There is one segment in Onedari SP that requires the attention of our fave Glutton. It is entitled, "Quiz: What will Haruka eat today?"

The rules are simple: 4 teams will guess what will Haruka eats in the Dressing room.

Kasumi Risa demonstrates how she can play ‘rock-scissors-paper’ with her toes.
Nagasaku Airi shows off her armpits.
Rio apologizes to KONAN in Osaka dialect.

The episode ends with Yuma and Fujiura Megu running around the main set, dressed in sports wear, while throwing volleyballs around.

1. Yuma always mentioned that during her "Namida Recitals"...I still don't know if Yuma was thought Filipino by the Japayukis (our informal way of labeling those Filipina entertainers, even to those who are working in "Philippine Pubs")... I wish she could tweet one day in Filipino.

2. Megu and Yuma dressed like the pilots from Gunbuster, an anime from Gainax. When Megu was hit by a ball in a buttock, they will stop, show the bruise (if Megu had one), and run randomly while dodging the balls or throw yhem randomly that they almost wreck the set. Then they have a water break for a few seconds then they start over again. That segment was crazy, next to Ayako's "Love Revolution Tag", the Episode where a make-up-less Ena chase the Muscats around, and each and every Muscat slammed in their wall of boxes.

3. Besides OgiYahagi and Okubo, Sho Nishino was also there as one of the guys from the Press....

The only video I've been able to find that has any of the baka No.1 test. 

This is SP episode 19. It ends just before they announce the winner.

I remember that episode. Airi became my favorite Muscat at the end of that test 
Aika and Kasumi seem to have trouble remembering kanji (I don't blame them, like Tetsujin 28 said, those things are a pain to learn, even for japanese people...).
Did Ayako change her hairstyle at some point during the test?

I remember my post here about our ladies and Gundams. Well, I imagined that what if the Muscats would become Mobile Suit pilots. I imagined Sola as Amuro Ray, and since she had a rivalry with KONAN, I think she (KONAN) might be Char Aznable. Aika Ando should either be Domon Kasshu (G Gundam) or Sekai Kamiki (Gundam Build Fighters TRY). Yuma Asami might be Kamille Bidan of Zeta and Aino Kishi will be Judau Ashta of Double Zeta. Rina Rukawa should be Elpeo Ple since she had that loli feel. Sho Nishino can be Kira Yamato of SEED. *urgh* can't imagine the others...hahahahahahah....

I already mentioned this before but every time I see Mui I picture her as Allenby, the pilot of the Novel Gundam And I see a resemblance between Shou and Roux (from ZZ Gundam).

I laughed hard at this SP episode.

1.) Well, Ayako's room is a small one. Full of clutter, consisting of clothes scattering around the floor.

2.) Where in the world of helix is the chicken come from?! Is that Ayako's Pet?! 

3.) Okay, Rio. You cooked a home-cooked meal for the guests and Ayako, but you almost put a hot saute pan in her bed sheet. Also, Kaho did observe the 5-second rule on the noodles when it  was on the floor. 

4.) Looks like Rika got to use the amenities of Ayako's apartment, e.g. The Bathroom (Aoi is like a caretaker or some sorts when she bathed Rika)

5.) Well, OgiYahagi wore almost a lot of Ayako's clothes.

6.) Yahagi almost turned Ayako's apartment room wall into a dart board.

7.) Ayako's almost pissed off but she is fine...she apologized at the end.

Furthermore, this Episode is a Comedy Gold!

Is it me? Or I like the idea of Choito Muscat? To have a little number of core members to make room for new ones. I mean, they have the most number of NEW Members, which is good. If Maccoi didn't stop the Muscats in their run, he might do that again. I kinda imagine that if possible, Margarines should be the 10th Gen Muscats while keeping a small number of core members, let us say...10....

I kinda liked that idea ever since I watched the first episode of ChoiMasu (and yes, Nanako at that time is too dang cute without the glasses...).

Another point is that season is the first season that has 2 alternate costumes (pinkish blouse + Standard EbiMasu Colors skirts on the first half and standard EbiMasu Blouse + Skirt that we see from that time until Onedari DX in the latter half).

And oh, have some Choito Nanako for you.

Which is from Choito episode 11. I would guess (it's late and I don't want to start looking up kanji ) is another popularity contest ranking.

