Getting Mocchi away from old Team K is the best thing that could have happened to her. She was too reliant on Sayaka, Sae and Yuko. Now that she's in a new team, in a new unit and surrounded by other people, we saw Mocchi blossom into a mature woman. She's become much more confident. She's a true individual now with her own trademark bits, such as being a wrestling fan and having an ear fetish.

I got to see Mocchi in Paris, which left me with mixed feelings at the time. She was great on stage, but a bit invisible during the signing session. Even so, she managed to stay on my radar and I consider her one of my favorites. It's been three years and I wish I could see her again. I'm sure she'll make a stronger impression off stage these days, while still being great on stage.

I still remember seeing Mocchi for the first time at Anime Expo. Seeing them only on TV, DVD, and paper really can make them seem larger than life, almost too good to be true. Mocchi, even in person, still seemed that way. Radiantly beautiful. I really couldn't believe how hot she was. I also agree that the move to Team A was a good one for her. It let her branch out for sure. I really like her "genuine" vibe, like when that wrestler dude surprised her on AKBINGO. She was so happy that he acknowledged her and it was so sweet getting to watch her meet him and attend that wrestling event. Sometimes it's good to know that not everything about these idols is a made-up shtick. Sadly she seems to be one of the many girls stuck in the middle of AKB48, but I'm glad she's involved with the super cool French Kiss unit and we get to see her around from time to time.

Da Mocch, mang. Mocchi is a weird chick, man. She cracks me up with all her shit, though. Right now she's ranked 14th on my list, which is a good solid spot for her. She makes me laugh when she's on tv and find her really cute. At AX she was really nice to the fans and I caught her and Sayaka being dorks and doing sentai poses at their table when there was no one in the room.
