She said with a smirk grabbing the handle before she closed her hand into a fist.  “I have something to confess.”

“Yes?”  He responded as he walked back to the car.

“You know in high school…  I had a crush on you.”

“I didn’t know that.”  He smiled.

“I just wanted that off my chest.  If you need anything, just give me a call.”  Sae stepped in the car when Yuki knocked on the window.

“I’m glad we stayed friends though.  It wasn’t Rena that I was worried about for most of the time.  You show your feelings easily and I felt horrible inviting you to the wedding.”  He explained as Sae grabbed his hand.

“I was happy.  You know I was happy to see you with her.  She may be gone but you hold her deep in your heart.”  Sae comforted the man before releasing his hand and driving off into the city.

The area was empty and pondered if it was the right place.  It had been three months since the invitation but he had to wait because of a snap election which the majority party had won which led to riots in the streets.  Yuki had seen it on television as it played out and another phone call came out of the blue.  He was finally given directions and the day had landed on the seventh month of his wife’s death.  The bouquet was on his front porch as he thought that they were sincere about the death.

Yuki walked around the area and the place was dry.  There were no oil spots or water tracks. He finally had given up when a voice came from the distance.  He walked toward the sound where it was dark and the smell of fresh strawberries had attracted him over.

“Welcome!  I’m sorry for not contacting you when you were here.”  The feminine voice apologized as the door was opened into another cave-like area.

The door closed behind him and the lights were turned on.  He saw the person with a mask of a dog before it was removed to the rosy face of the woman.  She hid her face behind her hand before leading him down the corridor.

“I didn’t know you were handsome.”  She commented keeping her eyes forward as much as she could.

“You are beautiful too…”  He responded as she grabbed the door handle.

“You better stop it!”  She showed her face completely exposed of red.

The door was opened to a room filled with people.  They were running around like ants passing folders to the next person before running back as the two weaved through them to a set of four offices.  She took her to the first office on their left opening to the smiling face of the female.

“Mocchi, thank you for bringing him in.”  She said as she left while he took a seat in front of the smiling woman.

“I’m Kashiwagi Yuki, nice to meet you.”  He introduced himself as she nodded with a manila folder in front of her.

“I know because I called you.  It is a sworn secret that you will not disclose my identity.”  She began sliding the folder over to him.  “I tend to follow everyone around and have agents to get you if you give it up.  It won’t be easy but do you best.”

“My question is what I’m doing here?”

“Your mission is to access the computers set up on the government level.  They are corrupt and the ones who caused your wife’s death.  We are in knowledge of the mission they are planting on Tokyo.”  She elaborated when Yuki opened the folder.

“Can I get a brief explanation?”

“The surface is that they want to eliminate treats but are willing to sacrifice the innocent to scare the people like you.  Our mission is to eliminate the people behind the program.”

“I have another question.  If you don’t mind?”

“Sure.”  She said with a smile.

“What’s your name?”

“You call me cyborg.  Your name will come when you’re set.”

Yuki had given her a nod as she stood up when he took out a card from the folder.  It was a red card with coding on the bottom.

“Your section will be the color of your card.”  She explained when Yuki opened the door to the vast area and saw the red area when another woman came up to him.

“The name is Akicha!  I’ll show you to the red section.”  She grabbed his hand and led the way.

“You are quite nice.”  He commented when she looked back at him.

“Thanks! “  She said.  “We rarely see men.”

Yuki figured that they were just anxious to see him when Akicha placed her hand on top of his chest.  Then, a storm of women came after him as he swiped his card to gain access before the stampede came to get him.  Yuki saw Akicha pressed against the glass before continuing down the corridor to the room with monitors all over the area.  He was surprised by the amount of hardware in one room then the phone rang.

“Cyborg speaking.  I shall give you the name Black.  You will print out reports and scan it over to me every hour.  I will determine your breaks as for now, please get the first report to me.”

Yuki wasn’t sure of the process but he looked at the book and pressed the buttons to get a sheet come out with letters and numbers.  He slipped the paper into a slot and it was sent away.  He took his seat as he waited for a confirmation and a red button had begun to flash.

