During the July afternoon,
I had met you
In the park
On the bench
I felt my heart skip a beat

And landed in your lap
Embarrassed,
You kept me looking at you
That first time we kissed
It was the start

Every step was a path created
Then, you let go
Feeling alone
I watched as the path winded
You came running after me

Feeling your touch again
I could color this road
To remember that path we took
Why look back?
We are the end.

Seeing you in the distance
I hold my heart
The dreams of us
Still, will you accept it?

A week passes by,
You recognize me
With a wave and a smile
Yet I hold my letter

The month sails by
You start to know me
Like the woman I am
I hold myself within my shell

The season changes to summer
Off to a trip
Friends invite us
But afraid to show my body

As it approaches to fall,
The chill runs in my body
Is it guilt?
Or your caring touch?

Winter comes with snow
I hide in my shell
While you congratulate me
For being a good friend

As the final months arrives,
I finally slip the letter in
Forgetting what I had wrote
My phone vibrated.

“Kamei-san,
You were always welcome to ask
However, I feel your pain
If it is okay, I'll accept you heart”

Couldn't decide between hiding
Or running toward her
But in my mind,
I could leave my heart to her

Laying there in bed
Waiting for her to come back
Fights came natural
Words fly like arrows
Each hitting their targets

With caution, I held back
The final arrow pierced through the skin
Into my heart
A final blow to our kinship

You pulled it out
Like it wasn't your fault
Bleeding onto the floor
My tears

I have gone against you
I deserved that
But,
I knew you were right
Can you not believe me?

Do I cry fake tears?
Does my heart not break?
Is it the facade that makes you hate me?
Questions I ask,
You dare not answer

As I wait here,
You will come back
Hopefully with an answer
And without an apology

Nervously I held your hand
The sweltering summer day
By the beach
By invitation

I held my heart for the first time
As a present,
You cherished the gift
Those years ago

We grew older
And you secretly gave something wrapped
Newspaper and tape
And it was my love for you

I didn't know what to say
Until I turned it over

"The sound of the ocean
soothes my restless soul
The sound of the ocean
rocks me all night long"

Very few words swayed my heart
Although a gift before your birthday
I never wanted to feel embarrassed
But when it comes
I will have something ready

Hanging onto the cloud
Princess looks down at the hard ground
In an instant,
A human crosses the path
She jumps down
Lands on her
All immortality values fail her
She looks at the fallen human
And resurrects her
Looking into her gentle eyes
The princess carries her to the house
A familiar tune enters the room
Moving her hair from her forehead
And pecks her there
Moving down to her lips
Her eyes open up
Witnessing a near-death experience
She pops up and pushes her off
The princess tries to entrance her but fails
With all her power gone,
The princess retracts into a ball
Tears flowing out
Hitting the ground like raindrops
The fallen girl gave pity
Trying to understand the problem
She finally stares at her
It was an incredible feeling
She picks her up
And takes her around
Tasting the mortal foods
Until the princess stopped her
“Why do you treat Ai, this way?”
“I want to show you the area”
Sort of the response, she wanted
The princess looked up and saw a beam of light
The fallen girl turned and saw her elevated toward the sky
“Thank you, mortal, you have given me hope.”
Within a moment, life flashed before her eyes
And woke up with a crowd around her
“Are you okay?”
“I'm fine, I must have slipped.”
She got up and found an amulet
She walked to the nearest shrine
And prayed, then came walking up a woman
Similar to her dream
“Excuse me, would you mind asking what your name is?”
“Takahashi Ai, you?”
“Niigaki Risa.  I have seen you before.”
Before a reply, the younger woman hugged her.
“Thank you!”

Waiting through the rain
I sat in that same place
Even if you weren't coming
I knew you find me here
Like a loyal puppy
With my tongue hanging out
My clothing soaked with tears
It was painful from our last talk
You were angered by my mistake
One hundred apologies
Each one weighed more than the last
Until you walked away
And I sit here
Waiting
Just moments away from your return
I wait here
With one hundred more
When will you come back?

The usual noisy room
Was silenced with an announcement
Focused at the monitor
A familiar face appeared
"You are here because I have girls to follow your trail"
His voice echoing in the room
Every person anxious
When they appeared
Joyous, nervous, and excited
The four leading the way
Stood up to greet each of them
With the support
It was only time
Where the top was near
The base was only a start
Each step was another opportunity
To fight each barrier
They will battle
With their short skirts

Looking at the sun setting
Westward resemble an orange sky
Different from the light hue of the start of the day
The duo compared themselves
To the limitations of the day
For the longest day,
They started to seek the rise
As it reached the peak,
Then, a decent naturally with age
Time had been their enemy
Those long talks
Made them closer
Learning from their seniors,
It was the natural process
Communicating their fears
Their dreams
Their livelihood in the group
They spent all that time
Remembering what had happened
Walking toward the tree
That scarred their names
It grew strong
Knowing that it will never fade with time
That they finally understood
Time was the enemy but
It was worth the fight til the end

We jump into the ocean

We should should have been closer
In the past
But we are now one

And you curl back under the blanket

And paw me on the nose
Shy yet playful

When I tickle your stomach,
You smile
Makes me warm

I never believed that I fell in love
Everything you do makes me comfortable
Like growing from the small kitty
Your peach nose and beady eyes
It becomes matured to an adult
And everything develops
Skills, Temperament, and Attitude
In the end,
I wish time would stop
So we can be together
