I'm glad you're happy. They are definitely growing on me. Thanks! It was my first time writing them so I was a bit nervous. So it's great that it turned out ok. The nickname/abbreviation is fine. Ok, I've read it before but...it's just not as mainstream. Hopefully, it will become soon!

Like the Butterflies Fujimoto Miki walked leisurely through Yoyogi Park, enjoying the sunshine. She stretched her arms over her head, her purple satin tank top rippling in the light breeze. She strolled around, smiling at a little kid being pulled around by a puppy. Finally, she arrived at a grassy area where a picnic was waiting for her, along with a certain someone.
“Mou~, you’re late!”, Ishikawa Rika frowned as Miki removed her shoes and joined her on the plaid blanket. “I’m sorry”, the younger soloist grinned, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. “No, you’re not”, the girly V-U-Den leader replied, a tiny smile playing on her rosy lips. “I’m a little sorry”, Miki fake-pouted. They began to laugh and blush slightly. They used to dislike each other but now they were an item, finding that they had more in common than first thought. “Look! A butterfly!”, squealed Rika, pointing at the blue winged creature, floating about them. “It’s a gorgeous color”, Miki agreed, watching it dart up and down. They sat in silence for a few seconds, in awe. But a certain woman’s stomach interrupted the moment. She blushed and her companion giggled.
Rika opened the bag she brought and removed a huge bento spread. “Whoa, you made all this?”, Miki asked, shocked at the sheer amount of food. “Yup, I made it just for you”, she answered, as she opened all the containers and handed her girlfriend a pair of chopsticks. “Itadakimasu~”, they chorused and dug in. “Everything is so good!”, Miki cheered, “Thanks for going through all this trouble.” Rika simply nodded and beamed at the sight of her happy companion.
After they ate, the pair decided to lay down and enjoy the nice weather. Miki laid down on the blanket, using a smaller bag as a pillow. She beckoned Rika into her arms, where the charming girl cuddled into her body. Soaking up the warmth, they let the sun’s rays wash over them. “The butterfly is back!”, Rika suddenly shouted, “And there’s another one with it.” Sure enough, the blue butterfly returned, this time with a mate. They danced happily in the sky. “They look so happy”, Rika commented dreamily. “Like us, baby”, Miki said, “Happy alone but even better together” The older girl’s heart melted at the comment and she scooted up to kiss her girlfriend.
