Ok... Here's the first chapter. I had to break it into several parts because like i said before it's waaay too long (20++ pages on MS Word
)
but even after I edited, it still too long to put it in one post. Please bear with it
so here's 1st Chapter part 1 part enjoy

Chapter 1
ASCENSION
part 1 The Hunt
My eyes snapped open. I wanted to scream, but there was a hand over my mouth, soft and tender.
Fear gripped me. I lashed out at my attacker. Then my senses returned and I realized it was just her, holding my screams so that I didn't disturb anyone on the house.
I relaxed and tapped her hand to show that I was alright. She released me and stepped back, her eyes filled with concern. She handed me a mug of water. I drank deeply from it, then wiped a shaking hand across my lips and smiled weakly.
"Did I wake you?"
"I haven’t sleep yet," She said. She took the mug from me and set it down.
"It was a bad one this time. You started screaming five or six minutes ago, and only stopped now. The same nightmare?"
"Isn't it always?" I muttered.
I swung my legs out of my hammock and sat up. From the darkness outside, I know it’s still long time until the dawn breaking. But I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep any more. The nightmare always left me shaken and awake.
“Nee… It’s just a nightmare. Don’t let it bugging you.”
She hugged me from behind. Her arms circled my waist. She put her chin on my right shoulder and kissed my cheek.
I turned my face, I saw her smile at me. Her smile calmed me a little.
“Thank you.” I smiled back and kissed her forehead.
“Now… Since you are wake up and not shaking anymore, why don’t you help me with my work. I need to check the supply and make a list of it.”
“Well… Why not. I surely can’t back to sleep again. And I think I some fresh air.”
We went to the warehouse in the back. Actually it’s not a real warehouse. It’s just a room which full with unused items. But she decided to cleaned it up and put all her supply there.
As we came inside, the scent of herbs and other medical ingredients tickled my nose. I saw lots of sacks stacked on every part of the warehouse. There only small part left for a table, two small chairs and a cabinet at the other side of the warehouse. At first I hate those smells. But now like it. Somehow it feels refreshing. I took a deep breath, filling my nose with them.
She smiled at me as she walked to her chair. She pulled out a perkamen and start writing.
“So, what should I do?”
“Umm… Can you bring me the file over there? I need to cross checked it with my list.” She pointed at a bundle of old perkamens above a sack of Dry Roots.
I took the perkamens and put it on the table then sit infront her.
“Here,”
“Thank you.”
She took the perkamens, open it, hold it in her left hand and back to her writing. Her eyes move back and forth from the perkamen on her hand and her writing. Sometimes she stoped to check is there something she missed or not. And sometimes she makes those funny faces when she found any mistakes.
Damn. I love those funny faces she made. They always makes me smile. So I just sat there and watched her doing her job. Somehow I managed to forget about my nightmare by seeing her doing her job seriously.
“Hey… Why are you staring me like that?” She waved her hand before my face.
“Uh… Nothing.”
“Something wrong with my face?”
“Nope. Your face just as cute as always.” I smiled, seeing her blushed.
“Mou… You just tease me.” She pouted. Makes her face even cuter.
“I thought you will help me.”
“Well… I will. I just don’t know what to do. I see everything already organized as usual.”
I spread my arms around, showing her what I mean. That’s another thing I like from her. She loved to make everything in order. Not like me who never bother with ‘chaos’. Sometimes I think it’s a miracle we could get along each other. I mean we are way too different. Is this what people called as ‘Opposite Attraction’? Or is this destiny? Well I don’t know.
“Why don’t you tell me what should I do now?” I asked her.
She tapped her chin with the back of her pen, thinking.
“Hmm… Can you count Agrint’s Dry Roots and Azhpha for me? According my note, we only have few of them.”
“Aye Ma’am.” I stood up and salute her. She rolled her eyes at me.
I steped back and turn around. After few steps I stoped and turn to her again.
“Anyway, where do you put those things?” I smiled foolishly. Scrathcing my head.
“You can find them on the second rack near the window on the upstair.” She sighed.
“Wokey…”
“And don’t forget to put them back to their place after you finished.” She added.
“Yes Ma’am. Your wish is my command.” I bowed to her. I heard she chuckled.
I went to 2nd floor and found the rack she said. Actually it’s not hard to find everything here. Like I said before, she loved to make everything in order. She arranged all the ingredients based on name and even put label on each rack.