“Cyborg again!  The red button needs to be pressed in a few minutes.  When I say to do so, you press it and watch monitor fifteen.”

Yuki nodded and heard her voice to do so and pressed it finding a man came and shot the man coming out from the crosswalk when the guy escaped from the scene.  He froze watching the man bleed holding his fingers over the keyboard.  Yuki saw the monitor in front of him with a blinking cursor.

[What did I just see?]

[The start of the new world order]

Chapter 2

Cyborg smiled seeing the attack done in plain sight.  It was redemption.  It was perfect.  It was revenge.

The day of the bombing she had returned to the dorms with her two friends, Miyazaki Miho and Ota Aika, hoping to catch a movie but the order of martial law had been in place with the guards setting up their posts.  Myao had a string of crimes to her name had walked up to the guard as he proceeded to push her away.  Myao being the person who wanted answers had gave him a fist into his midsection when Cyborg turned to ask what had happened.

“We cannot classify that, ma’am.”

“My father is chief of police.”  She stated as the men glanced at each other.

“If so, we cannot tell you what has happened.”  He replied as the officer was helped to his feet.

Cyborg knew that the call would go straight to the father’s line and called him.  The call first went through the secretary and then to her father.  His voice was broken but the deep, soothing tone was still evident.

“Mayu, are you okay?”

“I’m fine, dad.  What is happening?”  She asked as the three girls decided to go back inside.

“There were bombings near Tokyo Bay and within the city limits.  We’re expecting more to happen anytime soon.  Don’t fear anything.”

Mayu hung up as she heard the words from her father and insisted to stay in the dorms for the time being as the guards surrounded the school.  Majority of the students were upper class children with their parents electing them to go to such a school.  However, Mayu had felt the turn in her stomach and ran to the bathroom.  Aichan and Myao quickly ran over seeing the vomit in the toilet handing her paper towels to wipe her mouth.  It went silent for a few minutes before someone had ran in with news of a gunfight against pillagers after the evacuation order had been called.

The school itself knew about the bombings but insisted to not inform them immediately and only by word of mouth through other sources that it was officially on lockdown.  Mayu kept the wastebasket by her bed as she spewed out saliva to rid of the bad feeling in her stomach.  After a few hours, she sat up and asked for water when her phone rang.

“Hello!”

“Is this Watanabe Mayu?”

“Yes it is.”  She answered politely as another shot of her stomach pain had struck her.

“I’m sorry to inform you about your father…”

She didn’t respond after that as she fell to the ground cursing at the wall as Aichan had picked it up to hear that he had died in an accidental shooting.  The news companies ate at his death.  He was the first police official to die of friendly fire.  Mayu felt the tears create a puddle around her after hearing about the death of her father.  She felt that a hole had been created in her that no one could ever fill.  Mayu had finally looked at everything and grabbed a knife before a call that changed her life.

Mayu had received a package from an unknown source after the call of keeping herself alive.  She carefully opened it and the first thing she saw was a note:

You shall now be called Cyborg.  You will never feel this pain again. –Anon

She opened to find a USB drive and a stack of paper under it.  Mayu lifted the papers up and flipped through it until there was a highlighted paragraph.  She scanned the paragraph with her eyes growing bigger.  Her body started to steam as she read every word and did it one more time before seeking the USB drive.  The drive had a spread sheet of all the names and configuration to getting them.  A software installation popped up and accepted it as it quickly took over the screen of her laptop.

Her friends didn’t hear from her until the time she had been granted money to create a front.  Myao and Aichan had made a café with others in school as Mayu quickly built the system around her.  The people she had hired were directly affected and all were woman until she heard about Yuki.  Her mentality had become her namesake.  She analyzed everything about him and his deceased wife.  It was perfect to bring him in because of his cautious nature.

The blast had garnered the underground community to attack the government officials, especially the ones who had killed her father on that faithful day.  She sat back staring at her screen waiting for the next printout when a scan came in with the disappointment.  Cyborg kept herself busy with puzzles or trying to update the front’s website for customers.  The next phase was still in the works with the opportunity to acquire funds for an international branch when she saw a message from Yuki.

