Microsoft, like Sony, are selling a special edition bundle on March 9 which includes a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers (cause we know FFXIII has co-op XD), a standard copy of the game and, this is where the MS draw is, exclusive items for your avatar. Wonder if they'll be up on the Marketplace as well, so those who don't get the bundle can stil buy stand alone. Not that I would, besides I got my pet Chocobo for free :D No sexy pink Lightning design printed on the faceplate like the PS3 Special Edition has though.

My friend is convinced there's multiplayer in FFXIII but I keep telling him no. I wonder how disappointed he's gonna be XD

My bad there is something like this for the 360 edition. For those who buy the Limited edition copy with the bundle, then the HDD will be printed:

and they will have a face plate which is supposedly designed by Tetsuya Nomura himself.

Which I guess is kind of true considering he did techincally make that image, but I've seen it on press releases and magazines before so I would say it's just a straight up CTRL + C job XD The avatar items are the "Rosch outfit, Nabaat outfit and the Chocobo pet".

Giantbomb posted a spoiler free preview of the game showing off the menus, the combat, how paradigm shifts work etc. It's a good preview, very casual, positive, and it just makes me all the more excited for it. I totally did not watch the summoning sequences though. I want to see Bahumut summoned and put to good use for the first time on my TV XD

lol at being stuck gaining exp before going inside the Dome in FFX!

Any recommendations how long I should keep training?? Like minimum HP...

I really really don't think I'll be able to fill in the spheres like I planned when I started the game... I think at most they'll have 2.5 characters spheres full and none of the extra stuff that's locked behind levelblah locks... D: How can people do that? lol I've had no trouble leveling up in previous Final Fantasies, but I think the problem is not being able to travel around the world and stuff.. At least in other games if I got bored of leveling up, I could hop on an airship or sth and go do something else...

@ Tuffy
I'd really like to see your friend's face when after playing like an hour and realizing there's no coop at all hahaha!

As for the Summon, they are all amazing. The one I used less is Sahz's summons which I can't even remember the name ... And Odin I used a lot as I tend to keep Lighting as my main character but late in the game when you want some good XP or itens from Adamantoise, you'll be using Vanille's summon Hechatoncheir a lot!

Even though Bahamuth is incredible, I'd say Alexander blows every other away!

^ I know! Poor guy XD

1UP dedicated last week to FFXIII with articles on the game and it's development. Most interesting of all though is the 2hr podcast dedicated to FFXIII, where the panelists who've played or are currently playing, both the Japanese and English version discuss the game and it's pros and cons. It's a genuinely interesting discussion if you're into it and the opinion is universally positive, even the one panelist who disliked it the most had to say that it has it's moments and it's an interesting game. What I found most interesting was hearing them say that the English voiceover and translations are a very high quality. One example was the character Hope, supposedly he's an emo, angsty, crying kid, the least likeable character in the Japanese version, but in English, the actor did a great job in making the player sympathise with him and make him into one of the best characters in the game.

In other news, I made my pre-order for the Limited Edition  :twothumbs

Take a look around and you'll find that reviews are, well, all over the place for FFXIII XD I'm gonna make up my own mind when I play it. So far as I see, it sounds like it has a lot of depth with the monster hunting, the combat system is universally praised and it looks and sounds great too. Bring on Tuesday.

^ Aahh... I understand...
The guys from the Media Markt or Saturn stores gets them all too early XD

EDIT:
Forgot to say that XD
Sqaure Enix asked in their japanese Twitter account SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS the japanese fans if they want a Remake for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. They asked the question for the Remake of FF VII on March, 3rd, and two days later, they asked the same question for FF VIII... Well... SE got positive answers for both questions.

Now hopefully, they got the answers in their brain and makes the long awaited REMAKES!!!