I start counting the Agrint Dry Roots. There are many kinds of Dry Roots. And these Agrint’s Dry Roots are one of rare ingredient that came from Frost Agrint, monsters that only can found on the far side of the Frozen City of Beluslan – I don’t know how she managed to get these. Even though Frost Agrints are common on that area, it still hard to get the dry root from them. Not only because they are agro but also because not every of them have decent root to take. Not to mention there are lots of other agro monsters around them.
These roots are versatile. You can make various things from it, depends on how you cooked and mixed them. It can become a very nice medicine or even a deadly poison. If you like spicy food, just add a slice of it and it will rise the Spicy Meter from your meal. Just remember don't add it too much or you'll have fire breath like a dragon. literally.
It took some time for me to count it. I must treat them carefully since it’s rare and fragile. I don’t want to get scolded for break it.
Yup still enough stock until next season. After finished counting the dry roots, I moved to the Azphas. Like the Agrint’s Dry Root, Azpha also a versatile ingredient. And luckily it’s not as rare the other one. You can find Azpha almost in every part of the land. And our village was blessed with lots of wild Azphas.
When I checked, the jar almost empty. Only few bundle left. It takes no time for me to count it.
It’s done.I put the jar back on the rack and headed down stairs.
As my foot landed on the ground. I saw her already fall asleep on the table with hands still holding pen and perkamen. I shoke my head and smiling. I walked toward her slowly. I remove the pen and perkamen from her hands, lift her up and take her back to the house.
I lay her on her bed and pulled the blanket. I heard she mumbled something.
Ah…She must be dreaming. I remove few strands from her face so I can clearly see her sleeping face. Anoher thing I like from her is her sleeping face. So beautiful. So cute. I kissed her forehead then leave.
As I’m about turn around, I felt her hand holding mine.
“Where’re you going?” she asked with sleepy voice.
“Back to my room.”
“Please don’t. Stay with me tonight, will you?”
She pulled my hand. Moved her body away a little, give me space to lay beside her.
“It’s been a while since the last time,” She whispered. Her breath tickled my ear, makes me shiver a bit.
Before I know, she already kissed my neck. I can feel her soft lips running through my neck upward to my ears. She rubbed back of my ear with her nose. Her hand circled on my waist. Her fingers moving around my mid section.
“I missed you,” She whispered again, licking my ear lobe. Makes me moan a bit.
I turned my face to her. Our eyes met.
“I missed you too.”
She closed her eyes as I bring my face closer to hers. I kissed her eyes gently. Put my arm around her. Hugged her. My lips move to her cheek, down to her chin, tracking her jaw line and stoped at her lips. I can hear her soft moan as I run my fingers along her arm,
She opened her eyes and smile.
“I love you,” She kissed my lips softy.
She’s right. It’s been a while since last time I feel her soft sweet lips on mine. I returned her kiss.
Slowly, our kiss become more passionate as when our tounge take part on the game. I let her tounge sliped into my mouth. I sucked it a little before touch it with mine. My tounge lead hers dancing inside my mouth.
She sliped her hand under my shirt and rub my bare skin. With her nails, she draw a line over my back. She moved it up and down along my spine slowly. Teased me. I huged her tightly. And moved her body under mine.
She broke our kiss and turned me over.
“I want you tonight,”
“I want you too...”

“MINA… WAKE UP!!!WE GOT PROBLEM!!!”
I heard someone yelling and knocking the door like crazy.
Who the heck is that…I open my eyes and slowly walked to the door.
I saw a familiar face standing in front of me. Her mouth wide open. Her eyes filled with shock.
“Why are so noisy Haruu? And what’s wrong with your face?”
“I’m the one who should asking question here WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING NAKED LIKE THAT IN MINA’S ROOM?!” she yelled at me.
EEH?!Her words shocked me. Made me completely wake up. I turned my eyes down. Looking at my body.
Oops!!! I looked at her again and smiled foolishly.
“Jeez… You guys. Don’t tell me you two were…” Haruu facepalmed herself.
“You better get yourself dressed Yui. And tell Mina we got a serious problem.” She continued.
“What’s wrong Haruu?” I asked her while I put my clothes on.
“You’ll know when you see it. Just hurry up. I’ll be wait you two at warehouse.” She turned around and leave
I shook Mina’s body, try to wake her up.
“Mina… Wake up.”
“Morning~” she open her eyes and yawning.
“Morning.” I smiled at her. She smiled back at me. Kissed my cheek.
“Harru is looking for you. She said we got problem.”
“Haruu? Problem? What problem?” I shruged my shoulder.
