Berryz, C-ute & Eggs' new tv show on TV Tokyo;

http://mycasty.jp/ssm/html/2008-01/01-13-912371.html

The source is a blog, yes. But it has to be reliable enough so that musumenavi put it up their page.

Starts in Spring, btw.
Quoting myself from the Gossip thread.

Question is though, if/when this new show starts, does it mean the end of HM@?

...

No more JunLin?

Guys, I apologize, I know little to NO Japanese... so I'm a little clueless as to what this is about (aside from the fact there's going to be a new Berryz/C-ute show ). Can someone pretty please explain?

The Berryz/C-ute show will premiere in April. However the timeslot has not been announced yet and there is no evidence that it will replace Haromoni@. It could replace Uta Doki! in TV Tokyo's late-night H!P timeslot for all I know.

Or it might air either before or after Haromoni@.

I couldn't sleep so I did a rough translation.

Quote from: J-CAST News
The end of "MoMusu", with TV ratings hitting 0.8%
2008/1/18

The idol unit Morning Musume's only TV show "Haromoni@" (TV Tokyo) where they're regulars have at last broken the 1% viewer rating mark. Before that there was "Superidols" Abe Natsumi and Goto Maki among others in the roster proceeding struttingly, but that is now history. Even though as a daytime Sunday program, it is now shockingly 0%. Have MoMusu's popularity vanished already?

[I don't know any of their names.]

The decline of Morning Musume's popularity being over the news is nothing new as of lately. Weekly Shinchou (Issue from 2007.05.17) wrote: Viewer ratings of 1% and "So long, Morning Musume" after 10 years. The decline in viewers of their TV program, concert tickets being sold as sacrifice sales on internet auctions, among things was featured in the article.

The former popular member Goto Maki graduated in September 2002, and after that Abe Natsumi, Kago Ai among others. The popular ones graduated one after another.

On June 2007, the leader at the time Fujimoto Miki, was featured in a scandal regarding her "passionate love" with comedian Shouji Tomoharu. Fujimoto resigned as a leader, and also from MoMusu.

Thereafter, MoMusu was composed by Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa, Kamei Eri, Michishige Sayumi, Tanaka Reina and Kusumi Koharu. Then there was Mitsui Aika and the overseas students from China, Junjun and Linlin, further complicating the formation. Previously people would say "I can name all of them", but as for now people saying "I don't know any of their names" is increasing.

[Breaking off 1% is a low number]

Morning Musume's only regular 30 minute TV program, Haromoni@, is broadcasted early Sundays 12:20 on TV Tokyo. The show started in April 2007, but the fact that the predecessor Hello! Morning already had ratings of 2-3%, is why the current show got cut to 30 minutes.

The official Haromoni@ website mentions the program being "broadcasted with great feedback", but on the contrary the ratings are actually still hanging low. With that said, the episode of Haromoni@ broadcasted on 2008.01.13 had a viewer rating of 0.8%.

TV Tokyo's PR manager's comment to J-CAST News:

"As far as I know, breaking the 1.00 digit is by far the lowest broadcast yet."

With their regular program breaking off the 1% mark, this might be a sign of MoMusu's idol status breaking its "best if beaten by" date...

^ oh, man!  we all knew that Morning Musume isn't as popular as they were back then but man, this hurts....

but the 0.8% ratings is the tv ratings rite?  but i think alot more people, like us, are viewing it online and such, so them having "great feedback" is probably true.  and i dunno about japan, but MoMusu still have a good fanbase outside of japan, especially on the internet.
btw, what was H!M/HM@ highest ratings?  or average ratings?

reading that comment "so long, morning musume, after 10 years"  and stuff like them declining in popularity is really saddening.  I love MoMusu, then and now.  i love the girls and want them to become stronger, better, than ever before.  Grow as time passes.  i never want to see them down, and talked bad about.

I don't want MoMusu to end, period.

I'm really sad about HM@  :(
I didn't watch it (I liked the old haromoni better), but still, 0.8% of ratings is too low
And I'm really happy about the berryz/c-ute show! It's bad that the senpais (morning musume) lost their show, but it's good that the "kids" are getting one. I hope they do better and we have something like the old haromoni back...

was it really confirmed that it's been cancelled? Haromoni@, that is.

also although i would also agree that HM@ is not as great as H!M, i believe it's due to the management and format of the show.  I don't think MoMusu is @ fault.  if u want to blame someone, then UFA is the one to blame.  The girls are entertaining and lovely to watch.  it's just that the idiots of UFA can't seem to get their heads out of their a** to promote the girls, MoMusu and all the overlooked members of H!P, better.  i dunno if Tsunku is to blame or not so...
