Edit: Well, the stream just ended. Complete waste of time in terms of show value, but it's great seeing her back again, although still under unknown conditions. There's a rumor that she's now with the Blue Rose agency which seems better than nothing.

I feel like they're trying to make Miyake the new Koizumi; I'm not too crazy on the idea.
Koizumi was known for her bitchiness, but she was also one of the best singers in the group so she could get away with it.

I'd have to disagree on that. I'd say Itou (even Suu-chan) and Zumi have more similarities than Miyake and Zumi. Miyake doesn't actually speak her mind, she just has a sharp tongue.

First encounter with Rumi: Rumi is my all-time favorite Idoling!!! member (of all time!) Unfortunately during her reign of terror I was too busy following AKB and missed out on most of her Koizuming antics.
My favorite thing(s) about Rumi: I love how fast she talks... her brain operates 500 miles a second and it always seems like the person she is talking to is just a pawn in her world. There is no other idol like Rumi - beauty, talent, and she had multiple personalities that were all interesting. It's a travesty that she didn't conquer the idol world.
A memorable performance:
Moment(s) that made me laugh: There's too many moments. Everything she does is hilarious, whether intended or not.
Moment(s) that surprised me: Her sudden graduation. I know she was never a perfect fit in the Idoling system, but I was surprised she graduated without a solid post-Idoling plan.
Favorite solo line in a song:
Something I would say to her at a handshake event: Thank you for not murdering Serina and Ami.

First encounter with Rumi: hmm, since I've seen first gen only after watching Idoling for half a year, I think it must have been in one of the subtitled episodes. But loved her after watching season 1-3.
My favorite thing(s) about Rumi: might sound strange: her smile  :) and she truly is a little princess and has a great voice :) She may not be in my top 5, but I really like her, she's lovely :) Come to think of it, she would have been great singing in the harmony of 'eve'.
A memorable performance: omoi no uta during 3rd live, her graduation. c
Moment(s) that made me laugh: too many to mention, when she's talking fast, when she's getting airheaded
Moment(s) that surprised me: the video below
Favorite solo line in a song: Omoi no Uta
Something I would say to her at a handshake event: Please come back, princess!

First encounter with Rumi: Late 2007.
My favorite thing(s) about Rumi: Anything she does ends in hilarity. I have yet to encounter a wittier idol than Zumi.
A memorable performance: Koigokoro from her graduation live.
Moment(s) that made me laugh: There's just too much mention, but the first thing that popped to mind was when she said "脇が痛い" in the most annoying voice during an iisou shiritori.
Moment(s) that surprised me: Her graduation.
Favorite solo line in a song: Koigokoro.
Something I would say to her at a handshake event: See you in 2013!

That certainly looks like her :)
New agency, new name, a new start?
So maybe Hasegawa is her real name, but then again Koizumi might be her real name. It's not uncommon in Japan to change your stage name.
She's looking good though ;)
Can't wait to hear more of her.

According to her wiki japan page ( 小泉瑠美 wiki ) she has changed her name, looks to me like she started using the new name when she joined 'Tristone'.

I've just watched Fuji-TV next Idoling!!! 12th live NHK-ng!!!, glad to hear that 2013/01/18 will be "reunion" for 1st-year gen (as Masuno-san promised 5-years ago), but too bad (very very bad  ) Rumi-chan will not make it there  . Morimoto-announcer said "Zumi-san", but then corrected it to "Gawa-san". I've checked from this thread history that She's already changed her stage name to "Rumi Hasegawa" instead of her real given name "Rumi Koizumi"

In my opinion, Rumi-chan changed her stage name, because she's going into a different path (actress) than her past (Idol). I dunno why, but maybe if she still use her real name (aka Rumi Koizumi), her Idol-like image will still be put on herself even she's already become an actress. Different story with Erika Yazawa, even after her graduation, her presence in TV appearances still use "Erika Yazawa" name.

If you guys miss her, she's already have a blog (of course with Rumi Hasegawa name  :D)
http://ameblo.jp/rumi-hasegawa/

Some of her latest appearances in dorama (she acted as Sister), She looked completely different than her past, looks very mature, totally an adult

「アイドリング!!!2号は永遠である / Forever, Idoling!!! #2 」 I believe it is written in one of our banner at JPH!P, looking at the short clip posted just makes the phrase even more stronger. It has been years since we have this "Zumi-atmosphere" around and even after such long break, zumi just scores awesomeness in less than a few minutes.

Kado P entrance is just such a boss too!
