Did you try lining up for the recording today? I lined up at around 14:30 (the show started at 15:10) but the entrance line got cut off at around 10 people in front of me when the recording started. I lined up for 40 minutes for nothing :(
I also missed the Idoling Unit and Tasogare Idoling live on the rooftop stage because the line for the elevator was too long.
I'm going to go camp the Doll Factory stage from 2pm tomorrow.

It's 2pm, and there is already a line with Idoling!!! fans at DF. If you see a guy inside wearing a white Zombietta t-shirt and a blue backpack, come say hi. :)

I have yet to see the 6th gen in action and neither have I watched any TIF in the past 2 days because i have an absolutely lousy internet lately. However there are a few things about the 6th gen that I greet with a smile:

1. No more fan voting. 4th gen and 5th gen was very gimmicky, will all the auditions and votings and the 6th gen felt at home with the staff not making a fuss about the coming generations and straight away announcing the chosen members.

2. The girls seems to belong to an agency already. Most probably since the intake this time around isn't as promoted as the 4th and the 5th gen, news are delivered among agencies I guess. Which is kind of good, basically they were scouted and went through the selection at their agency beforehand.

3. The great number "2". We have now a 2nd Hashimoto, 2nd member from Shokuchi (Maria being the 1st), 2nd halfie (Michelle being the 1st), 2 Mayu and 2 Sato. Pretty interesting addition.

4. Age gap. 2 girls who are 17 years old! and Mayu is turning 18 soon. 4th and 5th gen were a group of really young girls, and surprisingly they didn't keep up with the trend. Which is good.

Though I still think that this is a bit too much of a member, looking at the selection and thinking about the new producer that they have, I'll be looking forward to see how Idoling!!! will turn out in the future. I wonder if Mikera can speak English fluently? Furuhashi seems to understand english quite okay, looking at her old blog. Now this will make the next visit to Idoling!!! hand shake event more interesting  :nervous :nervous

 XD
For a girl who soon will turn 14 years old, Rukapyon is really small at 144cm  :P  Her big sister was about 10cm taller when she's at Rukapyon's age.

Mikaela should change her hairstyle  :yep:

Just reached home. Hanged with cicily for most of the day. My opinion on the new members:

31 She's loud and energetic, a type I'm not really fond of :nervous Can dance pretty well.
32 She seems the calmest out of all the new members. I think she's the one who sang Maipuru solo part during One Up. It was okay but nothing special in particular, maybe she will develop with time.
33 She's so small and cute. Her personality is the exact opposite of Kaede which should be interesting for the show. They put too much makeup on her though.
34 The members compared her to early Yurippe. Let's just hope she won't be another ninja. She did talk a lot during the show.
35 Had the air of Suu-chan and Michelle about her. I was stunned every time she opens her mouth , she didn't used honorifics at all while talking which is weird considering she lived in Japan for all her life.

Like most new members up until now, they will need time to blend into the group and find their position. The first thing they need to do in my opinion is to not overdo it. Talking is good but too much will just ruin the situation.
I would compare them to the early 2nd gen, when they still trying too hard to find their role in the group. I'm worried that the more reserved 5th gen is going to get overshadowed by the new members. I hope they can grow like 4th gen did when they entered.

My very early and unfair rank of the new members XD 33>35>31>34>32

Masuno-san wasn't here though for the recording. Only Morimoto-san. The recording should be on air today according to the staff's twitter. The exact date when the new members will appear on the show is not announced. I think they can just throw the girls straight away in the show because most of them are pros with experience in showbiz.

I think we will see them appearing on the show pretty soon since they were already wearing the current show outfit. Why go through that trouble/money and then wait until next April when they will change outfit again.. I'm looking forward to the show :P

I finally had the pleasure to meet the legendary hellguard89 today at the 6th gen reveal event. We were both camped out in Doll Factory since pretty early in the day, but we didn't actually find each other until the taping was over and we were all heading out.

Anyway, here are some things I remember about the reveal event pertaining to each member. HG89 can fill in if I forget something. :)

1. Mayu Furuhashi - She was super bubbly and super talkative. Very confident and knew how to pander to the fans. Didn't look like a rookie in show business at all. All the 6th gen were asked to perform their specialty, and hers was dance. While she was halfway through performing her dance solo to E-Girls' "Follow Me", Ruka joined in and they dance battled for a bit.  :twothumbs Ruka has a dance rival now. :) Mayu F. seems to be the early favorite to be the unofficial 6th gen leader, even though she's only 14. She talked the most out of everyone. Also aspired to be the fashion leader of the group, which obviously drawn out a comedic reaction from Ookawa.