[Seems rather boring]

[Don’t worry about it…  You’ll be surprised by what we do for fun.]

[I wished my wife was still here…]

[I wish the same as we didn’t have to be part of this mess.]

She turned toward the board and saw the next set of people she had to call and set up the software to mask her voice.  Cyborg knew not all will join the cause but enough will see what the government had done to betray them.

“Hello, Miyazawa Sae.  I want to ask you a question…  Does your lover know that you are still in love with a man from high school?”  She smiled as the voice of a man had asked her.  “If not, I think we can let her know.”

The person hung up as she went to the next number and stopped midway at the name.

“Sashihara Rino?  This will be a fun conversation.”

Chapter 3

Sashihara saw her phone light up seeing the name running across the screen.  It took a moment to remember who that was as she rolled to her side covering her body with the sheet.

“Cyborg, why are you calling me?”  She asked waking her mate from her slumber.

“When are you going to join me?”  The woman smiled through her voice modifier.  “Also, how’s your girlfriend?”

Sashihara knew Cyborg had harassed her enough times that if she saw Cyborg it would end easily in her favor.  However, the day of the bombing she was at work when the quake-size shake dropped her to the floor.  The government had announced that they were being attacked and she walked down from her floor to the streets.  The people ran around as she saw the clouds turn gray and decided to return home to an envelope in the mailbox.

She opened it to one word typed out on the paper.  From the corner of the eye, she felt her body hit the ground only to the eyes of the attacker before her breathing was impeded to the black background.  She awoke to the water bath from her captors.  Sashihara felt the cold atmosphere around her as the people were hidden in the dark.  Her body had been stripped of her clothes as she feared for anything else as the first man came to the light fixing his glasses with a scar from the side of the eye down to the corner of his mouth.

“I know that you know Representative Ichikawa as his secretary and his mistress.”  He smiled as Sashihara shook her head realizing the cloth wrapped around her mouth.

“Is something wrong?”  He asked as Sashihara murmured loudly as the guy untied the cloth.

“I’m not his mistress.  I’m his secretary.”  She stated to the laughter of the captors.

“Are you sure?”  He held up a pole when Sashihara closed her eyes.

“The truth is he tried to get me but I couldn’t allow myself.”  She explained when the next man came up.

“What was the deal?”

“There was no deal.  His wife wasn’t active anymore and he boasted about his size but nothing else I swear.”  Sashihara muttered as the man lowered the weapon.

“Do you know about the truth about the bombing?”

Sashihara shook her head.  If she knew anything, she would spill it easily but something told her it was a setup for opponents.  The men looked at each other before the last man came up to the light with his zipper down.  The other two left as she closed her eyes feeling the pain between her legs.  The frustration of the event led her to be fogged up as she returned to his office in an expletive-heavy rant about everything that had happened to her.  The representative only nodded before she stormed out.

The evening news was about her as she was cooped up in the apartment.  The representative stepped down from his post but kept his position until the election ousted him.  Sashihara had thought about taking him down personally but lacked the motivation.  Her girlfriend, Kitahara Rie, was a vocal opponent and gave her the drive to go against them.  It was a tough road but Kitahara was the only person who could soothe the soul that was damaged.

“I would join but I’ll do the dirty work.”

“That’s nice.  You may have to sacrifice yourself for the cause.”  Cyborg briefed her.

“We understand the consequences.”  She stated as Kitahara wrapped her arms around her waist.

“Ichikawa might do another run…”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Finish him!”

Sashihara smiled at the idea as Kitahara turned on the lamp in the room seeing her girlfriend’s smile.  She nodded at the fact that she would receive her weapon in a few hours.  Kitahara leaned in hearing the rest of the conversation before Sashihara hung up.  Kitahara leaned in for a kiss as Sashihara returned the gesture seeing the eyes of her partner.

“We are going to Akita to take out Ichikawa.”  Sashihara informed her as a smile appeared on her face.

