I’m officially a YUI-fanboy:
I’ve been listening to From Me To You a lot lately and it’s slowly becoming my all-time favorite jpop album. That album just keeps getting better and better after every listen. Anyways as much as I love From Me To You my current favorite song is Rolling Star. Rolling Star is probably my favorite single overall because even the b-side (Hot Winter Music) is fucking awesome. I gotta admit that the Rolling Star PV ain’t that good. That whole rock star image doesn’t really fit YUI at all. CHE.R.RY’s my 2nd favorite song at the moment and the PV is pretty damn good too. It’s good to see that the label is actually putting some money into YUI’s PVs. Anyways YUI is fucking awesome and definitely my favorite jpop singer
By the way, when is her new album coming out?
i've said it before to people
yui is just different from other performers, when she's up there singing, its like she's one of us, just a normal person singing her heart out, she has the aura of acommon street singer, but she's no ordinary one mind you. like i don't know this is just my opinion but alot of j-singers have this like aura (sort of) of like superiority, like they're on a totally different fung in the ladder of life, but yui it seems she's on the same level so it's easier to connect with her and for her to get in touch with her audience which i just find mind boggling and amazing
Word. YUI doesn’t really seem like a rock star at all and I agree that it’s way easier to relate to her than singers like Koda Kumi or Hamasaki. That’s the reason why I didn’t like Rolling Star PV that much cause they tried to make YUI look like some big ass rock star. Anyways YUI seems to really love music and I don’t think she cares about fame and fortune that much. Like she’s happy as long as she gets to perform her songs, no matter how big (or small) the audience is. I was planning to go see her live but the spring tour tickets are already sold out
