If you two are still getting logged out- set the minutes you stay logged in at 9999 as I haven't been signed out again since I did that!~

edit: a little while ago after spending an hourish being idle I had to sign in again... >__<

I got logged out too (Google Chrome) even though I was set to remain logged in "forever."

The future is uncertain...

I'm aware of the login problem, by the 2nd time it happened I was trying things to fix it. Actually the 3rd time it happened was caused by me so that one doesn't count. But the one that happened just recently was random which means the problem is still happening. I'm still trying to fix it.

Ok I changed a setting to try and fix the random logout issue. If you have any trouble logging on or off, clear your browser cache and cookies and stuff and try again.

Ok I don't even know if I'll be able to post this here (it's almost a bit of a test)
When trying to post in the AKB48 part of the forum it kept telling me my session had timed out and to try again!
If I get this problem again I'll clear my history and try again!

Ok, ignore that- it's gone back to working ok~

A bunch of user avatars (including my own) aren't displaying for me anymore <,<; Though when I go to modify my profile, my avatar is apparently still there (it displays properly on my Modify Profile page, but not on my profile or on my posts.

Don't know, very random little problem xD;

Ok it looks like some other SMF forums have begun to have the same problem. The logging out happens when too many attempts have been made trying to log in with your username. It seems the problem hasn't been happening to everyone. Just some people.

The problem seems to be caused by a bot that tries to log in at random with usernames from the forum. The login attempts seem to be once every 10minutes though so I don't suspect anyone will have their account broken into, but if you do suspect something please let me know.
I've installed a mod that is meant to block these bots but we'll see how it goes.

Twiss I'm not sure about the avatar problem other than try clearing your browser cache although your probably already have. The avatars are meant to resize via a javascript, I know this can sometimes be buggy.

but i go look today and dont see uploads, something wrong with the uploads ??

I have a constant problem when posting, it's like it now on this post too. None of the smilies(?) are there, nor the options for bold, underlining, italics, coloring text, have no options to do anything to a post. Have logged out, logged back in, still the same, left the site and came back, still the same, anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

Edit- It's not like it all the time, sometimes it's fine and other times it isn't.

Are you sure you're not just looking at the Quick Reply box instead of the one that you get to via the "Reply" link/"Preview" button?

Yup, think I actually have the quick reply option turned off, little while after I did that above post everything came back to normal but for a stretch every day none of the posting options will be shown.

Hope it's readable enough though there's not much to read, tried posting in a few threads, posts kept looking like this, however now it's fine, sort of clueless, most of the time it's fine but this will happen a few times a day.

Try using a different browser, if that's too difficult try going to Tools>Internet options and under the section browsing history, hit the delete button and delete all browsing history. That might not fix it but it's the only thing I can think of.

^^ See that you had asked how long the forum was down, seemed like at least 4 hours, the message error I kept getting was the server is overloaded, please try again later, sure others had the same message.