“I heard we need to make aliases.”  She added as Sashihara confirmed.

“I can go by Wota.  How about you?”  She looked at the lips of her partner.

“What do you think?”

“I think Unagi is fine.  You want to do a little something before the guy comes?”

Unagi stared at her before sneaking under the covers.  She was used to exploring the body and the moaning started again as Wota sneaked under to fight off the offensive.  It continued until the sun came out where they were spread out knocking the blanket off the bed.  Wota turned off the bed and landed on the hard ground when she heard a knock.  She threw on her pajamas as she carefully approached the door and opened it leaving a small opening to see a box at the door.

She carried it inside seeing a pair of matching shirts and jeans.  Wota saw the gun with a box of bullets holding it up to the lamp she was assured of its power as Unagi got the phone with the lone number left in the contacts.  They assumed it was the contact person and gave a call to the contact which they confirmed receiving the package.  The last item was the tickets for the train before packing their bags to Akita.

The duo approached the station’s platform when Unagi noticed a man dressed in black.  Wota had kept the sights on the guy as they boarded the train with him.  They followed him to the seat seeing his bloodshot eyes.  She confirmed the identity and took their seats behind him.  Wota had begun the thoughts of how to make it easy when she held the gun in her hand.  As they approached Akita, the man was sitting up straight fighting off slouching in his seat.

They arrived at their destination when the man ran up to his wife and kids.  Wota placed the weapon back into her pocket as they followed everyone to the car where they drove off.  The two turned to find their contact.  She had amber red hair with sunglasses on top of her head.  She was in plain clothes like a local as she pointed them toward the meeting place.  The woman was quiet as the two talked when she handed them a card.

“Call me Myao.  If you guys find yourself in trouble, give me a call.”

They left her in the lobby as they ventured to the hotel where they prepped themselves for the event in their disguises.  The sun passed over to the west as they walked out to see a group gathering in the middle of the park.  Wota held the gun attaching the silencer she kept from her time working within the government before walking to the area.  They placed themselves on the side of the stage across of the seated.  The MC stood up on the stage as the family was introduced.  Wota held up the gun and rest her arm on her partner’s shoulder.

“We give ourselves five minutes before we get to the rendezvous point.  The tree has an open spot so we can hide as we head toward the spot.”  Unagi explained as Wota readied her shot.

As Ichikawa approach the stage, Wota placed her finger on the trigger and counted from ten.  Once she saw the opportunity, Unagi heard the shot and walked back as Wota threw the gun to the hole.  The people screamed at the sight of red flowing from his ear.  The rest ran around in chaos as the two got to the park and saw the car sitting there with Myao.

“Good job.”  She smiled as they left the scene.

Chapter 4

Cyborg heard the job was done as she saw another report came to her through the printer.  Her eyes scanned through the clutter and sighed at the lack of a target.  She glanced up at the clock noting it had been a whole day had passed without any command coming from her.  Her workers were away from the floor only leaving the two isolated in their pods.  She pressed the button staring at the red light that was turned on.

“Yuki-san, are you there?”

“I’m here…”  He replied rubbing his eyes after staring at the monitor for the fifth hour straight.

“Do you have something we can talk about?”

There was a silence between the two.  Cyborg could hear the breathing from the man as she stared at the night sky in one of the cameras.  She began to wonder why she would bring him in and then a grunt.

“It’s really nothing but I want to hear your story.”  He replied when she pressed the button to send the report over to him.

“My story isn’t as tragic but I want to get my revenge.”  Cyborg closed the monitors and sat in the darkness of the room.

She closed her eyes remembering back to the day as it imprinted her mind to only go forward and destroy the fabric of the government.  There were many people who seemed to understand that it was normal.  To Cyborg, it meant war when the voice awoke her from her meditation.

“What about love?”  He asked feeling the stinging in her heart hearing such a word.  Cyborg regretted not having to have somebody to be close with before the incident.  There was no way she could ever accept or give out any in her current state.

“It has no existence…”  She said pressing the button again.  “I will live alone.”