“She said we’ll know when we see it. She wait us at warehouse.”
Hearing me said about warehouse, Minna suddenly jumped up and run outside. I chased her and catch her hand.
“I think you better put your clothes on. I don’t want everybody turned on because of your hot body.” I smiled and put her clothes on her hand. I saw her face blushed. She quickly put her clothes on and run to the warehouse.
It still dark outside, the sun just about to rise. But when we arrived at the warehouse, we can saw what the problem is.
WE HAS BEEN RAIDED
Seeing what happened to her precious warehouse and herbs, Mina fainted.
“Mina…” I yelled, catch her body before she hit the ground.
Hearing me scream and seeing Mina fainted, everybody rushed toward us.
“Mina-nee… Are you alright?” Miyu calling her sister, shaking Mina’s body. Her eyes start watery.
“Calm down Miyu-chan. Your sister is alright. She just shocked.” I tried to calmed Miyu down.
“Why don’t you help your Onee-chan back to her room?” I asked her. She noded.
“Paruru, Yagi, please help Miyu.” I handed Mina’s body to them.
As they took Mina back to her room I walked to the warehouse checking the damage.
It was a total chaos. The door was opened by force. It now lay on the ground. Sacks of herbs scattered all over the place. Some of them were torned apart, spilled its content out. There were also a big hole on the side wall of the warehouse. And the roof almost collapsed.
I kneel down, checking the ground.
“Found something?” Harru asked me. She kneel beside me.
“I can’t belive the dare came this far to village,” I muttered.
“Who?”
“The Lepharists and Maus.”
“What?! No way. I thought we have sent them away far to the north. Are they working together now?”
“Well, these foot prints surely belongs to them. And I don’t know are they working together or not.” I pointed at the traces on the ground. Haruu put her eyes to the ground where I pointed. She touch the soil, took a pinch of it. She sniffed it.
“It still fresh. Less than an hour I guess.” She threw the dirt and wiped her hand.
“Less than an hour? I wonder why I don’t hear anything.”
“You were ‘busy’ with Mina I guess,” Haruu chuckled.
“Hey… What do you mean with that?” I can feel my blood rushed to my head. Making my face red.
“C’mon Yui… You know what I mean.” She smirked at me.
“I…I don’t know what are you talking about,”
“
Ohh… Yui... Please stop teasing mee… I can’t hold it anymore… Please do it now… Does that ring a bell?”
“Ho… Ho… How you… Don’t tell me you were…”
My jaw droped hearing Haruu’s words, I belive my face start getting red. I can’t finish my words. She laugh her ass hard seeing me like that.
“My room is next to Mina if you forget. Of course I can hear it. Beside, you two were too loud.” She start laughing again.
Shit… I totally forget that we were not alone in this house. I mentally facepalmed myself.
Feeling embarrassed I ran back to the house.
“Hey… Yui… Where are you going?” Haruu chased me.
“I’ll get my weapons.”
“Hey… Hey… I was joking you know. Don’t be so serious.” She blocked my way.
“Move away Haruu…” I give her my ‘deadly glare’. She shook her head.
“I… I’m sorry Yui. I don’t mean to make you angry. I… I just…” tears start filling her eyes. I sighed.
“You know, I never be able get mad on you when you put that face.”
“Really? You forgive me then?” I nodded. Wiped her tears away and smile.
“Now please let me in. I need to get my weapons now.”
“What for? You said you already forgive me?”
We looked at each other with confused face.
“Ehh?! What are you talking about? Wait… Don’t tell me that I will kill you because you making fun of me?” she nodded. Her confused face was really funny. I can’t hold myself not to laugh until I run out of breath. Watching me laugh like that Haruu getting more confuse.
“You are funny Haruu… What makes you think I will kill you because of that?”
“I don’t know. It just crossed my mind. ” she smiled foolishly.
“I want to chase those bastards who raided Mina’s warehouse. That’s why I need my weapons.” I explained.
“Ooo… I thought… Hehehehe…” Haruu laugh awkwardly.
“Now you know my reason. Will you let me in?”
Haruu moved aside. Letting me walk inside. She followed behind me.
“Umm… Yui. Can I ask you something?”
“What? You want to come with me chased those bastards?”
“No… Not that.”
“So…”
“But promise me first you wont get angry if I ask you this.”
“I promise. Now tell me what you want to know.”
“Umm… Err… I just curious, how do you two… Doing ‘that’? I mean you both are girls and girls don’t have what boys have… so how?”
