December's Kangaroo (AiriMayu + ChuriYuki) Chapter 1 24/11/14

December 10th. Three days before my birthday and 15 days before Christmas. Twas when a transfer student came from Australia. She was amazing…

“Hello, my name is Mayu Watanabe.” Everyone was in awe as they saw how cute she was. Then the teacher told her to introduce herself in Japanese…. So does that mean?

“Hajimemashite, minna-san, Watanabe Mayu desu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.”

“Jaa~ Let me find you a seat then...” He eyed the whole classroom before he got to the seat next to me, “Sit in the seat next to Furukawa-kun.”

I raised my hand to help her. She seemed nice.

She came over and sat in her seat, then she looked at me and smiled.

“Nice to meet you, Furukawa-kun.”

“Nice to meet you too, Watanabe-san~”

“Want some jellybeans~?” she said handing me a bag of colorful jellybeans.

“Eh? I’ll take some, I guess.” I said whilst taking the bag off her. I popped some in my mouth and it instantly tasted sweet and fruity. “Oishii~”

“Thank you.”

What is this pounding in my chest? Is this what they call, love at first sight?

When class ended, all the boys went straight to her. I heard things like: “Are you single?” or “You’re so cute!”

And I just sat shyly. I hope she isn’t dating anyone.

“Gomen, I’m not actually single at the moment.”

Eh? I wonder who…

At the same time, the roars from the boys filled the room.

Then, the door opened and someone walked in.

“Ah! Yuki!”

“Mayuyu!”

Eh? Kashiwagi-kun… Masaka…

They walked over to each other, and… They kissed.

I sat there idly as they caught up with each other. Apparently, Mayu’s been to Japan before, but had to move to Australia due to her father’s work.

They always wrote to each other, so now it was the first time in three years they saw each other face to face.

“Mayu, do you wanna go out tonight?”

“Oh, sure.” I was daydreaming before I heard a loud thud coming from the table.

“Akiro-kun~”

“Eh? Churi?”

“Wrong person.”

“Oh, Milky. What are you here for?”

“Churi wanted to see you. She wanted me to check if it was alright.”

“Yeah, it always is.”

“Ah~ Arigatou nee, Akiro-kun~”

"No problem, Miyuki." I felt like something was up with Churi…

Her real name’s Takayanagi Akane, she always prefered being called Churi, to satisfy her love for birds.

Watanabe Miyuki, on the other hand, was infamously known as ‘Warukii’ and that was with good reason. Her flirting skills were beyond par, being called a tsurishi~ Luckily for her, she has a boyfriend and she’s quite content with keeping him.

At the same time, Churi walked in, holding something.

“Eto.. Akiro-kun….”

“I wonder… What’s she’s going to say to me….”
