I had heard of KARA a couple years ago on a different board (around when "Break It" was released) but other than, "Hey, they're cute" I didn't give them  much thought.  (For about 5 days, I could identify each member in pictures, but I've already forgotten who is who again!)
Recently, there's a big new push of Korean groups in Japan... like, Tower Records has special displays set up and such.  Yesterday, on a whim, seeing one of those displays, I picked up "Revolution."
I like it well enough.  I find some of their voices distractingly similar to BoAs, but it could just be that my ear for Korean is SO BAD, that they all sound the same to me?  But more than anything, listening to the songs, I want to be watching music videos.  Just hearing the dance music makes me want to watch some badass Korean overtrained dancers!

I guess it's time to start studying up on who is who again...

If AKB48 going against KARA in "Asian Song Festival 2010" can generate sales and publicity for both groups, I am all for it. The world needs and demands more idol groups from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and (whichever country that I left out- please accept my apologies)....What if they gave a war and a pop music video showed up instead?
