Perfectly normal, but I don't think it's normal that the girl is having pictures taken of her to publish to the world.  I would bring up the "you wouldn't like it if it was someone in your family" arguement, but Reyfer has already stated he would happily take pictures of his nieces in bikinis to show to the world, so I guess there's no point.

I mean, how long is it going to be until we all have to see Maimai soaking wet with her legs wide open?  I would say just let the kids be kids, but I understand that they are idols, so I'll just have to get over it... which I'm not doing a great job of, since I'm in here complaining.

Just a note when in comes to Japan and photobooks: don't bother deciphering the titles. 9 out of 10 times, the titles have no connection to the contents whatsoever. They're just there to look classy; think about it, what would sell better:

I pretty much agree with Ayabie and others who say that the title says nothing about the content and that bikini pictures are obligatory in a photobook. At least it looks like UFA tries to obey some own rules because if you compare H!P kids PBs with stuff like imouto.tv etc. you can see a difference, you only need to look at the startpage.
It's everyone's right to demand bikini less PBs (I would prefer more "casual wear" too) but I think that won't really happen. Even though I remember some PBs with not so many bikini shots, but they are rare.
We don't know yet what kind of pictures will be in this PB anyway...

But of course they want to make money and therefore they choose a name that sounds interesting D:

Imho it's not really a question of Risako's pb, rather worth a discussion about photobooks and photobook in Japan of underage people in particular : O but this is not what the thread is about, so...

Of course, that is impossible. It depends on individuals. You can't really control what the buyers think of the PB. What some of us have problems about this is not what the receivers will think about it, but the intention of the senders. You might not feel sexually aroused by these PBs - and you don't have to be - but to deny all sexual contents 'hidden' in them is just too naive.


Oh, and when Risako's 3rd PB comes out, I'll ban all threads about it coz it'll be just the same anyway.

You have the right to ask for a bikini-less PB, that is true. If those pics make you uncomfortable, you must have your reasons. But to condemn a book you have yet not seen based on the fact that the word "pure" is also present in the title of a dubious magazine, that's what I don't get. I really don't care if there are bikini shots or not. It's just that automatically making the connection of the title with something wrong, is something that I would have never done (and I know the magazine). I really thought that Risako's previous PB showed you it was wrong to make this kind of assumptions (remember there was a big debate about the bikini pics on that, and it turned out to be a beautiful, innocent, playful PB). Also Momoko's PB, everybody was going around like the bikini shots were a sign of the end of the world, and that PB turned out to be absolutely beautiful in a playful, innocent way.

So at least wait until you get previews to condemn the PB?

I don't understand what you mean by "following the line of the law". But any sexual comments towards underaged girls are against the rules of this forum, either respect the rules or leave.

The point was, these kind of books are legal in a lot of countries, so why not accept that line instead of drawing own lines way below and condemning others for crossing them.
I don't mind people wanting no bikinis or even having a problem with it, I do have a problem with them judging me for  my opinions.
Sexual comments of that nature could be considered sexual harrassment and thus be against the law. I might very well be wrong.
Local rules like in the forum should be followed of course, never said you have no right to demand that.

Reyfer: To me it wasn't sexual at all. I just saw whipped cream (I think it was) and the shapes of her body is just pleasing to the eye. Nature's good craftmansship, a work of art etc. I consider many of their scene costumes more "pedo" than a bikini.
As already said, very wisely, bikinis are only bikinis, the perverted mind of the reader is the only thing that can make them anything more.

Um if you had seen PurePure Photobooks maybe you'd understand. It's girls under 15 in suggestive poses 'n shit. Every time I see the title I'm reminded of those PBs, with a title like "pure+" it can hardly be avoided. It's not our fault you don't understand what we're talking about, eh?

And bikini pics ARE completely unnecessary, these girls would make lovely PBs without a bikini in sight. But why do they take bikini pics? To serve for those pervs who want to see skin. That's just it, it really is. So I'm sorry if me not wanting my C-ute and Berryz girls' bodies exploited offends you. And it is exploitation when you release bikini pics of underaged girls in a country WELL KNOWN for their fascination with lolita stuff. She did - but only in the making of DVD, I think. I remember seeing the screencap of this, put right next to a nasty fanart made of this (you can imagine that it was EXACTLY what was Shirenu was talking about). So - seriously. oh and so no1 can deny the existance of these pics(again) here are two..so the cream isn't all over her face, it's still there and is still suggestive as ever.


that said, the PB will probably still be great and I think her being in that magazine will help her look more natural in the pictures
