Northern Ireland 3 vs 2 Spain!!!! Healey! Healey! I'm still shocked that he's not playing in the Premiership. Even more shocked when you know he's playing in the reserves. He's more than capable of doing well for a Premiership club. I know I certainly wouldn't mind him coming to Utd.

Oh Steven Gerrard. Stevie, Stevie, Stevie. I like to think you are a pretty decent footballer and a somewhat decent guy.

And then you go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid like Peter Crouch is a 'frightenly great finisher' and can beat Bobby Charlton's record of 49 goals for England

Sadly, even as Liverpool fan, I agree.

EDIT: With you, not Gerrard.

EDIT 2: Fuck Everton..

Wow, it's four out of four for us, it's been a while since we had a start like that, with Rooney and scholes back, hopefully we can keep it up!

Giggs FTW!! I can't believe how after 12 or so years, this is the first time he's ever won the 'Player Of The Month' award  Tough matches coming up this week. Celtic on Wednesday and Arsenal on Sun. Although with the way they're playing, Arsenal shouldn't be much of a problem :P

Ashley Cole claims he joined Chelsea because he was angry that Arsenal made no serious attempt to keep him.

The England defender wanted £60,000 a week but says the Gunners board were only prepared to offer him £55,000.

Guess what Cole? Nobody gives a shit.

Quote
Cole also felt he had been poorly treated in comparison to striker Thierry Henry, who eventually signed a new deal with the Gunners despite interest from Barcelona.

"The club made Thierry feel wanted and special, wooing him, wining and dining him, speaking in public about how much they wanted him to stay, going on a deliberate charm offensive," stated Cole.

"But me? I didn't have one dinner, one meeting or one phone call from anyone."

*plays the worlds saddest song on the world's smallest violin*

Yeah well when you become an international football icon, a world class striker and the club's most iconic player, you can expect that kind of behaviour. As for you, you're a crap left-back defender who's only claim to fame as of late is the amount of tabloid press you've got for marrying a member of a girl pop group. Oh, and you've got a girl's name.

^ Not only that, but Giggs is out for 3 weeks. We better be at our best against Arsenal. After all, Liverpool is playing Chelsea, and Liverpool are one of the few teams that Chelsea can't seem to beat. If we win and Chelsea lose, then that's 6 points ahead, plus more misery to Arsenal, which I'll be fine with. :D

^ He got a 'knock' in training to his ankle, and recieved ankle ligament damage. The operation means he'll have to be sidelined for three months.

:sigh: one day my lot will a: buy a striker who can score; b: beat chelski in the premier league. 1-0 to chelski, and kuyt and stevie g missed bagfuls of chances.

still, momo sissoko didn't get sent off when he fully deserved it, and ballack did get sent off, and arsenal are holding man u: so it's not all bad :)

That was easily one of the worst performances I've seen from United. First things first, what the hell was our 18m signing doing on the bench? Secondly, I love Ronaldo but when he starts faffing around doing tricks, in his own half of all places, it can be so frustrating to watch, and it lead to Arsenal scoring the goal. Substitutions were also stupid. You take off two of our best attacking players in Rooney and Scholes, rather than someone like Fletcher and O'Shea? No, sorry, I don't see the logic. Maybe if we were up 3-0 at that time, but not when it's still all to play for. And the passing was so pathetic, that I reckon all of our players were color-blind. I don't even think we made more than 3 successful passes. On a slightly more positive note, I was impressed by Kuszczak today, but really that's about it. I could have gone down to the local park and seen a better side than today.

This topic is on the 2nd page?! That won't do!

With regards on Utd, we're playing.....well. I still live in fear of the day we play Chelsea but who isn't nowadays? And Rooney will be back on form before you know it. And I like how the media did a 180 and now they lurve Ronaldo.

I just don't understand the fascination with Peter Crouch recently. He's distinctly and obviously average. Although I could just be prejudiced because of who he plays for  :P

In the funniest news I've heard all week, Arsene Wenger said that too many foreign players were bad for the English game. I shit you not, Arsene Wenger said that. He of course back tracked a bit later, but he says that in five years, at least half of his first team squad will be English (you know, that is probably when the foreigners have taken up British citizenship)

Oh my god, did wenger really said that? When he famously fielded a starting 11 without any englishmen at all? Peter Crouch...he's just funny, the way he runs, fall over...it's like watching a freak show I guess :) But somehow he's scoring.

Come on United! Back on top of the league (as you would expect) :D

*EDIT*

Manchester United is linked to a fresh move with Torres, after rumours that Alex Ferguson has made a 5 million down payment on the star. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D