I remember this episode, it was so obvious that it was staged, it became funny. Konan mentioned in her survey that she thinks a few of the staff workers on the show has a crush on her and she wanted to confirm it. So Kobayashi producer did a survey of 100 staff workers and got them to vote for one Muscats member according to looks only. I am no expert in running a TV show, but I know for sure that a late night TV show won't have 100 staff workers on set, maybe 10 to 15 max? Also, when you count the top 10 in the list, it is already 100 votes, so there is no way Konan, who came in last place would have gotten a single vote. Also, if you take a look at the top 10 on the list, they are all AV members, none of the gravure idols made the list, so it is clear that the list was formulated by the sponsor of the show to promote the AV members. I guess they were trying to promote Eri Ouka at the time, or else I have a tough time believing she would be more popular than Nishino or Nanako. I was happy that Kobayashi supposely voted for Jessica though.

It could be just me, but I really like the final Muscats members, not sure I would be able to accept only 10 out of 30 remaining. All the old members except 7th and 8th Gen, including Saemi and Rion has lots of fan followings, so if you would to remove them, Muscats probably would have ended soon after anyways. They tried the idea in Choito and looking at the result, it failed. Only four of the Choito members ended up sticking with the show. They probably realized they made a mistake right away and brought back Nishino, Ogawa, Hatsune and Kasumi Risa right away, but it probably wasn't enough, so they ended Choito after just 26 episodes and brought Sora and the four second Gen gravure idols back in the mix. Late Choito and early DX was the time when they really started to do live concert performances, so they needed popular members that can sell ticket.

Personally, I can't see Margarines going anywhere, none of the members are famous and they had to rely on remaining support from Muscats fans to barely sell tickets for their first concert. They even had to announce that Aino was coming as a special guest to try and sell more tickets before the show.

Before Choito there had been 44 Muscats in 2 years.
After Choito there were 18 new Muscats in 2 and a half years.

I think the numbers agree with what ikari456 is saying. After what happened during Choito the producers decided not to make major changes to the line-up.

He’s right about the Margarines, too. The big difference between the Margarines and the Muscats is that the Muscats had a big company (Hokuto Corp.) bankrolling their activities. Hokuto were willing to spend money on the Muscats because they could make money on DVD sales, etc. As has been discussed on this tread many times, Ebismasu was really made by TV Tokyo and Hokuto Corp. Hokuto had a big say about what happened on the show. For example, when Kasumi Risa left Hokuto Corp and moved to SOD (Hokuto Corp’s major rival) she had to leave the series.

In my own opinion, I think EbiMasu really became successful with or without Hokuto's influence in their 5-year career. For me, before Muscats came, Sola, Yuma, Acky, and Rio became household names in the AV Community. And that would be a possible reason why Muscats is soaring high.  Put aside Hokuto and insert another factor why Muscats is successful for their 5-year tenure: US.

I always watch the Muscats' PVs on YT and reading the comments, particularly in Oecura Mambo and Watashi Mambo. My fellow Filipinos asked, "Where is Maria Ozawa?". I said, "She became a Muscat for a short while" (Our country is both an Ozawa Country and a Sola Country). I think if Miyabi stayed, the Muscat's fandom will spread throughout SEA.

When it comes to Margarines, I think they should be given a chance. I mean, Aino give them the Muscats' dream to perform in Budokan...and she wants to see it fulfilled. Even I wanted to see it fulfilled.

Call it a "Punch to the Moon" but if Maccoi didn't cut Muscats' tenure while in their prime, I guess they will soar more...and it is because of us. If some one wanted to stay and be a Senpai to the new members, that is fine. If they wanted to graduate, it is also fine.

Speaking of which, in my opinion, Risa graduated, but not because she switched sides from Hokuto to SOD. Mihiro graduated because her retirement was draw near at that time. KONAN graduated because she wants to move to a greener pasteur (and creating an unforgetful rivalry between SDN48 and EbiMas). Risa graduated because of personal reasons. In my opinion, the SOD-S1 rivalry is not the reason why. If I wanted to ask her why, I will not ask. I just let her because that is her decision.

For me, EbiMas is not just a bunch of girls, mostly AV Idols, who sing. For me, they just love it. Bonds where created there. I mean, for me, if I choose between buying their DVDs and a ticket to their one-time reunion concert (another impossible dream), I would choose the latter.


Sorry if I get carried away here. When I hear "Album", I almost cried to the point I ask internally, "Why?"

Ahhh, the great Maria Ozawa mystery...Why did she appear for such a short time (just the first 2 episodes)?

Was it her decision to leave the show? Or did the production team decide she wasn't suitable?

Probably it was never intended that she do any more than the first couple of episodes.

Which is why she is in the back row rather than the front row.
