Miichan's cool and all, but I never really became a big fan. She has "Noro Kayo" syndrome, meaning she tries too hard to be fresh and entertaining. As a result she often comes across forced and desperate. Examples include: wanting to re-do an MC (clueless 7 game on AKBingo), long ass reaction when eating the sudden death hamburger in front of the kks (Shukan), etc.

It's what I've been stating in a couple threads now... you gotta find a way to keep your face out there. Miichan succeeds in doing that, I'm just not digging the way she does it. She IS clever and she does have plenty of funny remarks, so I think it's more a matter of finding a better balance. I think the "Miichan's Room" episodes on Shukan were a good way for her to practice that. I hope she can follow her dream and get a career in variety after AKB48.

SomethingWild, funnily enough, what you said, that's actually part of the reason why I love Miichan so much

She always kinda seems like she's really trying to be in the spotlight, really trying to be whatever is necessary to stand out at any particular moment. And I can't get enough of that

She's quite loud too and, though I love quiet and gentle idols, I do also love the really loud ones too. The Shukan swimming battle is one of the stand out Miichan events for me. The way she seemed to just unofficially take on the position of head cheerleader for her team and kept trying to get everyone else to make a ton of noise. I've always seen her and Takamina as the 2 in AKB who are small but really pack a powerful punch

There was a time where I wasn't into Miichan at all. Then, I started to turn around. I can even show you the picture that started the turnaround.

There was a meme going around that Miichan looked like Gachapin. The fact that she was able to laugh at herself about it made me start to wonder if I had jumped the gun on her. As I watched and learned more about her, I concluded that I most certainly had. Yes, she sometimes lays her shtick on very thick, but I find it kind of endearing that she cares so much about being entertaining. And entertaining, she is. She's had epic moments on every single AKB48 TV program, adds quite a bit of fun to MC's, and on top of all that actually performs very well. She's 33.33~% of the reason why No Sleeves is such a great subunit, 70% of why Gyakuten Oujisama is such a fun unit song in K6, and 7% of why the AKB TV programs are so fun to watch. Nowadays she's definitely one of my favorite AKB48 TV personalities. She's become a pro at that medium.

Oh, and it doesn't hurt that she's gotten pretty damn sexy, too.
