I can buy it for you from Amazon Japan who usually has a 25% discount for DVDs and Blu-rays if you pre-order. Not planning to buy them myself though

Amazon will most likely stay as the cheapest place, because I doubt any second hand copies will go under 10,000 yen.

Yeah, on second thought, it will indeed be difficult to get it that much cheaper second hand only one month after release.

The price is fine for me, but I'll buy it myself from Amazon Japan, have it sent to tenso and then I'll send everything to my hotel when I'm there. Which will still be cheaper than to buy it full price or second hand.
@hellguard89 : thanks for the offer, but I don't want to bother you to buy expensive things that I am able to buy myself from outside of Japan. Me & kei_86 will need your help to buy tickets for the TGS concert anyway. Money is precious for students, the less I owe you the better

About the Idoling BD 3D, I really enjoyed both. I appreciate the fact that this is the only Idol group who releases stuff in 3D (must be the back up of FujiTV). For example, AKB48 barely releases stuff in bluray alone.

I also noticed a clear transition to bluray, some of the latest releases aren't even available on dvd, only bluray, like the last numbering concert, Guam Idoling!!!, ...
I think Idoling!!! is in fact the only idol group that has released anything in 3D, and even released more than one 3D bluray, so it's not just one-off fad (at least for now).
I love it, we like our idols in full HD

Now if only they'd do this for the season dvds as well, that would be so nice. I'd give anything to have Season 1 on bluray in Full HD. Every episode since the beginning has been recorded in HD, but most sources, TV broadcast or OnDemand, were DVD quality (or worse) back then. Only when they show the first or old episodes again when someone graduates, that we see that it was in fact recorded in HD.

Would be amazing to see some 1st and 2nd gen episodes in their original quality. I've become so spoilt by watching HDTV now that it always takes a couple of minutes for my eyes to adjust to SD again.

Hell, I wish I had access to any of the seasons in any quality format, really. I've been wanting to start at the beginning and watch the whole thing, but I've heard the season DVDs are incomplete and I can't find downloads for the individual episodes. I just wish there was some way I could get a decent collection of these as downloads or streaming, but everything I've found is pretty disorganized and incomplete, and any torrents I've found have barely any seeders left. I absolutely love the Blu Ray and DVD releases that I have from them, they're some of my favorite pieces of media that I own, but I feel like I'm missing out on so much by not having seen a lot of the TV episodes.

In fact, I think Idoling!!! is not the only one in 3D. There's a Bluray of an Idol Group known as "Sphere" (Rings live tour 2010)but looks like it's not Bluray 3D format, so probably is the cheaper 3D. So yes, Idoling!!! must be the only one in real Bluray3D

So, can anyone recommend the Idoling/YGA live DVDs? I notice there is one for 2011 and one for I believe the year before that. The tracklist for the 2011 one looks like pure heaven and I'm about to just impulse buy the hell out of it, but I wanted to ask if anyone who has seen them can elaborate how they're set up.

It looks like they mix it up a bit and sing each other's songs as well as some of their own, but I'm also wondering, does this have any use of a live band like Idoling's major concerts do? And do they sing live or is it a generic idol concert with just newly recorded lipsync tracks? I'm pretty close to buying since the price is really reasonable for a ton of content, but I may reconsider if its just a bland concert like most major idol concerts with a karaoke track playing in the background and assisted vocal tracks and stuff. If this is done a little more like Idoling's concerts, I'm buying one of these immediately.

Also, if anyone has seen both of them, which one would you say is better than the other? I'd think the 2011 tracklist would be pretty hard to beat, but who knows.
