^I might be remembering this wrong but I thought that I'd read a discussion about this between a few fans where they suggested that Yuko hasn't always been afraid of balloons and it might be something recent. Don't know how legit that is though or if I'm even remembering it right. In any case, I guess perhaps she was less afraid since she didn't think the balloon would pop cause she was the one who had control of it? (I'd guess that's the worst part of balloons for her).

I'm guessing it might have even been your conversation about the balloon topic that I read. Certainly Yuko doesn't look like someone terrified of balloons in that gif. Heck, I know plenty of people who'd jump more than she did if they popped a balloon like that

Sounds more like a really bad pro wrestling gimmick. She does play the part well, but being scared of balloons doesn't really bring anything to the table except a cheap laugh when a balloon is thrown at her if you ask me.

That outfit is pretty awesome, except for the jewel thing on the elbow. That just looks weird.
