Lol. i'm having a blast with this fucking game. Still impossible to aim and shit but wtf. It's hilarious! :D

Here's some caps of my adventures today, with meow and limit:

Me and meow doing are cocky walk. All laid back and shit.

Trying to make a good group shot (failed). We did the poses and everything.

Making sure if meow has a penis or not. And again. And i tried to see what's in limits pants. I think i'm lucky that i kinda missed. Who knows what hides there. :O

At the end of the day we did good. Killed some monztars and leveled and shit.

I'm pretty sure all 3 live in different time zones(though I don't know where limit is from)

It all depends if you care about sleep I think.

Damnit Sev, he wouldn't stop touching me!

Heh I don't know where the other two are from, but it seems to work out so far.

But yea it was really fun [dying all the time] and we gained a few levels through some old fashioned grinding (looks at meow... :on thumbb: )

So I'm having massive troubles just getting the game to start. Installation runs fine, and I have no problems after putting in the patch.

However, when I run the game and it starts updating, I get errors like,

and then my scanner thinks shpsobb.exe is a virus,

Can anyone help? Anyone else having the same problem?

 I had the same virus problem, change to avgfree. :P And then re-install.
If you still get problems you might want to dl the installer again, as it might be corrupted or something.

My problem is that the programs shortcut won't open the game, I click it and it has the "updating online.exe" thing and when it disappears nothing happens, I have to go in my program files if I want to open the game. Does anyone else experience that problem?

Ah, so it is the scanner preventing it, I see.

I have that problem with the shortcuts too, actually. I had to go to the game's folder to run it. Yours does launch, though, right?

Yeah, I have to manually open it from the folder- using online.exe . It launches though - no problems other than that.

Okay, I switched back to avgfree.  I'm ran online.exe from the program folder, and the game updated fine. It gets to the splash screen thing, I still can't get the game to launch. When I click 'start', the window closes, and nothing happens. If I try it again, I get the "updating file shpsobb.exe", but it gives me an error saying "cannot create file shpsobb.exe".

Megaupload off the site.

I looked through the forum and found a different installer from the one that's on Megaupload. I'll try reinstalling it. Hopefully it'll work.

Edit:
Didn't work. Still getting the same problems.

I got this working just a few hours ago. The problem I had was different from boykun's, though.

So, is anyone on right now?

boykun: it sounds like you have a problem connecting to the server? cause that's the file the client updates and downloads each time i start the launcher... do you have a firewall turned on?

Ayabie: best way to see if anyone is on now is to go to the iirc chat. Usually people tag their nicks, like meow|PSO, sev|PSO, ten|PSO, etc...

Lol meow. I've never ever changed my nick to Sev|PSO. But since you asked the other day, i will do that hence on, for you.

To clarify it: Yes, for some reason you get the map_data error message if you don't start from one of the executables in the folder. I also noticed the game adds shortcuts and yet an executable file when you launch it. :? Removing this did not give a satisfying result.

Anyone playing this with a controller pad? Obviously SEGA didn't even bother remaking the controls in their port of the game, and it's still making me go crazy.

* Sev turns on meow's firewall
HOT!!!!

tenkei: meow never told me the game don't save its own screenshot but you just take a print screen. So all the pics I took that day are long lost. :( Remember that people. If you take a screenshot, make sure you paste it in your favorite image editor (my case mspaint) before taking another. lol.

Finally played it for a bit.

Made a warrior guy.

Got to lvl 5 but everything got really hard and I kept dying.

And to fix the shortcut problem, just make a new shortcut to "online.exe" Thought it wouldn't work cause the old one was a shortcut to the same file, but it did.
