It's not cruelty. It's rehabilitation. Do you still think smoking was the only thing she did? It was the only thing she was publicly caught doing. This has all the marks of a hardcore intervention and rehabilitation that is entering its final stages. Moving back in with her family, avoiding friends, losing a ton of weight, learning how to do the most mundane household chores, starting over from scratch in the agency office... c'mon, think about it. A person who needs to rediscover her center that much must have been more than a little off center to begin with.

That's an interesting approach, I didn't think about it this way. May be true, but we can only guess. It might as well have been a one time thing for her, maybe she was just experimenting, then things got a little out of hand, and wham, bad luck, she gets caught. Not that I'm trying to justify her recklessness, but I don't think it's so certain that smoking wasn't the only thing she did. We'll never know. But all this humble repentance makes her look like a former crack addict re-emerging from a private clinic. But I know, I know, that's Japan, that's idols' life.

You know what? What's she doing consenting to an interview in Friday magazine? This could have been been done in some other "newsweekly," no? Did the magazine have any more dirt on her or did she (or UFA) just naturally go back to the editors for easy publicity? Hard to imagine that UFA would be so cooperative towards an entity that's caused them so many headaches.

I think it Friday might be trying to clean up their image of H!P. Even though they've ousted Mari and Aibon... (and Megumi too?), they might want to start again with the UFA and have no bad blood between them. Or, they were tricked and Aibon may not even be coming back... lol...