Yuki felt his heart wanting to say everything about the word especially Rena in her final moments.  He could hear the tone coming from her and nodding in acknowledgment he couldn’t break through to her.  He pressed the button and moved up to the mic.

“Good night!”  He greeted as that was the final words she had heard before walking over to the cot she had set up for herself in case of anything.  Time was no factor to her as she pondered over the scenery and held her pillow near her head as she dozed off.

Yuki opened the pod to the empty work floor.  The recycled air blew in like a strong breeze as he walked back to the room where he sat before the assignment and took a seat staring at the white wall.  He started to remember his code name was Black and drew out the character to black on his hand.  He placed his head on the table as a shadow came across his vision instantly shooting up in his seat.  The chair across of him was moved as the eyes were only visible feeling a hand reach across to grab his.

“Who are you?”  He asked feeling the chill run down his spine.

The person didn’t answer with the soft lips touching.  He mellowed into the action before pulling back remembering his wife.  Black escaped the room feeling out the walls before pressing the button and rushing back to his pod touching his lips seeing the rose-colored lipstick on his fingers.  He dropped to his knees regretfully apologizing to his wife.  He heard the machine again and looked at the report before sending it off to Cyborg.  A loud voice broke his concentration, as he set his sight on the camera in the heart of Tokyo’s red light district.

A man was stumbling out onto the street when he passed by a pair of scantily dressed women when the two fought off his advances, he tumbled into the streets where the car ran over his body.  Black closed his eyes before turning off the monitor and turned to the button.

“Cyborg, are you up?”

“I just saw it myself.” She confirmed with a tired tone in her voice.

“Are you going back to sleep?”  Black asked letting out a yawn into the room.

“Maybe not but what were you doing outside the pod?”

Black smiled at the question.  “I needed to stretch out my legs.”

“Sigh…  Next time tell me because I need to make sure the security alarm is off.”

“Okay, I’ll tell you the next time.”

Black sat back in his seat closing his eyes with the image of the guy being crushed by the car still fresh in his mind.  He smelled the air of the area before a cough awoken his spirits.

“There’s a door to the left of you.”  She said as Black walked over opening the door to a tunnel with bright fluorescent lights lining it.  The path was filled with cold air filtering past her within the cement walls.  He finally got to a metal door and knocked three time before it opened up to another dark path but the light was dim as he closed the door behind him.

“I’m in the next room.”  The voice announced as he proceeded toward the door opening to a sky blue room seeing the woman in a white pajama set.

“I see someone had gotten in a kiss.”  She smiled.

“Whoever it was, she was quick about going for me.”  Black explained as Cyborg handed him a cup of tea.

“You asked about love and I never really saw anyone so I never tried after my father’s death.”  The woman sipped her tea seeing him gulping a bit of the liquid down his acrid throat.

“I always wanted to live with Rena since I met her.  She made everything different for me.”

“Before you continue, I called you here so you can sleep.  We only have a few minutes before it works.”  Cyborg explained when the effects started to kick in on both of them.

“I wish one day you’ll feel it too.”  He smiled before dragging over to the cot and diving into it as she followed to the large bed and closed her eyes for the night.

Yeah that is the main problem between them as Yuki wants to close the gap to at least a friendship

Chapter 5

Yuki awoke to the sound of the alarm for work.  The loud screech made him wanted to bang his head against the wall as Cyborg hovered over him with a smile.  He saw the paper bag in front of him and opened to a plain bagel and next to it was cream cheese and chopped up strawberries.

“I was wondering when you would wake up.”  Cyborg smiled.

“It isn’t fun to listen to a screech while on a sleeping regiment that is unknown to me.”  He rubbed his eyes before placing each of the items onto the table.

Yuki never got used to with his nickname.  He wasn’t sure how the nickname would fit over a period of time but he noted in his mind   He spread the white cheese onto the bagel and sprinkled the strawberries over the cheese.  He opened his mouth feeling the mixture of warm and cold in his mouth before pulling it away slowly chewing on the item.  Cyborg jumped onto the machine glancing at the monitors hoping for another target to pop up.

