^ Haha seeing that when I wasn't expecting it was definitely a WTF experience  (I watched a compilation video of all the endings, no warning of this whatsoever)

Also, I just saw the "dog ending" to Silent Hill 2 last night and it was the BEST THING EVER.

You know that a survival horror game is good if people start posting reaction videos for it.

This looks... Awesome.. :O

"The effectiveness of a horror game often hinges on its ability to instill a sense of helplessness. Some do this by limiting the number of offensive options. Others do it by removing offensive options altogether. Among the Sleep, from Norwegian developer Krillbite Studio, ups the ante by putting players in control of a two-year-old."

Dark corridors, jump scares, looks like a RE game alright. Except, I wish there was a way to turn off the waypoint. Half the enjoyment of playing a survival horror is the exploration and getting a feel for the environment at first. I think that waypoint would kill that.

Whoever created Slender is an evil genius, mostly evil.

I mean just WHY WHY?

Dead Space 3's co-op mode will appeal to people who found the first two Dead Space games too scary, publisher EA has said.

Players will be able to tackle the entirety of Dead Space 3's campaign with a friend - a marked change from the nerve-jangling solitude of Dead Space 1 and 2.

"We were doing research coming out of Dead Space 1 and 2 and we're really proud of those products," EA Games marketing boss Laura Miele told MCV. "We received feedback to understand how we can take the game out to even more consumers.

"We were hearing feedback that they love the thriller game, but it was pretty scary, and the obvious next step was that they wanted to play with someone. So we introduced co-op into the game."

Wait, am I missing something here? What's the point of making a horror game that isn't scary?

^Yeah. If we wanted that we'd play Resident Evil! Dun Dun! :D

I really liked Dead Space 1+2. Even though I can't handle horror stuff that well, DS did it pretty well. Hope the co-op won't dumb down the fear factor too much.

On the other hand, what if they made some distrust between the players.
LOL, doppelgangers (1: I'm Me! 2: No I'm Me! grows extra arm, stabs you in the face). in-fighting for low supplies. Make your partner have 0 ammo in exchange to make a boss fight easier. Let's create gaming's 2nd most causes of social trauma and broken friendships after Mario Bros. :thumbup

Gameplay from ZombiU for the Wii U. Looks like it has some pretty cool ideas.