2. Mayu Sekiya - Very confident on stage. At the end of the event, the current gen members and the 6th gen members did a (under-rehearsed) special live of "One Up!!!". Mayu S. sang Maipuru's solo part. She is a good live singer, definitely a lot more developed than the 4th and 5th gen members. Kado P was serious when they said they are looking for new members who can provide instant impact. For her specialty, she did jump rope (she's really good at that too).

3. Ruka Hashimoto - Kaede's real life younger sister. When she first walked on stage, all the current members were shocked since they already know Ruka. Current youngest member of the group, beating Reia by 2 months (poor Reia and her "youngest" member character). Kaede claims that she had no idea, which I find it hard to believe. Looks super small (like Sakura Gakuin small) next to everyone else. For her specialty, she rode a unicycle, which Kaede comically said she never saw Ruka ride before. But Ruka wasn't really good.  :nervous

4. Rena Sato - Very poised and confident. Early on it was established that she was from BOX, which started a running gag throughout the night (all the way to the Hot Stage live) where Rena says she doesn't want to lose to Serina.  :nervous Is in the same dance class as Karen at BOX. For her specialty, she did a model runway walk (seems experienced), but ended up doing some crazy contortionist things with her arms (like real contortionist stuff, not the tame stuff Yuna did for her 4th gen audition). Early favorite (IMO) to be the most popular 6th gen due to her combination of looks, talk skills and confidence.

5. Sato Micheala Wako - There is finally a member in Idoling!!! who's name ends with -ko! :) Half Brazilian (?) mixed blood. Model. Her Japanese seems better than Michelle, and her personality seems a bit ditzy like Suu-chan with a dash of Kaorun. Her specialty is a demonstration of her hand coordination as she played scissors-paper-stone with herself using both hands.  :? Seemed like a pretty good singer during One Up!!! as well.

Basically, all five were all very confident and poised, even Ruka. That was the biggest difference between them and say when 5th gen came on board. If I remember correctly, only Ramu was really confident out of the gate. The 6th gen members also seem a lot better trained (or experienced) compared to the 4th/5th gen when they came in. Can't wait to see them in action on TV soon!

Oh, and after TIF, hellguard and I went to the nearby food court at Diver City to have supper. And guess what, we ended up sitting next to an idol group who was also having their dinner (Venus Kids). That's TIF for you - where fans and idols walk and eat next to each other and no one makes a big deal out of it. :)

Already there are some huge bashing going on 2ch on new members esp 31. (no wonder...).

From what I hear 31, 34 were really active and tried to talk a lot. I hope 6th gen tries hard to imprint their characters on the show like Kikuchi did when she joined as 2nd gen.

Real Rukaede sisters should be fun to watch.

I have mixd feelings about this. Besides mini-Hashimoto, I'm not too happy about new members. For one thing, I really liked the 5 gen. Each of them is a favorite of mine and I feel they are just starting to fully develop as Idols. I think adding more members now might be bad for them and the group, because of large quantity and considering the new girls got background in show business: They might overshadow the whole 5 gen. But maybe I'm overeacting, we need to wait and see what happens in practice. Also, I'm judging them by looks only. I especially don't like the idea of a Brazilean halfie. This is not Linda III Sei  :smhid
I don't know, I just remember I got hooked instantly with the 5 gen from start. So far I don't find the new members too cute or pretty. For now, I'm mostly interested to see the W Hashimoto in action ;) I don't remember any other Idol group with sisters together.

I know every member is precious but after watching the new member introduction show, I gotta say there are way too many members in this group.

Btween 12-16 is ideal. Also, i was puzzled with selection of 35 as a member, but after watching the show i understood why they picked her. She just needs new hairdo. :(

Well, they sure are taking their sweet time to "fully develop" as idols. I see Idoling as a variety group. That's where they really shine anyway. Groups like this needs those talkative, outspoken, confident, energetic and fun girls. Girls who have this "natural born etertainer" thing going on. If 6th gen will overshadow 5th gen, then it's because 5th gen members have always been the quiet, shy and dull types (very cute though).

Also, I forgot to say, that 5 new members means somebody will need to leave soon. I´d hate to see any or all of the remaining 1st gen to leave the group now. These 3 voices are hard to replace. Anyway sooner or later will happen and will hurt no matter when...  :(

I first thought 3-6-9 graduating at the same time would be really good but, that would seriously weaken the vocal part of the group.

I would think Endo and Kikuchi would be the first ones to graduate before anyone else. (Maybe Ruka like Nomoto if she cannot keep her weight down;;)

First impression after watching the introduction show :

#31 : Talks too much. Kind of a crawler. But I guess that means she (badly) wanna do well.

#32 : Very natural. She likes singing. Wanna see more of her.

#33 : Mini Kaepyon. Already love her.

#34 : Very cute. It seems to me that she's an ambitious girl.

#35 : Kinda awkward. Very interesting girl.

Now I want to see them in interaction with Masuno-san.
