Nice.

And I'm interested in seeing that "cloud black" ps3 package.

YEEEES!!! I Finished FFXII!!!!!!  :w00t:

I suck at games like these. I hardly played any RPGs before and I never ever finished a FF game before. Now I completed the main story line of FFXII in about 68 hours.

The funny thing is, after Pharos I made a massive shopping list of items/armor/weapons I wanted before going to Bahamut. I started with a couple of hunts to get Faith and Bravery. After that I decided just to give it a shot and I made it the first try! I wasn't properly prepared at all and I even forgot to equip useful items, I still had golden amulets equipped for everybody

The final bosses were actually much easier than I expected. On the net I read stuff like "you'll need 30 ethers etc". I only used two regular ethers and no other items. I only had one knock-out and I didn't even used any of my back-up characters.

What a game this was. This is by far my fav FF. Now to leave this game alone for a while and pick it up later to get some more espers, side-quests, hunts and map exploring done  :)

^ Congratulations!! :w00t:

See I had a different experience, and the final boss was perhaps the hardest end boss in a FF game for me, more so than one-winged Sephiroth in VII. I had quite high-level characters though, perhaps the game adjusts the difficulty as such for the end boss?

Thanks  :) The second incarnation of Vayne was the hardest for me, because it took me quite a while to get rid of those flying swords.

I'm not sure if the game can adjust the difficulty. It seems kinda unlikely for some reason. How high were you're characters? Mine were 59 (Vaan, Basche) and 55 (Fran). All the back-ups were 31.

About 60+. What really did me in were the times he made himself invincible and of course, he dealt damage harder and faster than before so I had to keep up with healing all party members during the time. But by then I had used Quickenings quite a lot so MP was low XD

Vayne's tough, but there's marks out there to find that are much tougher. I'll give you one name: Pylraster. And be afraid.

New scenes !!! I gotta say, I wasn't even going to watch the trailer untill I saw you mentioning new scenes! And I gotta say it looks great. I'm so glad I'll be going to Japan this April, because I was already planning on buying this version of the PS3, I have to admit, more for the FFXIII demo than for AC (which I also love, but as I already had it in DVD it wasn't such a hype for me) but with this much extras it is much more interesting!

Congratulations on my part too!
And I have to agree with you, I found this son of a gun very hard... But I believe the main problem with him is the equipment we may or may not have. My cousin had all magic, the best equips and all and he was a breeze. I was level 99 but without all that, even so he was hard.
Just to make a point, I don't know if you guys heard of the 1 22 333 FFXII Challenge ? Making it short, that's the level of your party, and I've seen a video on youtube of people beating the last boss and some others in these levels, HOWEVER, they use some amazing killer strategy that make us "mortals" feel like idiots. You should check these videos out, just for fun!

And now for my part, I just came back to playing FFIV on the DS, man, what a game! It's so good I can't even believe I stopped playing it in the first place, no wonder the long time fans say this is the one that really made it all better!

Lucky you! ;_; I don't have the money to buy a JP PS3 >_<
I want this movie soo badly, it looks so great ;_; I want to see Cloud on my own HD TV! XD And not on YT or elsewhere -_-

I'd say godspeed my friend. XD

Yeah, I just assume most people here are from North America. :P

Maybe you can find a region-A blu-ray player. Players have been getting cheaper recently, and maybe by the time the movie is out they would have hit the under 200USD mark.  But then you wouldn't get to play the FFXIII demo...

Yeah, lucky you guys on the west side! XD

I hope, I can find a blu-ray player with the region-A code on it...
As you say: I couldn't play the FF XIII demo then... I HATE THAT! Why can't it be like the DVD region code?!

Done!  XD Quite a fight, I wish I came better prepared haha. I never had so many knock-outs. Especially near the ending it became very hard.

I'll leave Yiazmat to the pros though.. those 2 hours vids on YT are insane

^ WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!?!?!

I bow to your greatness good sir :mon thumb: I can only get so far as it's dying moments until it decides to double it's damage and attack speed and I just can't cope. Major kudos to you my friend.

And forget about Yiazmat. It's like the ultimate boss I've ever seen. 2hrs to kill it? You'd need ridiculous amounts of items, rare items etc to even stand a chance and while I love FFXII, I can't go that far

Thanks  XD I can't believe I made it, first try no less. The first attack by Pylraster immediately knocked out one of the guys  There was at least one party member KO most of the time, but for some reason (luck?) they were fast enough to revive a KO member before another one got KO'ed.

I had Basch equipped with a bubble belt and Excalibur, to make sure he could keep dealing damage.
Fran had a sage ring, so that she could keep healing/reviving everybody without running out of MP.
Vaan was my weakest guy. With 'save the queen' he didn't do much damage at all and was prone to get KO'ed. I gave him Asche's gear, which in my case is Deathbringer and some shield.. i think the demonshield. The shield is a massive help and after I equipped it he got KO'ed less.

Those rare items kinda suck. I was looking to get Tournesol or some other ultimate weapon, for which you need to sell items to the bazaar. Those items themselves are rare as hell too and I don't know where to find most of them. Even if I got some of these items as a reward earlier in the game, I sold them because I didn't think I'd need them for later

PS3 games are region free as far as I know, same with blu rays, it's just getting hold of them that's the hard part, lol.
Sony likes their price fixing market that they have in Europe (charging up to double for consoles and games compared to what they charge in the USA) so they took legal action against importers once and put www.lik-sang.com out of business. Now places like play-asia don't send PSP or PS3 consoles and games to europe, but american sites still will sned stuff here, but they usually charge stupid shipping fees

It's true unless it's put in deliberately by the developer and most games don't have region protection. A lot of people will be getting Yakuza 3 since it's probably going to be Japanese only.

Hmmm, I might have to order Yakuza 3 then, though there is only 1 possible place I have found that sells them for us in europe, there are probably more though.  Also, I just ordered Advent children complete with the FFXIII demo, so, just wait for that to come now too, hehe.
