That's it. After five years the Muscat's great run has come to a close. Introducing us to so many cute, hot, and beautiful girls, the Muscats go their separate ways. We've cherished all their great moments, which in turn were both good (Aino Kishi as the 3rd leader, the first time we've seen Purukawa) and sometimes bad (Risa Kasumi leaving the show, the announcement last December). But without this group I probably wouldn't be the man I am now. I wouldn't be inspired to break barriers and give the metaphorical middle finger to people who think I can't do something just because it's of who I am or what my career is, because that is exactly what these women did: break that barrier. I'll never forget the women I find to be a personal favorite as of this day: Aino Kishi, Mui Kuriyama, Rina Rukawa, and Uruha Mizuki/Aya Shiina. It's going to be tough to move on from the one thing that motivates you break through life's obstacles, but all good things must come to an end.

Thank you, Ebisu Muscats.

You fucking rocked my world :)

why they are disband?
For some odd reason they disbanded at the pinnacle of their stardom, or at the peak of popularity. Because of a lot of things (a lack of ideas on the variety show, the health of some of the girls [Jessica, Yuma, Rin, etc.]) they disbanded, but we on this board know what we have to do, and that's fill this board with Muscats-related things regarding the individual Muscats, since, well, there's no more Muscats after the end of this month.

Like this interesting thing I found 8)
A few days ago I mentioned someone named Aya Shiina. This girl was inspired by the Muscats to pursue a career in AV, specifically speaking regarding Aino Kishi and Rio. She had a small AV career but changed her name for literally a year. She eventually found her way on the Muscats with her alternate name, but she didn't last long. Her niche involves cosplay, and I gotta say she pulls it off incredibly.

Does this girl look familiar yet?

Finally I've guts to watch the final episode of Onemasu SP..
And there're 2 things that catch my eyes from the entire show..
  • That lucky, or super lucky guy (1 of the 3 comedians), if you know what I mean  :D
  • And the boiling water party. A crazy idea to plunge into that boiling water, yet it's an awesome idea to put this game on the last episode with every member 'got wet'.
  :twothumbs

Does this girl look familiar yet?
Well, my best guess for the second pict is Mizuki, but I don't have idea for the first one
If those are the same girl, my eyes are really deceived.

Whoa, we miss someone's birthday.
On the same day the Sotsugyou album is released..

This cutie! Happy birthday Nanako..
*1 day late, it's April 4th already in Japan.

Well, you can call my anything you want but I nearly sobbed when I watched the last 3 minutes of that episode..

Nanako Kodama appreciation post for her birthday today?
 :inlove:

This girl's undeniably cute I must say. I personally like her with her glasses but she can look attractive without them like right now

I have to own it
Well, now I'm quoting myself
And I finally fulfilled my promise. This morning, the item that I pre-ordered earlier came.

And inside, there's this awesome mini photobook

Take a peek inside,

This album cost me a half of my savings and I've prepared my savings since January for this last memento of Ebisu Muscats. What a sacrifice, but it's worth it.

I can't say anything but thank you, for making me a fanatic fan for the first time in my life. If I can say to them personally, I definitely will.

Well I found the final Muscats album for $60 online which is a tad steep, even if this is a two CD album with my favorite group of J-Pop girls in the spotlight for the last time...
And assuming Kinokuniya will carry it, it may go as high as $90+. Yes, that's just how expensive J-Pop CDs are nowadays

Finally, this day has come.   :(

There's always Twitter to give them one last message goodbye. But while today may be one of the saddest days in this forum thread, we will not let the legend of the Ebisu Muscats die!
#MuscatsForLife

But here's something interesting to keep the Muscats memory alive until, say mid June.
Remember when I gave every Muscat an NBA team?
With the playoffs just around the corner, some Muscats are in and some Muscats are out.
And here's some of the girls who missed out.

Yes, Team Saemi (Cleveland), Team Ayako (Minnesota) and Team Ai (Portland) are all out. Other teams out include Team Rion (Washington), Team Hana (Orlando), Team Kaho (New Orleans) and Team Ena (Toronto).
Other teams in the running for the playoffs (but aren't eliminated yet) include initial's favorite team, Team Haruka (Milwaukee), Team Acky (L.A. Lakers), Team Shou (Dallas) and team Rika (Utah).
When we get to April 18th, when the playoff picture is set, we'll see which Muscat's team wins the NBA championship. 8)

And yes, I refer to every NBA team by the specific Muscat I gave them :P

i like what Ogura's wearing on top,          but I love what she's wearing underneath

I hope the Bucks do very well, this could have people like the idea of buying a new stadium for the team.  but they will need to go to the damn games to show support.

