So I attended the 1st of the 1st karasia concert on the 18th, I felt very honoured being there for their first concert. Especially the fact me and my friends Seats were in the press area. Only my friend and I were the ONLY ones in the R37 section with press, around us were press with REALLY big ass cameras that were bigger than peoples heads. So i wasn't too shy in pulling out my Olympus xz-1 out to snap a few pics since i was in the Press area. While jotting down notes on my ipad, to look all press(man) like.
I'm not really good at writing or putting my thoughts into words but i'll try my best, since I love this forum. As some of you know I live in South Korea, and got tickets, the areana as most concerts in Korea was held at the Olympic Park. Where me and EBC attended the SNSD concert last....... year sometime (think Oct or something). Soo the pictures you'll see of the concert hall will be familiar with the SNSD concert before.
Similar right? with the surprise guest of
MinHoo and... Jonghyun (i think), Minho was the only 1 i could identify but when Shinee entered LOTS of flashes and press surrounded them. It wasn't a very good picture of him, he was blocked by the guy in black in the middle as you can see, Min Ho was in brown and had shades on. Everyone pulled out their cameras and flashed pics of them. Me and my friend said..... "must suck to be famous, you cant really enjoy things privately. The funny thing is they were sitting in the VIP 8 seats (map previous post). I read on the Allkpop the B2st guy was there, but I never heard or saw a Ruckus when he entered the hall, soo no pic. The atmosphere was great the concert was t 6pm btu started around 6.20pm, this concert had a different feel to the snsd concert one. It felt less organised and the staff didnt really seem to be co-ordinated, not everyone was sat down and thats probally why the concert started late. But there was 1 factor in which it worked towards my favour, the NO taking pictures were not really that strict. In the SNSD concert no kind of pictures were allowed and people were forced to delete them, my friends who attended the YG concert said people were kciked out. In this concert the staff kindly said, no no please dont take pictures... while people were clearly taking pictures and recording hahahaha.
The programe i'll try my best to write it to the best of my knowledge. Then i'll comment further.
The first perforamnce was their newest song, Step it up. It was a great opener Everyone was estastic since it was an great opening song to the concert. The followed by some song that had the lyrics shalallalallala in it.... (told u I was bad).
Forgot to mention my camera isn't a zoom in lens soo tahts why the pictures are far away~
nx after 3 songs for the introduction, there were solo performances byt he members, Starting with seniority in Korean Culture.
Gyrui started with a Tango Piece, with a red dress and with a dance partner. The song I had never heard before, but the crowd were cheering and waving their sticks.
next up was ofcourse Han Seung Yeon, this song had a childrens theme to it. I think since she did alot of Hamtoro stuff she must of sang other sound tracks to childrens songs. She dressed in a doll like dress, pulling a kids cart along with 3 people in animal costumes following her. She then went around the arena at intervals throwing plushies to the crowd from the cart. I had binoulars soo i could identify some of them, snoopy, miffy, mickey, Garfield, you know the classics.
Then a classic Nicoles MJ take on beat it, with MJ styled shoes.
Goo Hara was next~~~~~~ This song i didnt know, but it there was an Angel like theme, she was on the main stage she was elavated by the platform and the big screen in the back alligned Angel wings to her position. it was
! She looked beautiful aswell in her dress.
By now some of you think yeah, our beloved Ji Young is next, but nooo it was a group part... a video came up, with a theme of spy's, black and white themed video wtih men in black suits and sunglasses??? can you guess which song was coming up????? yes
LupinThen after this performance it quickly synced out to another video (too many videos if you ask me), then it was Ji Youngs solo, she was in a casual red dress and a denin jacket, on the main stage a guitarist came on stage and played an guitar versino of wanna and she sang along beautifully. There was another guitar put on middle stage and Jiyoung picked upt he guitar and played a piece she had practiced for this concert. she was good and it was great as she sang along with it.
Han Seung Yeon solo ~ song i dont know
Goo hara ~ short NAT King Cole L.O.V.E... for abou 30seconds then she danced in a frilly dress with someone (tango).
Nicole Solo ~ no idea on the song again
Gyuri ~ as you know she's in the musical adaption of the movie 300 hundred pound beauty and she sang the Maria song from it.
This was the best part of the Concert ~ they Sang Norazo's Superman song but 'Supergirl' and they were all dressed up in superwoman outfits! it was very very cute and sang greatly. Incase you dont knwo the song with awesome dance included, youtube link belowLonely was sang which sounded great live, its 1 of the best slow songs that i really like playing on my mp3 player. They then sang a few of their Japanese singles, in japanese. There were alot of Japanese fans there, as the website where u bought tickets had a Japanese section and special seller for overseas.
A few more song, which ended with Honey. they then were wearing white dresses like wedding like dresses but... with the front half of a VERY short skirt i might add.
Here's a poor picture of Goo hara~~ in her dress, this is were they spent alot of time talking to the audience and when they started crying. As they were touched to have their first concert and were worried for the cold temperatures, and yes it was Freezingggg -6.3c with snow the previous day.
They changed while a cute video was playing and they came on stage to MISTERRRRR~~~ where everyone chanted along toooo! Finally they went off and everyone Encored for the next part. They came out for the finale (pics below)
They said goodbye to everyone ! it was a great concert and wonderful! They girls looked like they had alot of fun and they expressed themselves a lot with additional cute dance moves and alot of free use of the hall. You could sense it was the real them, and they were really estastic to be having their concert. Similar to the SNSD concert my favourite member changed after the concert, before it was Yoona and moved to Seo Hyun. My previous favourite in kara was Goo Hara and now it has changed to Kang Ji Young, she's very very adorable when you see her live. Dont get me wrong, they all were just that i was charmed

At the end fo the concert offical goods were on sale ~~~ I got photo cards and paper... folder thing....
