Japan Times music commentator Ian Martin had a very interesting article about Momoclo:

Martin notes Momoclo's penchant for abrupt switches in their songs:

"One such progressive rocker is Taigen Kawabe of U.K.-based psychedelic band Bo Ningen. More often seen in Tokyo playing alongside noise legends such as Keiji Haino, Kawabe's page on the website SoundCloud leads off with a curious mashup of his own band and Momioro Clover Z in which the former band's shifts in rhythm match surprisingly well with the idol group's distinctive penchant for chopping aggressively (and sometimes illogically) between seemingly unconnected melodies."

Martin and a couple other foreign writers at Japan Times are very much against the success of AKB48, and tend to whine like wet cats everytime AKB48 achieve any success, but on a more positive note, Martin is a very active supporter of the independent music scene in Japan. He does have nice things to say about Perfume and now Momoclo.............so check out his columns and learn a lot more about the independent music scene in Japan.

Momoiro Clover should be immensely satisfied with how that PV turned out. Truly one of the best J-pop PVs that I have seen in years.

I read a comment by tenkei san the other day, using the phrase "adorkable" ......perfect word to caputre Momoclo members as they discuss winning the CD shops award......the girls are so adorably geeky.............

Momoiro Clover Z, leading the crowd in a very rousing song about the various parts of Japan, in the December 2011 Live at Saitama Super Arena. A difficult year indeed for everyone in the Touhoku region, and the recovery still goes on. Towards the end of the song, it is Momoka who is singing about the Touhoku region, and as she sings that she loves each of the prefectures in the stricken region, you can see the tears in her eyes.
