Chapter 9 She woke up to find herself lying in a hospital bed. She was confused and somewhat scared.
How did I get here? Why am I here? She looked right, left, up and then down. She noticed gauze wrapped with a medical tape around her left wrist.
I had tried to kill myself again, but this time, I went a bit too far… she stared at the blood stained fabric on her wrist and started crying.
{Flash back}
“Ai-chan, please hold on! Don’t give up on me! Please, you can’t do this to me!”
{End of flash back}She tried to stop the tears, but they kept falling.
Stop it you crybaby! You did this to yourself. Why are you crying? She scolded herself, but that only made it worse.
Why am I doing this? What did Reina do to deserve this? I made her cry…Reina doesn’t cry! She didn’t cry when her mom kicked her out of the house, and she didn’t cry when she lost her boyfriend in a car accident…but she cried for me, for my life. Ai cried until there were no more tears left. “Reina, you will cry no more. I promise.” She made up her mind; she’s not going to let anyone hurt her again, she’s not going to let anyone play with her feelings again, especially that person who was the cause of all her pain.

Reina’s POV
“There is no way in hell I’m going to let her get away with this!” I said quietly while biting my bottom lip. She must’ve heard because she stopped and looked at me. “Tanaka-san, are you okay?” I gave her my awesome model-like smile and replied. “Yeah, I’m okay.” She smiled, and then her smile turned into a worried expression. “Oh my god! Tanaka-san, you’re bleeding!” I must’ve bitten too hard. I was trying to wipe the blood away, but suddenly, I felt two hands cupping my face, that’s when I completely froze. “How are you okay? Your lip is bleeding. Here let me…” she leaned closer and wiped the blood with her finger. “Why were you biting your lip?” she said calmly.
Why is she calm? She’ way too freaking close! My cheeks were burning; my whole body was feeling hot.
What is wrong with you? Why are you feeling like this? This is not the first time a girl gets way too close to you? You’re always like this with Ai-chan? But, this is…different. What are you thinking!? Reian, you baka! “Tanaka-san? Tanaka-san? Hello?”
The scolding in my mind was interrupted when I saw her waving her hand in front of my face. “Huh? Sorry.” God, I’m such an idiot! No wonder Ai-chan is my only friend. No one wants to be friends with someone like me.
Kamei-san offered to walk me home, and I happily accepted. As we were walking, we saw two figures standing under a street light. We couldn’t really see what they we’re doing because of the distance, but when Kamei-san and I got closer, we could clearly see what was happening…
fucking PDA. I had a disgusted look on my face, while Kamei-san hung her head low. I think she was embarrassed, because I could see a tint of light pink on her cheeks.
So cute~! Wait-what? I shook off the strange feeling that swept through me, and focused on the couple. I had an awesome idea. “Ano, Kamei-san?” she lifted up her head and looked at me. “What, Tanaka-san?” I have to admit, she kind of looked cute doing that…oh my god! Stop it, you baka!
“How about we surprise them?” I told Kamei-san my idea, and she seemed to like it, because she agreed quickly without hesitation.
This is going to be so much fun.We walked from behind them and “BOO!” they both jumped at the same time, and then looked at us. “What the hell is wrong with you?” “Stop sucking face in public! It’s disgusting! Get a freaking room, will ya?” they both gasped in shock and then the girlfriend quickly grabbed her boyfriend’s arm and walked away. “Don’t forget, always use protection!” I shouted as they disappeared.
I felt so proud of myself, and as I was praising my awesomeness, I heard Kamei-san giggling. She looked at me and said: “That was so fun. Did you see the look on their faces? It was priceless.” I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear.
Kamei-san, I want to get to know you better.She walked me home as promised, and you couldn’t imagine the awkwardness.
“Mom?”
What the hell is she doing here? I thought she said that she didn’t want to see me again. But what is she doing here staring outside my apartment? “Reina!” she hugged me, but I didn’t hug her back. Why would I? “God, you have no idea how much I’ve missed you.” She started stroking my hair. “Oh! Who’s your friend?” I guess she noticed Kamei-san standing behind me. “Hello, my name is Ka-““Her name doesn’t matter! What are you doing here? Why are you here?” I glared at my mother. “Aren’t you happy to see me?” “No, I’m not!” I shot back. I was so mad, I wanted to slap her across the face, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. She’s still my mother whether I like it or not.
After staying silent for some time, she finally spoke. “Reina-chan, I’m sorry…” she started crying.
Great, yeah just great! She likes making me look like the bad guy! I’m the victim here, not her! I was sick of it, of her, of everything. I had to get away from her. Seeing her made me sick to my stomach. “Come with me.” I grabbed Kamei-san’s hand and started walking. “Reina!” I heard my mother calling, but I didn’t want to see her. I hate her. “Tanaka-san! Stop it!” Kamei-san tried to release herself from my grasp, but failed. “What are you doing? Stop it!”
She was getting on my nerves. Why wouldn’t she just shut the hell up! I stopped and pushed her. She flinched as her back and head made contact with the concrete wall. “You’re irritating me, and I’m getting fed up with you.” I said with a cold voice. As I was walking closer, she started whimpering. “Tanaka-san, you're scaring me…”

Eri’s POV“Tanaka-san, you’re scaring me…” tears started to build up under my eyes as I watched getting closer, and closer. I closed my eyes preparing myself for whatever was going to happen. I waited, and waited, but…nothing happened. I slowly opened my eyes and saw tears rolling down her cheeks.
