According to Shukan Shincho (Sept. 15), some of Satomi’s most ardent followers appear to be members of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau, whose investigation two years ago on suspicion of tax evasion revealed that most of her income does not come from AV films.

According to a person from the bureau, Satomi never filed a tax return between 2007 and 2013. Over that same period, her bank account received deposits totaling 245 million yen. “This led the bureau to point out that there was ‘hidden income,’” the source with the bureau tells the magazine.

In breaking down her income, the magazine speculates that Satomi is paid approximately one million yen for each of the roughly 20 films she appears in over each year. The resulting total income, however, is nowhere near 245 million yen.

“In fact, she received 45 million yen from her work as an AV actress,” continues the tax bureau source. “The remaining 200 million yen came from boyfriends. They deposited the money into her account.”

In taking into consideration additional taxation and taxes in arrears, the bureau determined that Satomi was liable for 115 million yen in penalties.

Initially, the actress accepted the result. However, she soon after changed course, appearing at the Meguro Tax Office with a statement refuting the decision.

“Indeed, money was transferred to me by men whom I had been dating, but the amount was not decided by me,” she claimed. “Since I received it as compensation for mental and physical strain, I consider it to be the result of open affection.”

All told, four men, a doctor in Osaka, an employee at a foreign currency exchange company, a real estate agent living in Hong Kong and the president of a non-profit organization, each paid Satomi 50 million yen.

“We were dating under the assumption of eventual marriage, a condition that was not fulfilled, and I received the money as compensation,” she added in her protest.

Tax counselor Hiroaki Urano says that Satomi likely received professional guidance regarding the Income Tax Law.

“To receive compensation for damages incurred to the mind and body is not considered new income under the law, and is not taxable,” says Urano.

The aforementioned tax official said a compensation payment of between 500,000 yen and two million yen could be viewed as reasonable. “But 50 million yen? There was no reason for that to be recognized, and the claim was rejected,” the official said.

A representative from Satomi’s agency told the magazine that the tax penalty has been paid. “We have heard that the tax investigation is finished,” the person said.

Makes you wonder if any of the Muscats have had offers from these rich guys looking to marry them. Or if they're doing it now.

Okay...time for a bit of an opinion column-ish RE: Yuria's Tax Scuffle

AV Actresses declaring tax is a normal thing. I remember one time in an article that some AV actress couldn't declaire their income from their videos. And it is quite normal to see that huge sum of cash as their income. Like I said, it is normal, like most people should do (obligations for the government). Yuria, on the other hand, is way more different. I am shocked to see her income that was stated. The 45-million was normal, but the 200 is way over the line. We know that Yuria is a spontaneous gal, an energetic fellow. We also know that her sexual activities are quite...spontaneous, as well.

This quote of hers made me wonder, “Since I received it as compensation for mental and physical strain, I consider it to be the result of open affection.”

I don't want to dig deep into her love life or what, but gosh. What did they do to her in order for her to say that. For me...I don't know...and I don't want to know...but still, it makes me wonder.

This situation really mirrors the Japanese society as of late. Men are "hungry." Birth Rate Declining. etc. etc.

We also know that some men often hauled by AV companies for this, like in Yuria's case.

What bothers me is Yuria's claims regarding the big wad of cash.

I mean, I like her as a energetic gal, playing drunk...a wild cat of the OG Muscats.

But let us admit that some times people, even AV idols, have bumps along the way. And Yuria just happened to stumble a big mound of a road bump that is much bigger than Bohol's Chocolate Hills.

The good thing is that Yuria will receive economic guidance regarding this, and I believe that Yuria will watch her income soon after this.

Ignore the boyfriend-mumbo-jumbo-stuff. Let Yuria take care of her financial problems first. After all, we don't want her to spoil her great run just because of that.

And sad news: Rina Rukawa will finally be retiring from the entertainment industry next year. During their SEXY-J Halloween Event, Rina announced that her activities will be done of February 23rd. Rina admitted that when she retired from AV, she plans to retire fully, but she hold back, knowing that she has dreams to accomplish.

Sadly, she returned just to announce her graduation from the group. It was confirmed on Ebisu Muscats Official Twitter account. It was nice to see her again, even if it was for just a little moment