Epic quote is epic
Actually, we still have one more PV to watch but it's not shared anywhere yet. The 'Album' PV.
I want to share it via Youtube but the file's size that I have is about 1GB, it'll take forever to upload. It's kind of sad to watch that PV, though.. :(

Oooh...really close guess remy...really close.
That's Kyrie Irving's girl; hence why Saemi is rocking the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey :P
You know who my favorite is?
i have a top 10 list of kawaii girls i seem to like...hah hah XD

  • Minami Minegishi
  • Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
  • Mui Kuriyama
  • Aino Kishi
  • Anna Konno
  • Rina Rukawa
  • Emi Kurita
  • Uruha Mizuki
  • Rion Sakamoto
  • Airi Kijima

 :shakeit:
Yup. Saemi might place 11th or something but either way, it was a real close guess XD

I hope the Bucks do very well, this could have people like the idea of buying a new stadium for the team.  but they will need to go to the damn games to show support.
Good luck this year initial. This is the team that Team Haruka is likely going to face in the Playoffs...and it's not pretty.

Yes, the best teams in the league right now include Team Rio (Miami), Team Asami (New York), Team Yuma (San Antonio) and Team Aino (Oklahoma City)

And remy here's Team Rina. Good luck fella; she has a fast team that dunks a lot 8)

But here's the team I'm rooting for to make it far into the playoffs...at least I hope :panic:

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup  candy cane rope ftw

My favorite Muscat is so damn cute and the rope gives her that, for lack of a better word, "bad girl" side. She does have a life outside the Muscats with her other gravure girls (hence why her Twitter name is @ts_mui I guess?), which is not the same as Saemi, which we don't really know what her plans are outside the Muscats. Aino has AV, Rina have AV and Mihirina.tv, Rion's got CLEAR's, and Uruha is probably dead. Yes, Mui is five years older than I am but hey.

Her cuteness knows no bounds. That's how cute she is :inlove:

LOOK AT THAT CUTE SMILE. ONLY SHE CAN PULL OFF THAT CUTE SMILE YALL.

What?? What's with that 'dead' word?  :?

Some pictures of their last concert

There are more here
http://news.thetv.jp/article/37839/
Seems like Yuma still can't make it there, but there're Risa, Mihiro and Konan at the encore.. :D
But... (this is Google Translate's result) 'Rin Sakuragi had been away from the activity in bad shape equally participated in the middle' and 'Members who had not been informed of the participation of Sakuragi, crying even surprised.'
Does it mean... that... Rin.. was there? Made it to the last concert?  :shocked

I'm assuming yes; you can't have a final Muscats concert with one of the marquee members. Yes, it was a late appearance but it's better than not appearing at all. Maybe that's why some members cried when she made a surprise appearance? It's understandable. But hey, for the final concert, I would have liked it if some more former Muscats returned for the final concert (ex. Miyuki Yokoyama, Sayoko Ohashi, Cocomi Sakura, Maria Ozawa, Uruha Mizuki, etc.).

Speaking of Uruha...
and Uruha is probably dead.
What?? What's with that 'dead' word?  :?
Everything about Uruha Mizuki is dead. Her two blogs are deleted, she recently resigned with her third AV company, and there's no information about this lady as of today. There's nothing I can say about this girl because I'm convinced she either resigned from the adult video idol industry, or she is dead. The last thing I saw of her was a magazine article regarding her opinions on the idol industry, and that idols cannot be older than 18. I'm guessing that really hit her publicity levels, like extremely hard, because after that article that is the last Uruha Mizuki-related thing I have ever seen. Who knows? Maybe she changed her name again. If Rio and Yuria Satomi can get away with it then I guess Uruha Mizuki can as well. But I dunno, I was a pretty big fan of this girl ever since I found out she is the only Muscat in the history of the show that's younger than I am (by 2 months but hey), and it was really interesting finding out everything I can about this lady, from her first stage name (?) in Aya Shiina, to her developing gravure and AV career, to the 2 month stint with the Muscats (she had only one freaking like throughout the whole show; thanks alot Hana/Anna), to her AV company sending a retweet because I'm a real big fan. Yes, all of this happened in a span of almost a year, but now that I know she's gone for good, it's not a good feeling. It also sucks when you go through an otaku-style phase, imagining Uruha Mizuki as your girlfriend (like some of the fans do with AKB48 and similar idol groups). I did this a while back when I found out about the Muscats back in 2010, when that girl was Rio. Then it was Rina for a looooooooooooooooooooong time, then Saemi for a bit, and then Uruha (Mui remains my favorite Muscat but I don't look at her in the otaku-style lens; I just think she is very attractive and cute). But Uruha is metaphorically, or maybe physically, dead.

Maybe we may see this girl again sometime in the future?

I sure hope so. :)
