In a way, Nakayan's situation is similar to Tanamin's. Same agency, both geeks, both look good.

However, I think Nakayan has managed to get a good thing going for her. She got the seiyuu gig she always wanted and I'm sure she'll give it her all. If she were to graduate AKB48, I think she'll be able to stay in the seiyuu circuit with the occasional musical role on the side. She showed she is a true individual. I think she can upstage most of the other girls if she truly wanted to be a top idol, but I think she's ok with the current situation.

If this will indeed happen, it will probably mean I will lose sight of Nakayan in the end. This is sad, because I quite like her. On the other hand, I'll be happy because I know she'll be living her dream. Go kick some ass Nakayan!

Nakayan is easily my favorite underdog. She's pretty much tied with Matsushita Yui for my favorite geeky girl. In the looks department, I think she's the ultimate nerdy babe. Cute face, really nice body, and her occasional meganekko is totally hot. She also has a really fun personality to her. I like how she's always quick to laugh and smile. Her interest in seiyuu work almost seemed like a given to me. Her voice is perfect for it. I'm really happy she has landed a role in the upcoming AKB anime series. I really hope this series is genuinely good and takes off so that she can have a great start on the seiyuu resume. Her future is obviously there, and it's past time for her to begin that journey. I'll be following her always.

While she doesn't get to do too terribly much, I still enjoy her in the AKB realm. I'll never forget her performance in B1's Kinjirareta futari with Yukirin. It was an awesome remake. Her 2010 birthday show is the most memorable LoD I've ever watched, and she is terrific on stage. I do hope she will stay with AKB48 for a bit longer, but I know it's only a matter of time before she moves on to pursue her true goals. I'll be sad when that happens, but more power to this awesome, awesome girl.