“Cyborg, I still remember yesterday’s conversation.”  Yuki said after swallowing the bagel as she turned with a smirk on her face.

“I don’t have that type of memory.”  She smiled before turning back to the monitors.

Yuki muttered his codename a few times before leaving Cyborg’s area to head back to his pod.  The hourly reports continued with little progress when there was a knock at the door.  Yuki opened it to a person in a coat with a smile on her face.  He remembered her but couldn’t recall the name as she peeled off the robe and approached him from behind feeling out his ears.

“Black, I feel your frustrations about this job.  Believe in Cyborg.”  She whispered, pinching his ears firmly in a circular motion.

“I feel puzzled about Cyborg.  She explained it to me but…”

“You want to know about her?”  She leaned in feeling the warmth going to his back.

“Yes!”  He yelped as her arms wrapped around his neck.  “Do you know something that I should know?”

She kissed on the cheek as he turned to see her as she lunged forward onto him.  Yuki kept his eyes in contact with her as she leaned in feeling his quivering lips against hers.  He kept his hands to the side as she continued to kiss him until she placed them onto her bare chest and Yuki slid out of the situation as he quickly bowed toward her.

“I’m sorry.  I can’t be thinking about this while I’m trying to remember her.”  Yuki explained as she threw the robe back onto her body.

“I see.  Mocchi will always remember that you need a massage often because Black is quite tense when he is thinking.  Relax Black and then you’ll understand Cyborg.”

She left as the words still rang in his ear.  How could he be calm thinking of her?  It was near impossible to relax while thinking of Cyborg and her story.  Black had finally thought that it was hard to trust someone she had just met but the conversation was about their lives and knowing the truth about Cyborg seemed difficult in his mind.  As the thoughts brewed, another report came out and sent to Cyborg as he looked at the monitor at the army charging into the city.

“Cyborg, what’s happening?”  Black asked the woman as she was analyzing it from the monitors.  Cyborg turned the camera with a smile growing exponentially as they pushed down the gates.

“The start of the revolution.”  She explained.

It was the people finally taking what was theirs.  The government had run hours earlier to a plane heading to Guam for their start of exile.  The people ran and cheer throughout the streets without any bloodshed.  The military was setting up a temporary government in place and the leader was a noble woman who had the knowledge and courage to save the country they had once loved.  She was also affected by the bomb as she was facing the enemy within her company.

“I, Akimoto Sayaka, will oversee the government in the interim.  We will set basic rules to calm the violence set up between the old government and its people.”  She stated over the television.  “People shall follow all rules or face stern punishment.”

Akimoto was a firm believer in control but that day, it wasn’t normal for her to face the government she had once obeyed.  The bombs were set up by a rogue company which the government had authorized to do so under some supervision but it went horribly wrong quickly leading to the deaths of people innocently framed for doing the mundane roles.

She had learned of the cover up swiftly which led to her few choices and decided to slowly turn the military against them.  Day by day it was the process to control the people while setting up a plan to take out the government.  She placed the attacks in perfect locations where no one would notice the military’s presence.  The day had come to take down the top official when she exposed but it was too late as her soldiers had become assassins, taking out people at will.

Akimoto had installed the makeshift cabinet of her subordinates to discuss their next move which was meant to create a new government for the people.  She had purposely chosen the women that had made her to the position but none were experienced enough to control such chaos while settling down the population.  She faced them once before the offensive but now within the capital, it seemed as a quiet protest with all waiting for Akimoto’s next move.

“Who shall take over?”  She asked them as they looked around the room.

“I would think you should be a permanent leader.”  One said as Akimoto fought off a smile and pointed toward the next woman.

“If not you, we should make a serious consideration toward Takahashi Minami.”

The group consulted each other before nodding in unison.  The disperse throughout the building as Akimoto picked up the phone and gave a call to the leader of the independent party to be informed of a decision to pass control over to her.  She nodded as her small group drove over to the building heavily guarded by military guards to talk about the new government being installed in the near future.
