Sure!
The best thing to do is beat the game since you'll open more Crystarium abilities.

I'm on Chapter 7 now and well, I don't know if I'm using Sentinel effectively XD Anytime I do I go way beyond what the desired battle time should be and get 2 stars at best. I use it in conjunction with Hope's Synergist class at the start before switching to Commando/Ravager and go all out, switching to a Sentinel/Medic paradigm should our health get low. Steelguard seems pretty effective but I get the feeling that the effects of Provoke doesn't last very long and the skill that counterattacks (Vendetta?) sounds effective but doesn't really seem like it. The damage I dish out is about the same as one punch as a Commando. Unless it's more effective against single tough enemies or boss battles where they can dish out major damage per hit?

Think I'll stick with Commando/Ravager by default and then switch to Sentinel when things get hairy. Does that sound about right?

But here's a lil sketch I found of the English VO's for Lightning and Hope playing round and using Steeguard very effectively XD

STEELGUARD! :lol: :lol:

Its legible but not that bad unless you really have a crappy TV like me where the VIDEO display never goes away <_<
Don't expect me to reply to any post. I tend to not care.

Yeah. Starting off with an attacking group like Commando/Ravager/Ravager, then down to Commando/Sentinel/Medic when low, and back is great for handling most fights.
Later in the game I'd go Commando/Saboteur/Saboteur first for the early advantage, then the above 2.

Course I'd also try all the other combinations, but the first 2 sets are always in the mix.

STEELGUARD! XD

Could FFXIII Versus come to the 360 yet?

Here's hoping. I wouldn't have been able to play FFXIII if not released on the 360. And really who cares? The likely outcome is that the PS3 edition will outsell the 360 version but it doesn't matter. Both sets of fans get the game and SE makes more money. And I'm glad to hear that FFXIII sold 5.5 million copies worldwide. That's a finger up to the "fans" who prematurely called it a flop.

Love it when a plan comes together. That gatling gun attack that motorcycle has in Chp 7 is pretty lethal but switching to Sentinel and "STEELGUARD!" solves that problem. A friend of mine completed the game recently and said Fang is massively overpowered. Or in her words, "she's like Auron on steroids" :lol: That true?

Yep, I'm a believer that anything that can should be released on both systems. No point cutting out part of the market.

Are there really as many problems with the loading times and whatnot on the XBox 360 version as I've heard?

^ Honestly, it's completely fine. I'm not usually keen on details like video compression or jaggy lines and what have you, so I can't give you a technical breakdown. Loading times are honestly no better or no worse that any other current gen game in existence. At most, you wait about 20-30 secs before the game starts proper or between loading scenes. I wait a longer amount of time to start any race in Forza 3. For those like me with only a 360 the graphics is a compromise you just have to accept. Yes they aren't as good as the PS3 edition, but it still plays exactly the same way and is still a great looking game on the 360 IMO.

Well... if SE wants to make Versus XIII a multi-platform, then they should do it!
But I will love it, if they leave it on PS3 worldwide only ;_;

I don't get why everyone is so against putting it on 360 ^^;
If more people get to play it without paying a lot of money for a PS3, then why not?  ;)

I'm not too concerned about graphic quality between the 360 and PS3 - apparently everyone in the stores around here is a PS3 user because they all told me to get the PS3 version.

I'll probably end up getting the PS3 version because there are games I want to play that are on the PS3 - although most of them are also on 360...so I don't know yet.... just a matter of cost really.

Chapter 7 was surely the longest chapter yet! Though I'm kind of curious,

*SPOILERS*

I thought we were finally putting a face to the villians of the story with that silver haired dude, Yaag Rosch, but now it appears he's been written off as soon as he's entered. Maybe there's a few twists left to come but he seemed an interesting villian. Was it pure dedication and service to the Sanctum that's made him so driven or did he have a personal stake in hunting the L'Cie. I thought Snow's speech was a little odd too. Not about the speech itself per se, but the Sanctum soldiers have surely known L'Cie were humans and yet they sounded like they were expecting some monster. They've attacked me in battles for these past 7 chapters so they're bound to know! Just strikes me a little odd that now they imply that they were lied to when they've known what L'Cie were throughout the course of the game and yet still attacked them without having any crisis of conscience.

*END SPOILERS*

It's funny, a friend of mine has been stuck for weeks on the final boss of that chapter, you know the huge airship, and I was speaking to him as I fought it first time round and he was hyping it up as being really difficult. And truth be told I did die but I was focusing my attacks on the hull of the ship when it should be directed at the other parts. But second time I casted Protect on my characters (gotta love that spell) from the start, focused on each individual part and then managed to beat it. My friend was stunned, he kept telling me he couldn't believe it XD
