Someone got rid of the (admittedly awesome as hell) narration and spliced together a couple sources of the Skyrim theme heard in the trailer. Sounds manly as fuck!

Ristar! Makes me feel good. :D

Soundtrack from the best racing game of all time. This brings back some great memories of having the Dreamcast and switching between driving in London at 2:00PM and Tokyo at night on 10:00PM. I miss the DJ's and region specific songs. It really made each city unique to drive in.

PGR2 even had more countries and thus, more DJ's and region specific songs. Then it just spiralled down from there with PGR4 and it's generic 'who's hot' soundtrack that's played in any track. Lame, it lost a lot of it's heart and soul as a result, and despite the fact that the game itself was pretty good, it just wasn't as enjoyable. Would you rather listen to Lily Allen or Lady Sovereign or this classic Will Smith knock off?

Love this song cause it means I'm kicking ass in Fist of the North Star, hammering away at the X button while Ken does his Hundred Crack Fist. Which is completely unnecessary as the game doesn't ask for that kind of input at all, it's just something I do. I just feel like I'm throwing the punches when I press it repeatedly :nervous

Funny, for what's seen as a side project on the PSP, Dissidia features this song, perhaps my absolute favourite across any FF game.

For the first time in its history, a Grammy Award has been given out in recognition of a song composed for a video game.

Composer Christopher Tin won the award for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s)” for the song “Baba Yetu” at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. While the song itself appeared on the album Calling All Dawns (which itself won for “Best Classical Contemporary Album”), the song is most recognized as the opening theme for the 2005 game Civilization IV.

Certainly well deserved (Calling All Dawns is an absolute masterpiece) and good to see game music getting some recognition outside of the gaming world. :)

Persona PSP opening -Dream of Butterfly-

I have to confess, even though I ended up not liking the game much due to excessive grinding I played it lots of times due to the amazing Opening.

Psycho Mantis' theme properly creeped me out when I first played MGS1, and it's still rather haunting listening to it now:

First thing that comes to mind: Anything by Nobu Uematsu (Final Fantasy series).  I especially love the music from FF8.  Eyes On Me and Waltz to the Moon, particularly.

I also love the old school 8bit sounding music.  Super Mario Bros.,  Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter II.

Other games with sweet tracks are Suikoden Tierkreis, The World Ends With You... Oh lol, the original games for the SNES Super Scope.

Edit:
Oh fuck!!! I just scrolled up. How could I forget Katamari Damacy!? La laaa la la la la la la laaa la la la la la la laaaaaa

Oh and Pilotwings 64, the birdman levels. So mellow and calming. B)
