Rena starred in the 2009 drama Haken no Oscar, in it she played an office temp worker who was fascinated with the manga Rose of Versailles, whenever something went wrong, which often happened, she would go off into a dream like state trying to put the current situation into the text of the manga...watching unsubbed so think that's what's going on.

The 24 hour Television 34 Ai wa Chikyu wo Sukuu also had a few special during it's time frame too, one of which was a movie called Ikiteru Dake de Nankurunaisa that starred Rena

along with Kanjani8’s Murakami Shingo as her husband. Rena’s character was that of a devoted and cheerful wife who continuously tries to support her husband who is suffering from various life-threatening and incurable diseases. The special drama is based on a novel by Tamamoto Eisaku of the same name, whose tragic yet encouraging plot is based on his own life.
It's also going to be coming out on DVD, you can already order it from CDjapan for 3800 yen.

Some shots of Rena from her film Tokyo Marigold, quite a slow moving movie, she was rather quiet and stoic during most of it though she was in almost every scene, still worth watching because of you-know-who.

Rena also has another movie coming out this year, Mystery of Genji millennium, fairly big cast so not sure how big her part will be, have only found one shot of her from the movie so far.