“Ehh? Is that what you want to know? Well…How do I explain it…”
I saw her face start blushed.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to answer it. Just forget I have asking you this.” She try to run away from me. But I catch her before she able run.
I hold her and pushed her to the wall. I looked at her eyes.
“Do you really want to know?” she noded. I can see fear and curiosity inside her eyes. Her body start shaking. Her breath become faster
“I don’t know how to put it on words. So why don’t I just show you how?”
I leaned forward. Getting close to her. I put my fingers in her face. Run it along her jaw line to her chin. Went down to her neck, her breast, her belly, then up again to her neck. I put my thigh between her legs and rubed it. My left hand start playing on her thigh along with my thigh. While my right hand holding her shoulder. Haruu’s body start shivering. Her breath getting heavier than before.
“Are you alright?” I whispered on her left ear. Kissed her ear lobe. Haruu let out a moan as I start to lick her ear. Her eyes were closed.
“Do you feel good? Do you want me to continue?” I kept whispered at her.
“Ye… Yes… Please…”
“Are you sure~?”
“Yes please…”
I took two steps back and release her. She was shocked. Her body fell to the floor.
“What’s wrong?” she asked. I can’t stand it anymore. I burst my laugh out lout.
“HAHAHAHAHA… I’m sorry Haruu… I can’t stand tease you any longer… You should see your face when I tease you… HAHAHAHAHA…”
“YUI… YOU MEANIEEEE!!! HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO ME!!!“ Haruu yelled at me. Her face now as red as tomato. She turned her face away.
“That’s for making fun of me before.” I smirked.
“You liar… You said you forgive me. How dare you do this to me…”
“No I’m not. I do forgive you. But I don’t say I wont pay you back.” I smirked.
“Now I must go. Watch Mina and the others while I’m gone. Bye…”
I run back to my room and took my swords. When I walked to front door, Miyu called me.
“Yui-nee. Where are you going?”
“I’m gonna chase those raiders. How’s your sister?”
“She’s fine. She’s sleeping now. Yui-nee...” Miyu hugged me.
“I love you... Please be carefull”
“I love you too Miyu-chan. Now go back to your sister. And promise me you wont tell her I’m chasing the raiders. It will make her worry.” She noded.
“Good girl.” She let off her hug.
“Come home soon will you.”
“I will.”
I start running to village gate. Along the way I saw the chaos. It seems not only our place who got raided. Every house in this village was.
Those bastards…When I arrived at the gate, I saw lot of villagers already gathered there. I even saw our chief, Ulgorn and some elders among them.
“Ah Yui… I’m glad you come.” He greeted me. I nod my head to him and to other elders.
“How is your place?” One of the elders asked me
“Chaos.”
“And the girls?”
“They are alright. No one hurt. But Mina a little shocked. After seeing what happened to our warehouse.”
“Is it bad?” Chief Ulgorn asked.
“Well, not really. With a little work it will be as good as before.”
“Don’t you think you better stay with them? Just incase they come back again.” Asked another elder.
“Haruu stay with them. She’ll protect them while I’m gone. Anyway, any idea who did this?”
“Rae thinks it was The Leparists. But Dermot said he saw a bunch of Maus running away from here. I don’t know which one we should follow. But I’ve sent few scouts to tracked them. They should be back soon.” Chief Ulgorn explained.
“Do you think they working together?”
“I’m not sure, But it might be happened. Who knows what they thinking.”
“So… Which should we chase? Leparists? Maus? Or both of them?” I asked.
“Searching some action I huh?” Chief Ulgorn grined at me. I smiled back at him. He put his arm around my shoulder. Hugged me tight.
“That’s the spirit. I like it. Too bad you are a girl… If you were boy I’ll ask Rae to marry you.”
“Well Chief, you can still make them married. Yui is quite handsome for a girl. She and Rae would become perfect couple,.” One of the villager shouted.
“But I want to have grandchildren. They both are girl. If they married, they can’t have kids.” Chief Ulgorn pouted. Everyone laugh seeing it. I also laugh with them
I must admit, Chief Ulgorn quite unique. He’s huge and harsh. A bit stubborn sometimes. But he also funny and he have a good voice. Not just good, but GREAT. Anyone who never heard him singing wont belive if this mountain troll-look alike man is a GREAT SINGER. I like him. He and his wife are like my second parents to me. After my parents died several years ago.
Anyway, back to our problem. When the scouts back they told us that those Leparist and Maus really working together. And the raiders that came to aur village were only a small part of them. Around 60-100 people, and now they are heading north to Bubu village.
