I finally had the pleasure to meet the legendary hellguard89 today at the 6th gen reveal event. We were both camped out in Doll Factory since pretty early in the day, but we didn't actually find each other until the taping was over and we were all heading out.
Anyway, here are some things I remember about the reveal event pertaining to each member. HG89 can fill in if I forget something.

1.
Mayu Furuhashi - She was super bubbly and super talkative. Very confident and knew how to pander to the fans. Didn't look like a rookie in show business at all. All the 6th gen were asked to perform their specialty, and hers was dance. While she was halfway through performing her dance solo to E-Girls' "Follow Me", Ruka joined in and they dance battled for a bit.

Ruka has a dance rival now.

Mayu F. seems to be the early favorite to be the unofficial 6th gen leader, even though she's only 14. She talked the most out of everyone. Also aspired to be the fashion leader of the group, which obviously drawn out a comedic reaction from Ookawa.
2.
Mayu Sekiya - Very confident on stage. At the end of the event, the current gen members and the 6th gen members did a (under-rehearsed) special live of "One Up!!!". Mayu S. sang Maipuru's solo part. She is a good live singer, definitely a lot more developed than the 4th and 5th gen members. Kado P was serious when they said they are looking for new members who can provide instant impact. For her specialty, she did jump rope (she's really good at that too).
3.
Ruka Hashimoto - Kaede's real life younger sister. When she first walked on stage, all the current members were shocked since they already know Ruka. Current youngest member of the group, beating Reia by 2 months (poor Reia and her "youngest" member character). Kaede claims that she had no idea, which I find it hard to believe. Looks super small (like Sakura Gakuin small) next to everyone else. For her specialty, she rode a unicycle, which Kaede comically said she never saw Ruka ride before. But Ruka wasn't really good.

4.
Rena Sato - Very poised and confident. Early on it was established that she was from BOX, which started a running gag throughout the night (all the way to the Hot Stage live) where Rena says she doesn't want to lose to Serina.

Is in the same dance class as Karen at BOX. For her specialty, she did a model runway walk (seems experienced), but ended up doing some crazy contortionist things with her arms (like real contortionist stuff, not the tame stuff Yuna did for her 4th gen audition). Early favorite (IMO) to be the most popular 6th gen due to her combination of looks, talk skills and confidence.
5.
Sato Micheala Wako - There is finally a member in Idoling!!! who's name ends with -ko!

Half Brazilian (?) mixed blood. Model. Her Japanese seems better than Michelle, and her personality seems a bit ditzy like Suu-chan with a dash of Kaorun. Her specialty is a demonstration of her hand coordination as she played scissors-paper-stone with herself using both hands.

Seemed like a pretty good singer during One Up!!! as well.
Basically, all five were all very confident and poised, even Ruka. That was the biggest difference between them and say when 5th gen came on board. If I remember correctly, only Ramu was really confident out of the gate. The 6th gen members also seem a lot better trained (or experienced) compared to the 4th/5th gen when they came in. Can't wait to see them in action on TV soon!
Oh, and after TIF, hellguard and I went to the nearby food court at Diver City to have supper. And guess what, we ended up sitting next to an idol group who was also having their dinner (Venus Kids). That's TIF for you - where fans and idols walk and eat next to each other and no one makes a big deal out of it.
