I'm glad this single can be sold so much, although without election ticket or voting ticket for Shibuya AX such as RIVER single.

This proves that AKB48 fans growing fast.. maybe AkiP want to know how far the power of AKB48 fans to buy this single.
When I go to Japan last month, AKB48 are so very popular now, just as you see them frequently appears on TV.

Congratz for this single.

I wonder how many sales in 18th single (with vote ticket for Shibuya AX '11).

Heavy Rotation placed number 1 in this weeks charts with a total of 527,336 sold
It was also top of the charts on Monday, however on Tuesday it moved down to 6th

Great sales for sure. I didn't expect it would beat Ponytail. One of the things I like best about this single is the dvd. It's jam-packed with cool stuff: 3 awesome PVs with a lot of variety, senbatsu document, puccho lulz, drinking video.

As for it's place in Japan? Probably very far down the pile. According to this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_singles_in_Japan, Heavy-Rotation would have to sell an additional 1.85 million copies to sneak into the top 10...

Even for 2010 Arashi has the edge. Jpop Stop! (love that website) puts 2 Arashi songs at the top; Troublemaker & Monster (692 & 685,xxx respectively).

If Aki-P wants to beat Johnny's boys or maybe even get that million seller stamp, he's got to pull some magic rabbit out of his hat. Theme song for a popular drama always seems to help.