As we know where they headed, we decided to chase them right away before they reach their next target. We was splited into three forces. One will stright followed their track. While the other two will flank and intercept them. We will force them to run to Aegha Field and finish them there before we continued to their base-where ever it will be.
We gathered all hunters from our village – men and women – for the chase.We prepared everything we need. When all set, we marched in silent as we don’t want our prey know we’re tailing them. I move to the east side of the village along with my group, leaded by one of most experienced scout Kamiya. He lead us through the forest to the hill at the other side,
We move in scattered formation ready to ambush and surrounded our prey. We ran in fast and steady pace. During this time suddenly I noticed something. Our prey – The Leparists and Maus – acted little bit awkward. They attacked our village, destroyed and stealed our belonging but not hurting anyone. This is weird. Because those tribes are famous for their barbaric behavior. Every time they raid a village, they never leave any villagers alive. They always slaughter their target. But what happened tonight was the opposite. I can’t stop thinking what motives behind it.
Stop thinking Yui… Keep focused on the hunt.That’s right. I’m in the middle of a hunt now. I must think nothing but my prey. I must focused on them. A great hunter never get distracted by anything. When I finally get my focused back I realized that my fellow hunters were stop. I looked at Kamiya. He’s crouching behind a tree.
“What's wrong?” I whispered.
He didn’t answer, just shook his head to the left. I turned my sight to his left side. What I saw really shocked me. Around 200m from our place I saw the whole Leparist and Maus tribe on a big camp. I make a quick count. There are atleast 500-1000 of them. While we only 50.
“Is this their base?” Kamiya nodded, he called the others to come at us.
“I think we found their base.” He said. Pointing his thumb behind his back. Everyone turned their head to where he pointed.
“That’s a lot of them.” Said one of my team mate.
“Yeah… You said it. Their numbers increased very fast since last time we sent them out to the north. No wonder they dare to raid our village.” Said the other.
“How dare they build their base inside our forest.” Said Ranran. She is Kamiya’s sister and another female hunter on my group.
“Not only that. Don’t you guys think it’s weird for them to raid a village without hurting anyone in the village. It’s just not like them. I smell something fishy behind this.” I added.
“So what should we do now?” Everyone looking at Kamiya.
“I have several option. One, we move to other group and tell them about what we found here. Two, we give them little surprise attack then retreat. Three …”
“… Or we split into smaller team. One team will stay here and find out what their plans are while the others will inform others group about this thing.” I cutted Kamiya’s line.
"What do you guys think?” Kamiya asked us back.
“I agree with Yui. I do think they are planning something. I would save lot of time if we know what their plan so when we back to village we can think about how to face them.” Ranran said. Everyone nodded.
“It’s decided. So, who will stay here?”
“Me.” Ranran and I said in unison. We looked at each other. Then smile.
“It’s my idea so I will take the responsibility.”
“And I’m the smallest among you guys. It’s easier for me to sneak around.”
“Alright, who else?”
“I think just the two of us enough. Beside, we’re just gonna scouting. To find out their plan. And for scouting job the lesser the better. We can move around freely.” Ranran speak before anyone answer.
“Are you sure?” Kamiya looked at his sister then me. We nodded together.
“Well then, good luck to you girls.” He tapped our shoulder.
“And for you, you better come home safe. Or I’ll be mad at you.” He said to his little sister.
“I’ll be just fine. Now go.” RAnran said to her brother. Kamiya nodded then lead the rest of the group away.
“Now just the two of us left Yui.” She said to me
“Yeah. Just the two of us. Are you nervous?” I asked.
“Nervous? NO. Exited Yes.” She smirked.
“Me too.” I smirked back.
I looked back at the camp then to the sky. Sun already rise. It still early in the morning and that camp still silent. I only saw few patrol guard doing their job.
“So here’s the plan…”
“… We sneak in, search for the officer tent, looking for anything that looks like a plan, sneak out, meet here again then headed back to the village. Am I right?” Alma finished my words.
“Uh..Huh… That’s exactly what I’m gonna said. Sometimes I think you can read my mind. And it creep me out.” I smiled at her. She just grinned at me.
“Jeez… You flatered me Yui.”
“Let’s get moving. You take that way I take this way. Remember, we’re here to find out what they planned. Don’t start any fight unless for defend yourself.” I reminded her.
“Isn’t you the one who always started the fight Yui?” she smirked. I rolled my eyes as she sticked out her tongue.
