Another good live

See? AKB48 CAN DO LIVE PERFORMANCES

What I hope is that the next AKB48 concert is with a live band, like MM, Buono, & no3b has done before

Better still: AKB48 Concert, Live & Unplugged/Acoustic

EDIT:
Can anyone tell if this is live vocals or Lip-syncing?

Oh Wow! Singing and a live band! It's like a dream come true. I used to take those 2 things for granted until yesterday.

As for the second video, I think they are lip-syncing, but I don't know their voices or songs well enough in order to make an accurate assessment. It is also really hard to tell with that many voices. I also watched it on my phone so I couldn't even get a good visual with decent audio. What I am trying to say is to take the conclusion I came to with a grain of salt.

Yeah, that was the episode I was talking about. :thumbup

It's funny how the forum has recently had a few sections coming up reviewing singing-skills of idols. I think guys that are new to the idol groups should give them a chance and search through more performances before making an assessment. They might find some great ones like the ones MaxMcKay posted, and even renew their thoughts on some group members. :)

I've always thought that the second video was a live version. IDK, the voices really sound like that. For me, it's live and not lip-singing

Of course Live vocals will be preferred. Only exception perhaps is with very very intense dance numbers.

Live vocals. Even if it sounds terrible, it's still awesome.

Live vocals give it the whole feelings of the situation, the song, the moment... that cannot be compared to lip singing really >.<

Another 2 reasonings against lip-syncing in live vocals' favor

-how can an autotuned lip-sync properly convey a singer's emotions as she is currently performing on the stage?
-lip-syncing =lack of confidence in one's voice. Sure, Kojiharu ain't no Masuda Yuka or Takamina, but she's at least confident & proud enough of her own voice that she sings live
shame this is lost on lip-syncers like SNSD (Jessica is a great vocalist, are they so lacking in confidence of their own vocals that they had to resort to stooping that low?)

Whilst on the topic, has there been any live performance of Namida Surprise? Is the one at the 1st Webster Hall a live one?

Akicha improved a lot over the last years. In the beginning she barely made a sound at all, but now she sounds pretty good imo.

I felt this whole performance was lacking a bit in confidence. It was good, but it could've used some more power. Aw well. Can't complain.

I will prefer live vocals as much as possible. At least for all the slower songs.

I understand that some AKB48 songs require intense dancing and if the girls go out of breathe, that may ruin the performance.
But personally, I would actually like to see them sing out of breathe & off key sometimes because at least it feels genuine.

With that said, I can still understand and accept them using lip syncing sometimes. It bothered me when I first got to know them .. but now I'm used it.
