Even though Amina isn't one of the main faces of AKB48, I do feel she's an important member. She's the cheese that holds the pizza together (Married with Children reference). She seems like a very caring person and a good friend to a lot of the girls. If it weren't for Amina, Mocchi might have quit AKB48. She's also very considerate of her kouhai, as shown in AKBingo when she ate Miyu's snake for her. The big sister type.
I initially liked Amina because she reminded me of Kusumi Koharu. She had a similar hair style and of course the massive eyes. Amina's appearance has changed a lot throughout the years, for better and for worse. She looked super fit around mid 2009, which is probably my favorite Amina era.
I also dig her vocals. A song like Confession needs Amina. Her high pitch overpowers everything and it usually adds a killer harmony. This is also the case in Tsundere, Candy and many other songs.
I'm not sure she wants to do in the future. I don't think she'll go the gravure/modeling route because it's been many years before she exposed bits of herself. Speaking of which, I'm surprised she did Dump Show... maybe covering herself up in the beginning wasn't her choice after all, or maybe she just gained confidence. Either way, I'm not complaining. A singing career may be difficult too. Even though she adds a nice flavor to a song, I think she lacks the range to make a proper solo song. I hope she can prove me wrong.
In sum, Amina's one of the silent forces in AKB48, who gets her moment in the spotlight every now and then. I like her a lot, and I hope she keeps doing what she does.
